Hey! How dangerously close to the furnace top is the worker charging the furnace is! Has anyone told him that it emits deadly poisnous Carbon Monoxide ? No even a flue over the top, what to talk about precipitators/ scrubbers! What is the chemistry of metal mixture charged and of the melt? Microstructure and Mechanical Properties? Are any vehicles lying there with engines siezed?

NiCaSil coating? Hah! This is far more advanced! The Ca and Si come from all the rocks and sand they casually throw into the furnace. As for the Ni... well, there.must be some trace content in all that scrap :-)
With those inconsistencies of metals being smelted you can bet what ever they choose to make won’t last long! Many years ago a crank shaft was made in India this way for a small British car company. There are at least 5 types of cast iron. There are increased requirements for cast iron, which is used as engine cylinder liners. In accordance with state standards, cylinder liners are made of gray modified or alloyed cast iron with mechanical properties not lower than those of SCh 21-40 cast iron, with a hardness of HB not lower than 170-190. Liners of high-speed engines are heat-treated to a working surface HRC hardness of at least 40. What kind of cast iron is used here?

Dose anyone know what they actually use for there casting sand and what they mix in it plus a rough ratio. The stuff I use over here in the UK the so called green sand that's red is crap. trying to keep the edges from coming out with the part your trying to make a mold of is impossible it just brakes away no matter what I do and how hard its compacted.
для склеивания песка используется патока - отход сахарного производства, там где есть сахарные заводы, её недорого продают для добавки в корм сельхоз животным
It always amazes me to see people doing this. Making molds and castings but I can’t help but wonder what the final product is. I know it’s cast but cast sterl ir cast iron as I see a mix of both going into the furnace along with what I assume is coal for its carbon content being incorporated into the metal. Still fascinating none the less. And they recycle everything possible.
Definitely dangerous work. The bottom of the carry flask for the molten steel looks cracked considerably as it leaks molten metal while they walk and do this work in sandals. Situational awareness is probably very high among those with few to no molten metal burn scars.

Пипец, там металл горит, дымится, а они в шлёпках и голыми руками почти его таскают , я в шоке 😂
Wonder what junk metal they make piston rings out of? Anything they can melt I’m betting.
I bet the metallurgy is spot on!
Probably used in Formula 1 engines.
Thanks ☺️

Судя по количеству гильз, они либо весь мир обеспечивают, либо у них самих это гавно держится пару месяцев и потом на перегильзовку мотор
Судя по тем гильзам которые мне привозит снабженец, всё это идёт к нам в Россию
