I realize Im quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
@Hayes Harlan Flixportal :)
@Isaiah Ivan Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !!
@Hayes Harlan Glad I could help :)
1. “I can’t carry it for you. But I can carry you!”
You will never change my mind.
Bro legit, such a moving scene. The character who may have seemed the least of all at the beginning, is the one that cemented victory of the whole battle.
I don't know the you bow to no one scene could give it a run for its money.
Absolutely
U bow to no one. That's mine
But Sam's speech is my all time favorite scene in any movie. Those people could go back but they didn't there's good in this world.
Dude 90% of the scenes in LOTR give me goosebumps, and The Hobbit too for that matter. My favorite movies of all time.
Agreed
Still to this day they are the best ever made
People gotta stop hating on the hobbit although there may have been a few weird things most of it is really good (although lotr is still better)
The hobbits are clearly for a younger audience and serve a different purpose. They're fine but they don't touch the LOTR trilogy's excellence
I cried in the last movie
Faramir riding out on his suicide mission with Pippin’s singing in the background always gives me goosebumps
That isn't Faramir. She is the young woman the Rohorrim king told to stay home.
rutabagasteu Eowyn, I know. I’m talking about when Denethor was eating the chicken and having Pippin sing to him while Faramir rides out on a mission where he is the only one who survives. The part where they rode through Gondor and all the people were throwing flowers at them as they went by
@@rutabagasteu yeah, they’re talking about the RotK scene where Faramir is ordered by Denethor to retake Osgiliath and charges to his death
I agree, the 'death ride' is one of the most cinematic scenes from all three movies
@@rutabagasteu and Eowyn rides with Merry
Gandalf’s speech enlightens us, Sam’s speech gives us hope, Aragorn’s speech drives away our fear and King Theoden’s speech makes us motivated.
#LOTR #Masterpiece
They all motivate me nonetheless
I disagree
Gandalf's speech give us peace
Sam's speech give us hope
Aragorn's speech give trust
Theoden's speech give us courage
We’ll said my friend.
2:56 Gollum looking up in hope and then back down again when he realizes it's too late for him is the most heartwrenching part of this scene 😭
Men of Gondor... Of Rohan... My brothers!
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come, when the courage of Men fails, and we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves, and shattered shields, when the age of Men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
Modern day.....Loads AR15 instead of drawing sword
Heh heh, somehow I doubt that would be as impactful.
"You bow to no one" The perfect quote to end an amazing trilogy.
Good list, here is mine:
5- the departure of Boromir
4-opening to the battle of the black gate
3-the outcasts arrive to Helms Deep
2-Charge of the Rohirrim
1-The bridge of Khazad-dum
Especially if you extend the bridge scene to them crying outside in the snow and Frodo does that "I'm done" look. Gets me every damn time.
outcasts?
@@dogodoge9657 yep, when Theoden was under the spell of Saruman, he gave order to expel Eomer, so Eomer and his loyal cavalrymen rode away and became outcasts. When (or before... cant remember exactly)) Helm's deep was attacked Gandalf went north to get Eomer and his men to come help Theoden fight the attackers.
ohhhh right, it all makes sense im dumb lol i though its some overlooked faction in the movie or something like for example grey company was, thanks.
Lunatic Fringe the thing is that he knew he made the decision that killed him so he thought it was all his fault
The Charge of the Rohirrim always gets me
Never understood the people hating on Bernard Hill. He portrays Théoden's internal struggles just perfectly.
People hate him?! He was fantastic and perfect for the role! He was one of my favorite performances overall.
I've literally never heard anyone hate on the portrayal of Theoden.
@tomralph8540 nor have I. I would have followed that man into battle
I cant ever watch these without starting to tear up in some sense, either because of its associations with a simpler time in my life when i was a kid growing up watching these or the immense emotional power they exude or both. In my mind, the 90s and the early 2000s truly had some of the best movies out there as far as being a balance between effects and emotional storytelling.
literally this but i feel this way about a lot of the early 2000s
You cut off #2 too soon. The goosebumps really come through when the violin starts playing
But still, nice video. Got yourself another subscriber
The 2nd one always gets me lol
True
When Faramir, after hearing Sam, realizes they had more in common than he originally thought... and sends them off to Mordor
Yup was thinking the exact same
Gonna just throw out a Howard Shore appreciation post. My guy crushed it, and the soundtrack alone is epic. Absolute brilliance. It makes the writing, production, acting, editing, and all of it so much better. Brava good master Shore.
