Here you can choose one of two ways to make an installation USB flash drive for Windows 10,
and using this flash drive to install Windows 10 on several computers.

@LorenzPlayz - Minecraft & Roblox & MORE In Windows XP, making a bootable USB flash drive for Windows 10 is a little more difficult than it can be done on Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10.
Microsoft no longer supports XP, and if you go to the Microsoft web page on XP to download Windows 10, Microsoft detects that you are logged in with XP and does not allow you to create a bootable USB flash drive using the USB flash drive creation utility.
On XP, you can only download the Windows 10 ISO file, choosing 32-bit or 64-bit, and you can choose the OS language.
Then on XP you can use the program Rufus 2.5 or earlier, the latest versions of Rufus in XP are also not supported, then write this ISO to a USB flash drive, or using another program to a DVD disk.
Therefore, the best option is to make a USB flash drive on a computer or laptop with Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10 - if you have the opportunity ..
If you are going to make a USB flash drive on XP, watch my video tutorial:

which is better, usb, or make a usb from iso? and does it matter if its 32 or 64 bit?
and can you do this if you already have windows installed?
i also have a laptop with a clean drive, is it possible to install windows with a usb flash drive?

      1. I stick to the way to make a bootable flash drive using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, this is the number one way in this video.
      2. If your laptop has more than 4GB of RAM installed, then install 64-bit.
      3. During the installation process, the old Windows is completely removed.

A bootable Windows 10 USB flash drive made using this method from my video is quite suitable for resetting a password.
But you should know that with this flash drive you can only reset the password for the local account as shown in my other video, you cannot reset the Microsoft account password with this flash drive.
Do you know what account you have on the PC,
      local or Microsoft?
      It is important.

So if you currently have Windows, you can create another fully-activated copy for free (just one) on another computer? Can I install a Windows 10 copy right on the USB?

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  3 года назад

If you download Windows from the Microsoft website and install it on your computer, you can use it for free for up to 30 days, if you do not activate Windows, after 30 days the OS will be locked.
When you buy a license to use Windows, the conditions must be indicated there - on how many computers you can install and activate this OS with one product key.
If you bought a computer or laptop with a preinstalled activated Windows, then the product key is registered in the BIOS of this device and you can uninstall Windows there many times and install a new Windows, the OS will be activated automatically. This activation key is called an OEM key.
I didn't quite understand your question whether it is possible to install Windows on a USB storage medium .., but I will answer - there is a way to install Windows on an external USB storage medium.
You connect such a USB to the computer and boot the computer not from the hard drive, but from the USB, Windows works this way slower.

I have a 500gb Seagate Expansion Portable Drive.
If I follow your guidance and treat this as a USB Flash Drive, will I be able to install Windows 10 on my existing Win7 system.
Will be noting down the steps, step by step.
My first step will be to connect this External expansion drive to my pc.
IN this External expansion drive: Download from Microsoft the 'Media creation Tool 21H1, by choosing the option "for another PC".
    After this will shutdown. Then:
Restart and enter Bios set up.
(With my fading memory the first boot is designated to USB)
But still will check and designate to First Boot from USB Device.
(System has only the Keyboard and Mouse on USB) All other external devices are now removed physically.
After assigning First Boot to USB:
    Then: ????
    a) Should Save: Quit: Restart
    And rest follow your guidance.....
    Please.
[So mush pleased and obliged to have found your explicit and illustrated guidance, especially for an old layman here]
    Regards

Forgive me for not being able to answer quickly - I already had a night.
Yes, all of your actions will be correct, but except for one:
You do not need to change the settings in the BIOS to assign a PC boot from the USB drive, do as shown in this video - after restarting the PC, you need to call the Boot menu, select the USB device in this menu and load the PC from the USB device.
Perhaps I did not quite understand you correctly - I use google translate, so I want to clarify what I said.
There are two ways to boot a PC from a USB flash drive:
      1. Call the Boot menu, in this menu select the USB flash drive, press Enter and load the PC from the USB flash drive.
      2. Go to BIOS and put the USB flash drive in the Boot priority in the first place.
If you choose the second method to install Windows on a PC, then after installing Windows 10 files, the PC will reboot, the timecode is 12:01, instead of continuing the installation, it will boot again from the USB flash drive, the timecode is 9:18
and the installation of Windows 10 will start again from the very beginning, and this will be wrong.
I hope you understood me correctly - forgive my bad English :-)

Usually, in the Boot menu, the USB flash drive has a different name than what you see when you open This computer, perhaps this is the reason.

@@Junior-jm3ok Don't worry, I understand your English well.
Your problem is that in your computer's BIOS, the USB device is in the first place in the boot priority and therefore your PC will boot from the USB flash drive again and again.
The solution to the problem is simple - remove the USB flash drive from the computer and turn on the computer, further installation of Windows will continue without the USB flash drive.
