- Hello, Good People! The (Black) Hebrew Israelites are in the news again, and they came at me in the comments, so I figured I'd look into them more. You'll be amazed by what I found.
People got so mad that I called them 'cult adjacent' that it became obvious they were cult proper. You know who doesn't get mad when people say they're in a cult? People not in cults.

@@MayeMuses Not the OP but I have some insight on this - generally sacrificing animals isn't allowed since the last Jewish temple was destroyed. Kapparot is kind of a grey zone, and is not practiced by all religious Jews. Some oppose it because they see it as an animal sacrifice (which is not allowed), some oppose it because it's cruel to the chickens.
Half of my family does it and the other half doesn't. To me it always seemed cruel and primitive. There are some other versions of it where you use a plant instead of an animal, or just a clip of cash that you later give to charity. I hope the money-clip version overtakes the live chicken one, we should just embrace the stereotype with love and use it in religious ceremonies🤣
@@MayeMuses wow. I did not know about this at all. The article says that only ultra Orthodoxed Jews do this,and they do it out of siight and out of sound. So it is not surpising that I did not know about it.
I agree that they should have thrown it in the freezer and then given it to a poor person. Aparently, that is what both secular law and Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) law tells them to do.

Not saying that guy is completely correct, but women were not allowed to read when the Bible was written and most verses, especially in the Paulian epistles, are directed specifically to men. However, prior to the writing of the Bible, there was Judge Deborah in the Book of Judges that was tasked with interpreting the Law (Torah). The Black community is where it is for other reasons I'm not qualified to explain properly. It isn't the fault of the Black man or woman. It's the fault of the people who deleted Black people's original cultural identity.

Yeah. There's been found evidence of Joseph's story, what appears to be the bigging of the tribe of Judah, and Moses' story including his leaving Egypt with a bunch of slaves and his body not being found by Egyptian records after.

Most muslims are not semites . Only Gulf Arabs and Mizrahi jews are full semites. Even levantine Arabs are heavily non- semitic in their genes. Part of the reason "race" went out the window is because one of the first things you notice when you live in Israel is that most people here are brown or basically Black. Mizrahi Jews are the majority of Jews and a good chunk of them are from Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, and Libya. African Americans don't seem to get that there's a whole world out here that views ethnicity very differently from Americans. Race in the U.S. is something rich folks made up to create large voting blocks and divisions between millions of people. Ethnicity almost everywhere else is about a relative few thousand or maybe even few hundred people who have fatal level beef with everybody else around them. The miniscule subgroups are myriad and each has a whole history of why they don't mix certain ways or why they sometimes accept one kind of outsider but not others. So here, in order to survive, you have to break that American idea of "race" and figure out what social or ethno-social tribe you're in.

I appreciate that you went into the different groups under this label. I've known quite a few African Hebrew Israelites and I originally met folks here stateside that were associated with Ben Ameen's movement. Not all of them are in Israel, in my case they were in Austin TX. As I grew in my studies and moved around I met more Hebrew Israelites and they were totally different from what I had known.

@@marthaegemo2970 the differences among Hebrews groups is vastly different than the minor differences within christian communities, for instance belief in the trinity or that Jesus was in fact god himself. Vs not believing black people ever ever in slavey, that Africans are inferior to Isrealites(going as far as to talk down on their darker skin, and wider noses, or their association with slavery), and so on.... The issue with Hebrew groups is they don't have a doctrine, each individual person holds their own beliefs of interpretations.

Like that the Vikings were black, the royal famiies of Europe were black, Abraham Lincoln (of all peole) might have been black.
