You can do Faro-Porto direct its an interesting journey on the blue train, lots of stops and train maneuveuring, got restaurant/bar, takes 9 hours or so.

You can't buy them online, but at the station this won't be a problem.

You're welcome, actually l only walked in Faro, because it's a small town. For long distance busses, you can check the website of Alsa or Flixbus.
