I love how he drove the show and not let the producers drive him. He had a vision for the entrance, choreography etc and did it. Even seeing this example no other idol contestant had the creativeness or balls to do anything like this since.

I don't watch this show but I did and what a shame to see James voted off.. what a HUGE song choice..so risky.. Matthew Bellamy is one of the greatest singer's on the planet.. and James my brotha you nailed that shit.. may god bless you always!

There was a derogatory article involving James ex-step-father and I think that sabotaged James win. AI was probably afraid to have him as a winner after what he said about a conflict between James and his son. I thought he was terrible for doing that. James was great! James rocked every song/style he sang. I would cringe when I heard the song he picked because it was going to be tough and he nailed them. I was surprised, but he just kept doing an excellent job. There was a reason he was the only AI not in the top 3 to have a homecoming.

tonight's American Idol finale brought me here. I had to look up who James Durbin was, since i didn't watch that season...after seeing him sing in the men's group with Chris Daughtry. He sounded great with Daughtry.
