Camera continues to amaze me! Not exactly small, but when you consider all the ‘weather resistant lenses” you aren’t packing…
I found one in great shape used, but missing the eye cup. I can’t seem to find a way to replace so didn’t purchase.
We really wanted to see it, and tested in perfect conditions. Amazing channel subscribed!

Great video. I also still love my RX10IV. You could just add a bit of warmer light to the last one.
I never really shoot birds below 800 iso I set my auto iso limit at that and either shoot app priority or shutter p - for birds in flight - I still denoise and post process raw images and get good results- last week I tried full auto iso with no limit but above 800 I didn’t get good enough results and even post denoise tge puctyres lost a lot - but yes a great camera for birding due to flexibility and size v capability. Happy with mk 4 but can’t see why they don’t release a 5 !
I think they are concentrating on the fullframe and apsc stuff as the tech now they could cause a ruckus’s with an insane all in one super zoom
I also limit 800 ISO be aude the AI Denoise on my PC is so slow but I think LR or Topaz AI Denoise can do miracles, need to upgrade my PC first to not wait 30mins for one picture Denoise.
@@wildinthejardin 10 seconds on average for my denoise on photoshop raw on a 50mp raw from the a1

Super video on Rx10 mk4 low light. I dont have computer or software so have to try and get exposure right in camera. Ive been able to shoot at 1/100 and 1/160 and have had good results.
its a fantastic camera thats for sure. in camera is the best if you can do it keeping i real is what i like but the tools are there if we need them
@@sjm.photos Agree Stuart may have to get a laptop and some editing software to help in difficult situations.

Is 600mm on clear image zoom the Same as 600mm optical zoom. Cheers
600mm is optical then you can zoom into an enhanced crop in basically for clear image zoom upto 2x but in jpegs not raw
I find the shutter button pressure too high...hv to press harder than other cameras. End up with movements.
Is there any setting to adjust this?
nope ive never had any issues just have to get used to it. burst shooting is the best way though so you dab shoot so it will take say 1-5 shots in a push then for you maybe the way forward. but also hold the body with 2 hands the left hand under the lens then it wont move

@@Jocular-mt3jb the camera never failed but i was getting. New lens fitted as it was gassing on the front element a little bit. But sony opened it up and there was 2 water marks so they said even though its fine they wouldnt want it to fail possibly later so they gave me a new camera for the same price as the lens
thanks for this video. I'm looking for a travel camera. to travel light. im used to full frame r6ii with big lenses. But my back hurts when traveling.
Is this a good one then? i can reduce the noice in post what you did. i also have topaz labs.. But what you said about the 255 and 600 zoom.. when i put my 300mm on my canonr6ii. its full frame. what is that on this camera? 600 on this gives me the double whats on my canon range? thankyou!
its a 24-600mm f2.4 to f4 lens
What kind of PC do you have ? The AI Denoise of LR is quite fast.
A gaming laptop 5ghz i7 32gb ram and a 3080rtx gpu and 2x 2tb samsung evo m2 drives its quick
@@sjm.photos well I was about to also buy a gaming laptop not for game but for photo I do have in view the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16" 100% sRGB with 32GB AMD 7750HX + RTX3070 8GB, I was first targeting AMD 6xxx or 7xxx with iGPU only but I guess that whenever they are the fastest iGPU they will still need 5 minutes per picture.

Nope and also no need to worry as it has a leaf shutter which is almost zero wear and tear on it or in burst its electronic anyway

I hope mine never breaks because this camera is close to perfect, unless that mythical upgrade comes out.
Great video. Thank you Stuart. Good to see the Mk IV still acquitting itself well in low light. I am not happy with some of the images I get with the 6600, whereas the RX10 rarely disappoints. I shot images of Holkham Hall interior at Christmas with A6600 and 35mm 1.8 Most of the images were crap. I looked back to last year when I used RX10 at Belvoir Castle . The images were way better. For expediency I shoot Jpeg and if I want anything printed, the printers can sort out any necessary noise removal. The RX10 remains an amazing camera.
