Pete is 70 years old at the time of this concert. Just amazing.
Holy crap .. while I know that .. hearing that while putting in prospective is incredible! I'm 63 .. and psych myself to go get paper from the box .. 😂
That is amazing,,
Age is just a number
He's still playing very well. Compare with Ritchie Blackmore, who can hardly play now.
70 and it shows. pity. always going to love these dudes, but this wasn't their day.
40% - Dallas Mavericks fans (from 80s, to Dirk Nowitzki era, to present)
40% - GTA San Andreas fans
20% - Wonderful song
I always feel a little melancholy when I see my favorite band members get old but if they can keep going and rock on, so can I. So can I. Rock on.
Absolutely. I know how u feel, but roger seems to get better with age, singing wise. I was honoured to be there that hot summers night in june 2015. Fan....ingtastic!
@@colingeddes2172 Crap! You do not have access to the type of feel-goods these guys have. I am surprised they are 50% alive!

If you feel melancholy... search Pete townend pornography.... he was caught looking at some really bad stuff.......... judge must've been a nonce, cos Petey got away with it. I'll be glad when that guitar strumming nonce, is wormfood.
I love it when Roger picks up a guitar and backs Pete. The best ever live band
So do I!
Roger Daltrey and Townsend are still badass after all these years.
*"Its not often you hear The Who with Townshend on the vocals, but when he stepped up You knew he will blow you away. The greatest band to come out of the West London, no questions asked, no quater given. Turn it up people."* - Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith K-DST, GTA San Andreas (voice by W. Axl Rose).
Nice to see Roger trusted with playing 2 notes.
Man that crowd was subdued, these guys were jamming at the highest level, the drumming was superior, drummers always love the rocking numbers. Pete was pure and in epic form, bravo.
Second that brother. Hyped for the Europe tour next year.
That had there time. To shine. Now it's gone...

Hyde Park is one of the shittest festivals going... went to see GNR last year, you had to pay for everything, even to get to the front of the stage. Just a bunch of people with a lot of money and no soul, corporations and enterprises buying out slots for customers and colleagues. Not fans.
Maybe the crowd was an audience, and actually absorbed the performance.
The drummer has the perfect setup for social distancing
That's Zak Starkey, Ringo Starr's son! 🖤
That's for avoiding the ambience noise in the drum mics and getting a clean output...
Would’ve been better without the drummer there at all, somebody forgot to give him the memo that this isn’t a 6 min drum solo song.
@@SL-vw9pm what the heck are you on about? He sounds perfect. Excellent timing for the song.
@@SL-vw9pm You can bet that Pete and Roger wanted him there if he was there. After a century of playing, they would call the shots. Anyway, it minimizes "slap-back" throwing everyone out of synch.
Rock doesn’t get any better than this. I had to look up who the amazing young drummer was it was Zac Starkey who is Ringo Stars son.
one of thier greatest songs for sure
The guitarist is singing and the singer is playing guitar.
Pete is playing lead guitar and singing here.
This is by far more fave Who song, not least because it shows off Pete's awesome guitar skills.
The Who is basically a band that gets better when they get older plus their voices are smooth
If Keith were alive today, he wouldn't be in The Who. John yes, Keith no.
Tom Quinton I think so too. Keith Moon was perfect for those crazy 70’s days but nowadays drummers has gotten so much better and the drummer here does a fantastic job.
@@Carlos-xz3vi And that came from Pete himself. I forgot where I read it, but Pete says, if Keith were alive today, it's highly unlikely that he would be in The Who.
A fit and well 73-year old Keith, drumming for the Who with an appropriately high energy level, is a nice thought, but perhaps a bit fanciful!

If only John Entwistle listened this track before consuming more cocaine the night he died because of the eminence front in Vegas. He really dressed to kill that night. A legend was gone.

