Thank you! As a new 10U coach I'm trying really, really hard to teach the girls a good foundation in pitching they can grow with. I see so many coaches in our little league not giving good fundamentals. Doing wrist snap drills and not understanding the pitch mechanics.
I'm researching this because I see the girls try so hard and get frustrated with poor results. Now I'm understanding why.

Phil, thanks for the video. This is great. My 16 year old daughter has battled leaping/separating from the rubber for several years and her drag is essentially your 3rd example (short line that shoots off from the rubber). What kind of drills do you recommend for her to develop a strong, powerful drive? There is no doubt that she is losing power and velocity as she is 5'9, 160 pounds and very athletic. She is terribly frustrated because her coaches keep telling her she should be throwing at least 60, but she has been stalled at 55 or so for a couple of years. Please help.

Thx, for the info. My pitcher has the third line issue.
With this I can probably make more sense when explaining the importance of balance.
