I have always struggled integrating a 3D Planet into my scenes. For some reason I never thought of just using an image on a plane. As always: great video!
I wish I had seen this video before I made my mission to minerva animation, my planet would have been looking a lot better! The planet you made in blender looks amazing!
Thanks. I’m actually working on an addon, that lets you add these planets with one click. In the first version you can just choose from a lot of pre-rendered planets, but the plan is, that you can customise them also, to create your own unique one. Just have to learn Python for that🙃
in my opinion the sun light is kinda unrealistic on ship, i think u should of tried area light instead or stuff like that( i dont really know what i am talking about) otherwise the retexturing u did was amazing, like the overlay thing with ther other texture is super cool, idk i saw william landgren do that a bunch in his streams but know i really want to try it thanks!
Haha, that was a last minute thing I did in Davinci resolve. I just googled for lensflare, and found something I wanted on a black background. I then just mixed it onto the footage with the screen mode, and animated the opacity , so that it would just appear in the specific moment.
@@kinjoyokai367 how do you add that? I know these are features of the paid studio version of Davinci, which I don’t have. But I’m planning on getting that
It honestly looks almost or as good as the tv show

Me too. I’ve always used a full sphere, and the rendering increased immensely
Awesome work! Thank you for sharing your workflow, tips and tricks
Your work inspires! Thanks for the video!
great video again, love to watch these to learn new techniques
Thanks for sharing your process!! It's amazing work to have it done in just one day ;) that's very inspiring ;)

How did you do the dirty lens effect in the final render

@@mlt-studios Lens Flare, Dirt Lense and Chromatic Abberation pushed me a huge step forward. Very nice work!

The lighting direction on the planet and ship doesn't match
