    Man, did you ever nail this review. I 100% agree with everything you said. I just got back from Japan riding some serious dry and deep pow in the backcountry, and the Dancehaul was a dream… just floating effortlessly in waist deep snow. It’s so reactive and I could relax and let the board do the work. But as you said, on non-powder days you feel every bump and lump. I immediately went back to my hotel to change boards to make for a more enjoyable ride.

      Agree, I have more fun on this board than any board I’ve ever owned. It’s not a super high speed charger but I have another board for that.

    • @Drift-Products

      Can't claim that yet but I can see for sure why a lot of people feel that way. My default is high speed charging so that colors my feelings quite a bit. @@evsportsman5478

    Set your bindings more positive. +9 Rear, + 18 Front. Initiate your turns with your front foot, anf then compress the camber with your rear foot at mid point of the carve and see how this thing comes alive.

  • @evsportsman5478
    @evsportsman5478 Год назад +3

    I mostly agree with this review but I haven’t experienced any real issues with feed back from the board nor did I find it to be catchy at all. Dampness is average for me. It can get a little Bucky in hard uneven snow if you are trying to bomb it but other than that no issues at all and it’s very manageable. Another thing to mention about this board is how well it rides switch. When I bought it I wasn’t expecting it to ride switch anywhere close to as good as it does.

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  Год назад +1

      Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't call it catchy in general, but the camber profile felt a bit more aggressive than what I've experienced from many other similar boards. As for the dampness, I was referencing hard uneven snow same as you mentioned. Maybe it's related to how I spend more time on hard-charging freeride/big mountain type boards but for sure on nasty snow, I felt it in my feet and legs more than anything I can remember riding in the last couple years. that's my experience! Nice call on the switch performance.

    Great reviews! For charging groomers and powder chasing, would you go Highpath over the Dancehaul? Or another Salomon board in their lineup?

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  4 месяца назад +1

      I think you could do either. For me, I like the high path way more than the dancehaul. But in general the dancehaul is a more popular board. I think if you like to go hard, you want to do the Highpath.

    First off, great review, appreciate it. Is this quite a bit softer than a Warpig?
    Also, I found it interesting you liked it as a backcountry questionable/variable condition board. I never would have thought that but it makes sense based on how you described this board. Have you tried a Weston Backwoods? Thats my board for questionable/variable conditions.

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  Год назад

      Sorry, can't speak to the warping. Haven't had a chance to get on any Ride's lately unfortunately. I wouldn't have expected it for variable backcountry either, but it worked out. I have a Japow but that's the only Weston I've been on so far. I've also enjoyed the Aviator 2, the Warca, and the Backslash for variable backcountry.

    Awesome! How would you compare this and the Party Wave+ for Pow and charging / stability overall?

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  Год назад

      The Party Wave + changed shapes for this year and I haven't tried the new one yet, but I'd say the PW is a little better at both but In my experience any board that wide under the back foot has some weird chatter at high speeds unless the snow is really nice.

    • @bugsterkaferrr
      @bugsterkaferrr 11 месяцев назад

      I think the dancehaul is a little bit softer so for charging the PW+ is probably more stable, or look at the dancehaul pro
