    Casting, not forging.
    It’s hard to get the various internal passages with forging - you cannot use *cores.*

    Wonderful film of your cylinder head manufacturing process, thank you, and I think I just bought one for a 300tdi.
    We used to actually manufacture in the UK long ago, but now even our missiles are a flop ☕

      Unfortunately, this is one of the Chinese products to avoid...
      The castings are of very poor quality with a lot of defects, so the relatively good machining is irrelevant...
      The Chinese are still pushing the philosophy of mass production at the expense of quality control!

      Sand and an adhesive that keeps them together until pouring process

    thats not forging my friend. its casting. I've never seen a head or engine block gets forged.

      Issue is in the gaskets and bolts these tend to be solid which is why many gaskets are made in Mexico or in Pakistan now bolts same or southeastern Asia countries are starting to raise quality standards
