This was taken in the early 1990's. I actually remember being about 14 watching this shortly after it was taken and realizing that this is what I want to do with my life. If I remember correctly later in the documentary it showed those 2 getting their awards from the mother of the kids.
Also, the series was from the same network, creators and Film company who made "Cops" "Code 3" was a John Langley-Malcolm Barbour production for the Fox Network and 20th Century Fox's TV unit, 20th Television. It ran only from 1992-94.
Boston jakes are awesome. I rode with them Summer of 1987. Buffed on Rescue 1 out of Oliver Street, Fort Hill Square. Rode with Eddie Loder, Larry Holt, Bobby Breen, and Artie O'leary.
BFD is and always will be the example of fire firefighting at its best. I’ve lived next door to engine 40 in East Boston for years and became part of the engine company. I rode with them for years and experienced how these great men work. RIP to all my buddies that gave their very best. BFD is the first organized fire department in America. They were also the first in designing and implementing the firebox which is still used in America today. God bless you boys.
Wow, I remember watching this when I was still in elementary school! This was a great show and great footage as well! I remember another part, I don't know if it was the same episode, where there was a rescue at the Quincy Quarries, possibly Swingles?
Great work brothers.

EXCELLENT job!
If I'm not mistaken, Robert Staunton is the only person to be awarded the BFD's highest honor twice. RIP Lt. McGillicuddy
When did he pass?

Whenever there is a fire, especially house or apartment, there should be an ambulance there anyway