I'm trying to discover if the phrase "eminence front " existed before this song. Do you by any chance know?
There is nothing compares to this version . amazing how they're still rocking this song since the 80s. such a class act.
Hard to believe they are close to 80 now. Sucks getting old. Rock on!
Five decades on the pale blue dot: went here, went there. Came back around to my playlist from high school, and I remembered why Pete Townsend was always my favorite guitarist/musician.
Un minuto de silencio por aquellas personas que no han escuchado esta maravilla...
The Who is the best band ever. No other band has come close to matching their sounds. Listen to this with Studio Headphones.
I honestly don't strongly like a lot of their songs. I don't really hate em I guess. But this song to me makes them like the best band ever. I'm listening to this on my JBL 4311s, cranked. And I'm stoned. And it's just unreal. One of the best sounding songs ever. The guitar tone is my favorite and the structure that allows all those licks between and during the vocals. It's just the best song as a guitarist. Basically get to solo the whole song.
Nice to see Pino Palladino holdin' down the low end... one of my favorite tasty players!
Ummm..... tasty !!
Also loved him in PSP with Simon Phillips, a killer rhythm section....
Long live the who!
They did live long there 70
After all these decades, Pete, Roger, augmented by their GREAT team sound Incredible. They still have IT !
Unbelievable how good they were and are!!
This is such an interesting composition and certainly one I've enjoyed getting under the hood and learning. It was very advanced for it's day and the licks Pete adds in this performance is just master class. These guys absolutely throw down hard here. But what else would you expect from the Who?
The level of mastery of instruments is just mind-blowing. This is like watching the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, knowing that a long dark night or winter of talent is going to follow
What a great version of this great song. PT sounds amazing.
I agree. Voice is a little salty and it sounds fantastic. This whole concert was fantastic.
Zak Starkey 🥁🥁🥁🥁👍👍👍👍👍👍🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
This is good music...my good old friend Martin intrudused me to the The Who...Thank you love and RIP
Keith would be proud of the drumming 👍👍👍👍
Keith never heard this song :( I wonder how he would have played it differently in the studio
The most amazing band ever and my favorite The Who! ❤️
Yes, indeed!
Thank you THE WHO ! you made my life a bit better!!
Iggy sang the outro credits - class from the Who.
This is such a great tune :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
I love this song
Sun shines.. people forget..
so funky
A mitad camino entre Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Funkadelics, Génesis. Rock sinfónico & Funk. Una fusión.
WOW! My Favorite WHO (Townsend) song!! SOunds great!! YES!! Thanks!!! Glad to hear you still rocking great as ever!!
Oh my!! What a performance!. Sounds better than the studio version! Super!
The crowd was like Big Smoke.
*DEAD*
Maybe they picked the wrong house?
One of the best grooves ever written...
Percussion is nastyass in this one I'm so happy right now. Thanks for this gem. That crowd is an embarrassment to any WHO fan.
That crowd ..dead.
Nailed it 👍
Transfixed?
LOVE THIS SONG, gonna' do a cover, it's too good!
Really like Pete's playing in this version, more texture-based then usual, but with a hard rock edge
I love listen to them but i have to admit for me personaly this is the Best Track they ever put out for us...and the desert in this song is damn synthesizer (melody remindes me alot of intro of Vice City and i love damn 80s) :)
That's a perfectly valid opinion - no need to "admit" it!
this is pretty incoherent actually.
One of my favs!!!
The best solo
Freaking masters!!!
70 and way more enthusiasm than some people out there!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟😉
Drummer is f ing Great! POW
Zak Starkey son of Ringo Starr Beatles Drummer.
@@blues6782 that's what I was gonna say
Did not learn from his father much better you have to admit
@@blues6782 And according to pete was encouraged to learn guitar by his father until Keith moon gave him some drum sticks
@@jacksdjfam Ahh, nice, keith's still in the band in a way
Living legend...🤘
I've watched pretty much every live vid of this from 1982 on....Pete's still got it!...every time!
That's what's up! I was just thinking that same thing, except I was hoping to see if Pete was going to open up with the same funky dance from '82 live 🤭
the 1982 performance was clearly better. pretty ridiculous to equate them. i'm glad they're still going though.
T H E W H O, best band ever
The place is really jumping to the Hi Watt amps, rock is dead they say… Long live rock!
Thankfully at least two of them didn’t die before they got old.
Actually the crowd seems dead during Eminence Front, unlike they were for Baba O'Riley. Kinda sad cause this is a kick ass song.
Who understands what this song represents? 70s we’re real guys! Haven’t seen it since!!!
Hearing loss begins at a Who show.
Worth it
Yeah lol. Went to see them in 2001, couldn't hear properly for 3 days.....
It was more when entwistle was there especially in the late 60s and early 70e
For me it was the 3rd time seeing the Stones. I was up front, very close to a Keith monitor speaker. He started Jumping Jack Flash and almost took my head clean off.
I love this band!
They did a wonderful job on this mix beautiful
The feeling is very good
beautiful song! thanks!!!
amazing!!!
awesome❤️
Can't believe this was almost ten years ago
great job!
J'adore!!!!
This song is so effortlessly cool
wow, what a crowd
So fucking epic.
Ojalá hubiera podido ir / I wish I could have been there!
Play the straight beat goddammit!
Such a tune !
The quality is crisp. Damnnn
Increíble rocanrol gran requinto una banda legendaria . Felicidades x compartir 🙏👍👋👋
The best live version of Eminence Front around.
Toronto 1982
@@JordosGarage yeah, its even better
Saw them live in 2007 - the best back screens in big rock 20 minutes guitar solo Don't get fooled....
This kicks ass!
here we go!
I think it’s awesome.
Outstanding stuff, one of their greatest tracks, great performance!!!
They get older n the music is still young as ever 😢🔥
The best who song. Original bass is unreal
Mercury Records still producing the best global acts and who can blame them? These guys are awesome! Rock n Roll Forever :D
So darn good😎🎤🎶🎸🎹🎵
Yah freakin’ hoo!
Still rocking.
Grandioso. Qué gran tema. Qué tíos!
Sonido Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Funkadelics, Génesis. Rock sinfónico & Funk.
Such an incredible version of the song :)
Love this live version, not quite as much as the original, but both are just as superb in their own way.
Also gotta love the WMP-esque visualizer going on in the background, it's eerily similar to the shade of the neon green lighting that's featured on the original artwork for the album this song is from ("It's Hard"). I kinda wonder if that was intentional or not.
Yep, the live version from Toronto 1982, that’s on the deluxe cut of Its Hard, will always be the best version. Townshend still kicks ass here though! I love how much energy they have at their age. True love for the music!
Watching this on on my phone, never thought, that was possible, in my 20's , you don't even have a TV , these days
the Who !! Классные ребята ! Супер !
#1 always
Why is Roger pretending to play that telecaster? It’s a put on!
Ever since i sow the movie low abiding citizen, i love this song.
Whowser! Nice! Folks are listening... as I am here!
They can play funky too👍
They still rock cool
Congrats to the audio engineer
Was thinking the same
bring it on! ******
It still is.
Lo mejor de lo mejor....KDST...
