@@user-TodayShorts thats not plasma torch lol. And to back it up i actually work in a factory with a cnc cutting machine. It has both plasma and oxygen(+gas) cutting system. But the biggest thing is no plasma cutter can cut that thick, if its mass producing, 30mm at most sometimes 50mm but thats the expection. But that the sheet(forgot the english word) in the video was more than 100mm its not even gonna penetrate it
Everything you see here from the outset of receiving the slabs is steel. Steel is refined from molten Iron, usually by way of the BOS steelmaking process. at the steelmaking department.
Very good video, Except for the forging process that brought back memories of when I was a foreman in a US factory building very large steam turbines. My job was supervising a burn out area, heat treating and eventually a large shaft machining area. I don't miss the dirt, noise heat and 12hr x 6day work weeks
Most people have no idea what goes into making anything. These videos show that you can find just about anything you want/need to know on RUclips. Another well-done vid!
I had no idea a forklift could be operated as precise as that operator was doing! Whatever they are paying him it's not enough. It's as if he was using his hand to do it. Excellent video!!!

Explains why they cost so much, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near that plasma cutter that just cut a 2 foot thick block of steel in half. Dude just grabs it with his hands
Men used to wear dresses all the time. History proves this. It's cute you're afraid of such a thing since you call them man dresses when they're nothing more than a heat robe. You would probably die of heat exhaustion if you wore jeans in those countries. Grow up
At high temperatures, the steel block is as flexible as candy. Just kidding, with support tools and high skills they can successfully complete this job💯
At the point the steel reaches the ability to be formed it has reached a state of plasticity and is considered to be malleable. High temperature furnaces supply the heat to the metal.
4:02 - CC should read "HEAT, it" not "melt it" - when you melt steel (or anything) you end up with a LIQUID. Here they do not melt the steel but just make it hot (and soft).

This guy is forklift CERTIFIED holy crap. What a magician
Absolutely agreed.
The coordination with the press operator was pretty fun to see.
@@mattdobson7598 Coordination, that is the key word during the forging process.
I was thinking the same thing. I bet that sort of lift operator work is very satisfying.
The piece of equipment the operator is working with is called a manipulator and he is a manipulator operator
Man. The forklift operators need some props. Cheers to the forklift operators.
Enough explanations, no music during the video, and no stupid jokes - perfect. Thank you!
Thank you😉👍
exactly. NO MUSIC IN THE VIDEO!!! the processes themselves are the most beautiful music you can find!! (and each time different)
@@fwerf5084 I particularly enjoyed the creaking sounds as the metal was squeezed in the press.
Yeah I agree. I muted the video.
Muchas gracias 🙏🏽
I'm impressed by the forklift driver.

Excellent video, enjoyed it!
Just the first shot of seeing the torch cutting through the metal like butter is pretty amazing.
That's plasma torch. It's easy to cut any thick metal but less sophisticated than laser cutting.
@@user-TodayShorts Это обычный кислородный резак.
Внимательно смотрите.
@@user-TodayShortsThat's no plasma cutting at all. This is an ordinary oxyfuel cutting process.
Now you know what is causing climate change: producing wind turbines.

Great place to work when it is 115 degrees F. outside and 100% humidity.

Wow, what pressure does the gas torch run at that it can cut through steel that thick in one pass??
Not much. It's the heat that does the cutting. Rapid local oxidation of the steel in the cutting path.