3:21 I like this little detail. It shows that even Sméagol was moved by Sam’s speech
Every time these theme plays, gets goosebumps:
-The Ring Theme
-Shire Theme
-Bridge og Khazad-Dum
-Rohirrim Theme
Basically every music in lotr gives me goosebumps
"My friends.... You bow to no one" I cry every damn time.
This, the reunion, Sam carrying Frodo, and lastly the Grey Havens are the most emotional I've ever gotten in any movie. The trilogy was a masterpiece and made even better by the soundtrack
Theoden King Stands alone .
Goosebumps came out of body.
This movies give me goosebumps since the opening with galadriels speech till the last scene when Sam closes the door
These are all amazing scenes, but the one that gives me goosebumps the most is "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!" That bit is awesome, Sam is one of the best characters portrayed in film and definitely in the best trilogy of all time.
Everybody always cheering to Frodo but he wouldn't make it far without Sam! He's the true hero of this story in my opinion.
I love how you made this video. No bs at the beginning or in between scenes, just pure lotr, then you talk after I've already watched it all. I appreciate people who do that.
The Kings speech does it for me. Rides along tapping the spears then the roar of the riders. A real feel good teary moment.
For me the most moving moment will always be Frodo narrating while he finishes his book and then sailing off to the Undying Lands. It's just heartbreakingly perfect and bittersweet, and the essence of the story. Same goes for "my friends, you bow to no one"!
"they have business with the orcs, my business is with Isengard tonight, with a rock and stone, come my friends the Ents are going to war, it is likely we go to our doom, last march of the Ents" then the music hits and the hairs on you arms stand on their ends, and you feel the chill run down your spine.
It is my favorite scene ever, everything comes together nicely, the buildup, the music, the acting, then the payoff, it is perfection.
In my opinion, some of the saddest moments in this trilogy are the moments when Frodo chooses Gollum over Sam, and Sam begins to cry.
It really gets you, because Sam is always there for Frodo. He gives him strength, and motivation, and even saves his life several times. But Frodo chooses Gollum after Gollum blames the loss of the Lembas bread on Sam, and manipulates him. Just so sad.
Any scene with Legolas gives me goose bumps 😂
The last 5 minutes of FOTR is up there for me. Breaking of the Fellowship is one of my favourite scores of the trilogy.
The best thing about Lord of the Rings...
is Everything about Lord of the Rings
#4 is great. Even Gollum is showing genuine sadness
Poor Sméagol that turned into Gollum
I still remember the cheering and clapping in the theater during Theoden's speech and when they were marching, what a magical moment...
Thank you Tolkien. Not just a genius of literature, but a truly good man, who loved the good and brought it to life in a new way to understand glory and hope, and the Gospel.
The simple fact that Gandalf’s stand against the balrog wasn’t on here saddens me. By far the greatest scene in cinema history
King Theoden had some of the coolest armour i've ever seen 5:43 i wonder what civilization its inspired from. His helmet, shoulder guards, breast plate, sword and sheild are just too awesome looking. I guess you got to look good when you ride to the death...6:53
He looks kinda like a Polish winged hussar without the wings. The charge at Mina's tirith is based on a Polish charge at the battle of Vienna. Tolkien was a big fan of history
@@jasonrichardsondvi177 I'm not exactly sure where you see the polish winged Hussar armour (especially with the Celtic Styled symbols on the greaves, lack of the distinctive visor that hussars often wore, cuisses made from scale mail unlike the typical for hussar armour - plate armour etc. ). Also I'm pretty sure this charge at Mina's Tirith is based on the Battle of Cataluanian Fields due to the multiple references made by Tolkien ( e.g. the way how Theoden dies is extremely similar to how King Theodoric I died). Just few small remarks :)
@@szymonkozak5448 Rohan is based of the Anglo Saxons. Assuming they mastered the horse. Which they did not. But I'm saying it looks similar.
The symbols, images, and armour are based on some of the awesomely beautiful Anglo Saxon artifacts.
Tolkien based most of his stories on british history and heritage, he said quite often that it was Britain if Britain had( as mentioned above) a deeper relationship with the horse ( as Tolkien himself had) and that these stories were ment to be the history of Britain as he would have wanted it to be. Because Britain has very little written history that is vast and gripping. Beowulf being pretty much the only written legend from times past that is well known.
From the extended version:
"Boarded? By You and whose army?"
