I know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me.
I'll second that and add it would be wonderful if you could take us through the steps of making a photobook (assuming you haven't already made a video about it)
Yes, a lot of Neistat in this one.. which I'm sure Ted is away of his view on whether you're copying or being inspired by. It doesn't bother me, though, Neistat's style is dope. He stopped doing daily vlogs, so I'm happy to see a touch of it on this channel. I love Ted. I've been watching your posts for a while now. You're the reason I blew a bunch of money on my first camera and lens, and will definitely inspire me to buy more gear and snap more pictures. The truth and beauty of images needs to be celebrated and admired more now than ever. Thanks for your work.
I was agape when I saw these pictures..... They are spellbinding, breathtaking !!!!!! Anyone looking for future of photography, it is right there in these books. It definitely enhanced the appeal of this already aesthetic show. Thanks to the photographers, and of course, to Ted !!
Hands down the most inspiring photography channel. For me, at least !!! Keep it up Ted , I'm so glad I found out your (then) podcast back in '08 ... '09 .... ??? Downloaded all the episodes, started watching and that was it !! I'm hooked and never missed an episode .... now ..... if only I could find the courage to start a blog !! Happy New Year !
Another very nice video worth slowing down to take a look at. And I'd still like you to do a discussion on Color vs. B&W photos. We all feel the difference but it's hard to put into words what is going on down deep. It's not just having the lights "on or off"
Prelude to Silence looks like an incredible piece of work. I wish I was around when this video was uploaded so I could have gotten my hands on one. Someone else in the comments said they sold out, really unfortunate
New sub: This series is just what I need this year...getting out of tech g.a.s. getting into studying the "masters" and back to the art. Looking forward to going through your archives
Thanks Ted for an inspirational episode. I'm working on my first zine right now, just a little hand printed and bound project to hand out at a social gathering that we have the second Saturday of each month for a group I'm part of (North Texas Film Photography); but I really hope it is well received and leads to much more in my future. Keep up the great work. I'm really glad to see the return of the mail episodes.
Thank you soooo much for NOT ripping them open. I hate it when people do that, especially, if they don´t know what´s inside (like fan mail). It´s so disrespectfull to do.
That F3 is gorgeous! Mine's all beat up and worn. It has a dent in the pentaprism and you can see the brass underneath the black enamel on the corners of the body, but it still works like a charm. I just need some new glass. Manual focus AIS lenses aren't cheap! 📷💸
We live in exciting times regarding photography. I really enjoy your videos. I think that its your honesty that is the best. Hope you have a wonderful year.
I am watching this video again and I am inspired. About to print out my 2nd Zine when I realized that there is another way to print it without using difficult apps.
This video just popped up on my notifications and I checked your description and saw that you're located off of Hulen! That's awesome because I lived in Fort Worth and lived off of Hulen too! Cool beans!
I didn't know what photography zines were until today. And after watching these great photobooks your viewers sent in, I got very excited to make my own. I have so many pictures that I took, so I'm very excited to sort through them to choose the best of the bests. I'm going to use Blurb as you mentioned in a previous comment. Any tips for making my first zine maybe? You'll definitely receive one by the way. Your videos taught me and inspired me a lot!
Hope this helps. RUclips changed the way notifications are handled. On the home page of the channel in the top right corner is a bell icon. Click on that and make sure notifications are turned on.
I think you're right Todd. I just click on the BELL Icon and it said that I will receive a notification each time a new video will be published. So my guess is that RUclips gives you now 2 options. You can follow a channel without receiving notifications or choose to receive those notifications. I think that makes sense because I wish to be notified for specific channels that are of importance to me, as "The Art of Photography" - await for them enthusiastically. BTW Ted great video and thanks for sharing the books and Zines with us. Many thanks also to the people who sent them that are part of your/our great community of passionate and enthusiastic photographers (of all levels).
Please do more of these book/ zine reviews! if it is possible can you put in a link to where to buy them? I want to support other photographers and not only the well know professionals.
As a college student studying photography it's so good to come across your channel - this video really inspired me and I'm definitely subscribing :) I hope to be able to create a project in the future and have something physical to hold out of it!
