The reason why sasuke didn't recognize the ten tails because he didn't saw the monster in that form during the war. He arrived when the ten tails was in its 2nd or 3rd form already.

If there are multiple trees then there are multiple Ten Tails too. Ten Tails is a seedling and then becomes a tree after eating a live Otsutsuki in order to execute its biological metamorphosis.

@@terminalarray1047 honestly i disliked the series after the Zabuza arc, because it started deviating towards what it eventually became. I enjoyed the fact that 2 jonin fighting was a big thing, that strong, powerful Ninjutsu drained alot of Chakra, so taijutsu and more deceptive low Chakra consuming moves were used in an intelligent mannor to gain the upper hand or set up the victory.
I enjoyed the rest of the series, but i just felt it could have been on a whole other level without going so far over the top. Fun games though.

Love the attention to the continuity of the Naruto franchise in this episode. It makes sense why Sasuke didn't know that Tailed Beast was the Ten Tails because he wasn't in the battlefield when the Ten Tails was in its first form.