Aragorn: "This army"
6:35 me to my friends when we're about to head into the mathematics test
best comment on the internet! ROFL
Ride of the rohirrim will always be my first.. that feels man
Charge of the Rohirrim...best scene ever!
this is top 5 for me
5) Legolas declares Strider's true name at the Council of Elrond
4) You shall be the Fellowship of the Ring
3) Bridge of Khazad-Dum and the fall of Gandalf
2) Boromir saying- My King to Aragorn at the time of his death
1) Aragorn's speech at the black gate to his soldiers
Sam's speech even touched the Smeagol part of Gollum... To me, in my heart, it'll always be number one...
Love lord of the rinsg forever
"You bow to no one." Why not eleven great moments?
Happy Subscriber
or 12?
1. "My friends.... You bow to no one"
You forgot to add the for Frodo scene that give me goosebumps all the time
Hi
Right... the entire victory of Aragorn's character can't be left out.
LOTR is just a masterpiece of goosebumps, epic moments and beautiful stories
2:50 was amazing. He talked about having so many chances of turning back, which is why I love the deleted scene of the fellowship leaving Rivendell in FOTR. Elrond states: “on this journey, no oath, nor bond, is laid upon you to go further than you will” all the members of the fellowship had the option of turning back though none of them did. Tolkien is a genius and so are these movies
I think “the stories that really matter” scene is one of the best in movie history
Great job with your channel. Good luck with further endeavours.
I would replace #5 with the lighting of the Beacons of Gondor. This music and visuals combined just get me every time. It takes a good passage from the books and makes it great.
Why change? I was thinking as I watched and waited for The Lighting Of The Beacons, that there should be *SIX* -- "The Top SIX Lord Of The Rings Scenes That Will Give You Goosebumps"
Most goose bumpy moment for me is "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you"
I’m sorry but I can’t someone who thinks Eomer and Gandalf saving the day at helms deep is a better moment than the Rohirrims charge at Pelennor Fields
For me it was this scene with a quote by Aragorn: "I would have gone with you to the end. Into the very fires of Mordor.”
Damn right on #1 epic slot out of entire franchise. Keep up the good work
The question that we should ask ourselves is which scene of LOTR does not give you goosebumps ?
Denathor eating a tomato that's it. List done
There were few more you left out
1. "I can't carry it for you. But I can carry you" -Sam
2. "My friends... You bow to no one" -Aragorn
3. "For Frodo" -Aragorn
4. Ending scene of FOTR. The scene of Boromir vomes to save Hobbits and the seen of Sam trying to come with Frodo
5. The scene of litting beacons after Pippin lit the beacon of Gondor and then Theodon saying "And Rohan will Answer"
(These are not in order)
Sam's soliloquy in Osgiliath could have gotten us through 2020 better...
Awesome video! First, I want to say congratulations for those 10k subscribers! If you continue to produce amazing content such as this, I'm sure your channel will just keep growing more and more! I agree with the list presented in the video, I'd only change number 1 with number 2, in my opinion. But these scenes just show the epicness that the LOTR films have. The films, in my opinion, are able to take us on a journey to another world full of magic and supernatural beings without forgetting the most important things in real life, like friendship, compassion, courage, kindness, among many others. This of course comes from the books and most importantly from the brilliant man behind Middle-Earth's story. Anyways keep producing these awesome videos! Ps: Good luck with the whole dying hair thing :)
Frodo's "dream" of Gandalf plunging into the water with Balrog. The slowed down scene right before the water rushes towards them where the still water is illuminated by Balrog's flames. Gorgeous, dramatic and chilling shot.
I would add 1) Boromir's death, when he says (to Aragorn): "I would have followed you, my brother ... my Captain ... my King."
2) Before the final battle, Aragorn turning to Gandalf (after being drawn to Sauron's eye), and says to Gandalf 2 simple words: "For Frodo." Goosebumps! Then one-man charge! Love it when Merry & Pippen are the very next to join Aragorn's charge, before anyone else! Hobbits are truly bad-asses! :p
3) Gandalf vs. Balrog. Gandalf stops short of the bridge, turns around to confront Balrog, and utters 4 famous words... ... ummm... ... I can't remember what he says exactly, ... something like "You can't go through" or something close to that :p
"You, shall not, pass!
0:43 "And then you see it. White Shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise."