Thanks for that, fascinating, I love the dark book by Emil Handke, what I like about your videos and the way you work on them, you are like what a good teacher should be, you transmit enthusiasm because of your own enthusiasm.
Hello Sr, "You" are realy an "inspiration" for me... I click lot of photographs but they are just on the screen... as you said. You realy inspire me to get things done, thankyou Sr. I, will try to create an photo book after my exams..... With love Shanu
Wow, I will look into Zines Question in the one book there were people. Do you have to get model release for every person you snap? Commercial or private Cheers Forest Arts-Steve
I haven't seen anybody answer the question about notifications yet. It is my understanding that RUclips did change the way this works a few weeks ago. You no longer automatically get notifications for all of your subscription. After you subscribe and the "Subscribe" button turns into a "Subscribed" button, there will be a bell next to it. You have to click on the bell to turn on notifications. You have to do this for each of your subscribed channels.
Thank you for your kind words and sharing my work Ted. I am glad you liked it. A few people asked where to see more of those 'postcards' heres the full project www.theresnoonehere.com and the prints are here www.oof.co.nz/product/there-s-no-one-here-limited-ed-print-set For the people asking where to start with printing zines or books. There's many places, Blurb is the most known one, but very expensive and somehow limiting if you pretend to sell it or share it. I also recommend HP Mag Cloud they are cheaper but also part of Blurb. I strongly recommend trying photocopiers and risographs methods as well as local printers. If you are lucky to live in NY, check out the NY Artbook Fair done by MoMA and Printed Matter. If you live in LA head down to the LA Artbook Fair also done by Printed Matter laartbookfair.net/ those are great events to meet with photographers, printers, distributors, artists, etc. Get printing!
Hey Ted. Love the channel. But I don´t know if its just my speakers, the volume difference between the music and you talking was really much. The music was way higher. But other than that. Loved it and keep up the good work :) and happy new year !
Hi Ted, this video was very inspirational. I love the physical photo projects and I was curious on how and amaetuer would go about making a zine? Love all that you do!
Those zines look great, how many pages are they each? There's a glitch that has been unsubscribing people from channels at random for a few months by the way, so that's probably why people aren't being seen.
This stuff was really inspiring ! thanks for showing us the work! Does someone of you know where I can produce such an envelope styled images like Chris Leskovsek did (at 1:13) really love the compelling layout thanks in advance :)
lol! I started watching your channel when you still had around 2000+ subscribers and truly that was a lot of videos. I stayed because your approach to photography is totally different.
Please start asking people to click the bell icon to get notifications rather than just click subscribe! I've heard other RUclipsrs complain that their views are down because they don't have enough subscribers receiving notifications. I've been receiving Art of Photography notifications to my iPhone for months now, and I think you should definitely ask people to do this so that you get the views you deserve, and more of your subscribers can actually get your great content!
Just right of the subscribed button there is a small bell. Be sure to klick that one and tick in the question "Send me all notifications from this channel" to be sure not to miss anything.
Hi, I'm pretty new at this making zine thing. I really want to make a zine but don't know anything about printing or print quality. Can someone help me out? Thanks :D
I LOVE!!! Zum magazine.... it`s the best photography magazine in brazil =D i got a nice collection of it =) the IMS is a fundation of one of the most rich families in brazil, who suport art =)
Great video, as always. However, I find the music a bit jarring. Maybe you could try some music that's not too heavy on the beats, I don't know. But keep up the awesome work!
Nothing is as enjoyable for me as seeing my works in actual print form. There's a special feeling seeing the physical form of an idea.
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me.
Share more Zines and photo books and personal photo projects! I could watch these everyday.
I'll second that and add it would be wonderful if you could take us through the steps of making a photobook (assuming you haven't already made a video about it)
They are smashing projects
I started 2 years ago pursuing my passion for photography, learning so much from you man, thank you for still creating and inspiring us
Incredible. Thanks to you and everyone that risked sending their works of love to you. A favorite episode for sure. Cheers!
I admire ALL the work but I have to say that Chris's project utilizing postcards in that envelope is so incredibly cool, interesting, and creative.
Yes, a lot of Neistat in this one.. which I'm sure Ted is away of his view on whether you're copying or being inspired by. It doesn't bother me, though, Neistat's style is dope. He stopped doing daily vlogs, so I'm happy to see a touch of it on this channel.

You're channel is binge-worthy, loving the style. Hoping to see much more of you in 2017!
I had a few lazy weekends where this replaced netflix, enjoy!
I was agape when I saw these pictures..... They are spellbinding, breathtaking !!!!!! Anyone looking for future of photography, it is right there in these books. It definitely enhanced the appeal of this already aesthetic show. Thanks to the photographers, and of course, to Ted !!
Brilliant zines. I love how the photographers put their heart and effort into their projects. Gives me inspiration for Christmas gifts for 2017.

I''ve been on an art of photography marathon for the past 4 hours. Love your videos! Learned a lot from you :)

Ted, your videos are so well done and you are awesome on camera. Thanks for keeping us all entertained and informed.

This kind of stuff gets me so excited about photography and creating in general. Love the channel.
Beautiful showcase... the whole idea of doing a "zine" is intriguing. Thank you for sharing.
We live in exciting times regarding photography. I really enjoy your videos. I think that its your honesty that is the best. Hope you have a wonderful year.
I am watching this video again and I am inspired. About to print out my 2nd Zine when I realized that there is another way to print it without using difficult apps.
Of all the channels I watch you get THE best stuff in mail time. thanks for sharing.
Would appreciate more detail on these zines - type of paper, size, who printed, printing method, how designed (in design?), etc.
This video just popped up on my notifications and I checked your description and saw that you're located off of Hulen! That's awesome because I lived in Fort Worth and lived off of Hulen too! Cool beans!
Great to see people doing their photos in print- really amazing to see- thanks for sharing them with us.
Prelude to silence is mesmerising
just so easy to watch and listen to, love the show.
Great Video. Do you have any recommendations for where to print one of these Zines? Have you covered this before? Thanks Ted.
I didn't know what photography zines were until today. And after watching these great photobooks your viewers sent in, I got very excited to make my own. Great work you got there! I saw some very talented and passionate photographers whom work you shared. Great!

I so love that you showed these zines. Wouldn't mind if you shared more 😊 Also love your channel!
Every time I come and watch your videos I get inspired. Thank you so much from these uploads.

Hello Sr,

Just subscribed - Great channel and I loved the zines. Keep up the good work!
Your a great RUclipsr ! Strong delivery.
Hi Ted, this video was very inspirational. I love the physical photo projects and I was curious on how and amaetuer would go about making a zine? Love all that you do!
Hello, would you mind to share the name and title of the book who made the one with the pinhole photographs? thank you :)
Where do you go to get zines printed? Also how do you go about compiling them?
Those zines look great, how many pages are they each? There's a glitch that has been unsubscribing people from channels at random for a few months by the way, so that's probably why people aren't being seen.
INSPIRING, AS ALWAYS, Mr. Forbes! I'm curious as to the music used for the montages... It's very acid jazz/drum & bass.
This stuff was really inspiring ! thanks for showing us the work! Does someone of you know where I can produce such an envelope styled images like Chris Leskovsek did (at 1:13) really love the compelling layout
thanks in advance :)
lol! I started watching your channel when you still had around 2000+ subscribers and truly that was a lot of videos. I stayed because your approach to photography is totally different.

Awesome video! Any recommendations of website to print zines ? Thank you! :)
Just right of the subscribed button there is a small bell. Be sure to klick that one and tick in the question "Send me all notifications from this channel" to be sure not to miss anything.
Great ideas!! Loved this episode!
Is that a Spyderco knife you are using?
Happy new year