Gandalf is a Maiar Spirit of Valinor, in Middle-Earth he took on the shape of an Old Man or Wizard. He has come from the Undying Lands, and has gone hence after fighting the Balrog and come back as the White Rider. My assumption is that Gandalf speaks of Valinor here, and his own experience of 'dying', and then he describes the Undying Lands as one would see who approaches Valinor for the first time.
No that doesn't sound so bad at all, indeed.
Only pippen wouldnt go there
He would go to be with the one god Eru Illuvatar
Gandalf went to the Halls of Mandos, where he was granted a second chance by Eru Iluvatar himself, not unlike Glorious Glorfindel who sacrificed himself by taking on the Balrog when Doriath was assaulted. Glorfindel's sacrifice was enough for him to be granted a second life by Eru Iluvatar.
You forgot “I AM A SERVANT OF THE SACRED FIRE!...”
You forgot: "i never thought i'd die fighting side by side with an elf" "how about side by side with a friend?" "Aye i could do that" i swear it makes me cry every time
The _"...but I_ can _carry you!"_ scene should be number one
4:34 the horn of Rohan is one of the big factors that gives me goosebumps. Feel like it would have been so much better if it weren't cut out from this clip
The relationship between Gandalf and Pippen is my favorite in the series.
The, “I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you!” scene always gives me the goosebumps.
The Lighting of The Beacons should be in there, perhaps "The Top Six..."? The combination of the tenseness of everything happening at that moment, then the music starts, and the camera soars and flies across miles and miles... Can't beat that for goosebumps in my humble opinion
When Sam carried Frodo up the steps of Mt. Doom. “I can’t carry it for you Mr. Frodo, but I can carry you.”
6:45 is more of a make me cry scene
Boromir death also gave me goosebumps
Lord of the rings soundtrack is the best ever made hands down!
This was great, amazing video...
There’s about 50 scenes worthy of being in this. Best movies ever made.
When Sam says "I would have followed you to the end" that's most emotional 😭 that's a real ride or die.Im tearing up now,and ppl are staring,so I'ma leave now😅
Beautiful video!!!
Love your channel!! Keep up the amazing work!!!!!!!!
Anymore news on the LOTR TV series??
What about a Q + A?
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!
Now I already loved these movies ever since I first saw the first two. I was blessed enough and my parents let me watch them, but the return of the king movie it my favorite series of all time to this day. The ride of the rohirrim was just amazing and still hasn’t been topped for me.
The "death death death " scene i.e. riders of Rohan arriving at gondor
Made me shiver
Literal goosebumps ❤
I think underneath, smeagol really does want to be a good character he is so underrated.
"Courage, Merry. Courage for our friends".
Excellent... Good job!!
Great choices but the slow gallop in the ride of the rohirrim to the full charge forsaking death still gives me goosebumps
"Ride for ruin and the world ending! DEATH!"
"A sword day! A red day! And the sun rises!"
Theoden king. I would ride into battle with words like that
This youtube channel is everything Ive ever needed in my life.
It stirs something deep inside all men that they must fight for good and this fight night B and America right now
I am crying. Like always. LOTR is my home.
“White shores and beyond… A swift sunrise…”
#2, whej the spears are drawn out and the music starts playing... yeeesssss **chef's kiss**
That really did send goosebumps through my body amazing video 💓
A wonderful collection of meaningful scenes.
I legit got goosebumps and I am impressed with your knowledge of the body
1 For Frodo
2 Sam's speech to Frodo
3 Rohan arrives to gondor
4 Gandalf's speech to Frodo
5 I Cant Carry it for you, but I Can Carry you.
6 You bow to no one
7 Gandalf and Rohirrim to Helms Deep
8 Gondor attacks the Orks in Osgiliath.
9 Gandalf's speech to Pippin.
Lotr will never be old....coz..it's golden...
"What does your heart tell you?"
Thank you for making the video
Greattt! Loved the list :)
Galadriel transforming into Mecha-Galadriel when Frodo offers her the Ring.
The flight to the ford
Sam says “Just let it go!” to Frodo at Mt. Doom.
The Balrog appears
Neo turns to face Agent Smith in the subway instead of fleeing.
The death of Boromir should have been on the list. I still shed a tear everything time I see it.
Let this be the hour... we draw swords together.
I love when they just start screaming death
Harradrim gives me goosebumps every single time. Their horn is the best
The second charge of Rohan toward the oiliphants did the work for me
17 years have gone by and I still so vividly remember that orc's battle cry @5:23
