no questions. but, I'm a recent ryzen convert. if it isn't ryzen, it isn't chosen! three laptops with ryzen = all good. previous windoze devices were all celery chips and run like utter garbage by comparison.
Next time you should give Minecraft (Java edition) a go as its a relatively CPU based game and could give a good indicator on how well the CPU works (you can use mod loaders with Sodium and infinite render distance mods to really strain the CPU and show off its power)
If he does, you can install mods easily using Prism launcher, and then you can go to its settings and increase values like ram for maximum performance :P
Seeing the iGPU performance on this, I'm seriously interested at the future models of this miniPC featuring the new AMD Strix Point APU (HX 370) as they are shaping up to be impressive.
I do rather like these mini form pc . This one does look rather impressive. As for the AI I'm "meh" about it. Lol it's not a selling point for me. I am interested in the 32gb ram and 2 terabyte storage. Although having watched the whole video and finding out there is a SD card reader fitted but no slot rather weird. I can think of a few reasons to have one. IE transferring music onto a SD card which I would then use on a separate player ( some audio players have really slow transfer/write speeds. Not naming anyone inparticuler lol). I'm sure there are other reasons for a card reader, cameras, video etc I know you can buy external card readers but why if this has one fitted but inaccessible. I know Microsoft have been doing their best to remove the "Stereo mix" from the sound card for some time now. I did use this fairly often at one point. I do have a small form PC, it's years old lol and the stereo mix is just not available and I couldn't change the driver to realtex which would have given me this function. I am weird, it's a long story lol, but I do take the mini PC on holiday with me. I have a case big enough to hold a monitor, keyboard, mouse etc it take sepate speakers. I set it up and will play lots of music and watch tv/ streaming services. In the Highlands of Scotland tv reception is appalling at best and none existent at worse. Yes I have my phone and tablet but sometimes I just want to sit back and enjoy watching on a big screen. I have plugged the PC into the back of the tv where I stay although they've now got freesat and an Amazon firestick I cam use. Which is way better, but even then I sometimes have to use the Internet to watch tv. It's also were the phone signal is g not even 2g. Lol So back to your video lol. Sadly no pictures or video of the Devine Ms Ripley. Not even a snippet of video editing containing a glimpse of her. Lol The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. All my PC, laptops are Windows 10 so I'm going to be forced to upgrade at some point and something like this for my meager needs is definitely on the cards. Cracking video and throughly enjoyable plus I've learned a few new things. So cheers 😅
I bought the Beelink SER last year and it's been great, Easy to open and clean '' dust '' and I never hear it when the fan starts, AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics 2.10 GHz 16gb ram, I don't game but I do watch tv and youtube with it 90% of the time and always have FB and 2 E-Mail accounts and the weather app and the stock market app open all the time and I never have a problem with speed,
I have a Pixel phone and I finally decided to check out the impressive Google Gemini assistant, and all I've done with it AI-wise is have it generate shitposts. AI is the future boys 😎👍
ok #teamlaptop here since i love having everything in one place but this looks impressive. and it does use good ram and ssd as well, so for the price is fairly good. AI stuff? bruh i basically never used it lol. a little fun fact: an italian youtuber received those geekom mini pc and attempted to build the most little pc by slapping a mini keyboard and a tiny display with duct tape. and it works too.
What can I expect in terms of photo editing ? Like capture one and photoshop ? Will it outperform my laptop with an i71280p and rtx 3050? And will my thunderbolt 3 dock work on it ?
I got a really cheap Ryzen7 Mini-PC (because they forgot to disable the 80€ discount and put the item on sale for 100€ less, so I bought it with 180€ discount). But it has one big problem: If I play games or use the internal AMD graphics-card the MiniPC will definitly lock up after exiting the game. It's guaranteed and I don't know why... Already swapped the SSD, RAM and AC-Adaptor for a more powerfull one. But still crashes after using the iGPU
I would love to get one of these but they are just far too expensive for me now I cant work due to medial problems. It would be good to have a PC that can do most of what I use my PC for but at a lot lower power usage than my desktop but it would be over a year of saving to be able to afford one for me but still the performance is great for the size and I enjoyed this review still :)
For that money you can definitely do better with a gaming desktop, as a side note, id like to play cyberpunk but it's a hybrid FPS game and I'm no good at FPS games, I couldn't even complete the first mission on GTA for that reason so it's not accessible for regular people
Hi, it seems the one you got is black, but the color on the website is purpleish. Do you have any insight as towards what color I'd actually be getting? Thanks
So it's blue on top and the sides are a bit of a gray with a blue tone to it. The lighting in the video probably doesn't help but overall it's grey/blue.
If you don't pay attention to CPU industry news, then it's good to go with AMD right now, Intel is having issues galore and they're really bad. As for AI, I hate it, it's annoying as all hell now.
Currently there is little to zero advantage of having any sort of "AI" accelerators in CPUs. AMD themselves were asked on computex what people are supposed to be doing with the new hardware. AMD had no response other than "LLM". You dont just "do" LLM when your CPU has "AI" AMD...not how it works...
you know another terrible issue with these cheep ass pc's other channels cover is some have malware installed in them i should add you cant delete it because they will be on the drive i also did a poor ass job explaining this its been forever since i watched the videos with this information
@GatoCoder you can if you sign into a burner microsoft account before hand when you are setting up the pc because account is required and the windows 10 or 11 that is on it needs to go by this you can tell I still didn't watch the video not interested in these pc's
You can skip signing into a Microsoft account by choosing "domain" at setup then putting in an email like test@test.com and it will come back with an error and let you continue with a local account. That's what I usually do. As for malware on these I don't think there would be any lingering on there. Geekom is fairly trustworthy but I'm not sure about other companies. If they had pre-installed programs then maybe but i think it's fine.

Yes he keeps it

AI is a buzzword. getting tired of seeing it used everywhere i turn.
Same
Whatever milks money from the consumers :P

Solid review. Happy testing
Great video, you should make one installing something like Pop OS or another linux distro and comparing the performance in certain tasks.
Thanks for doing this mate

Great video as usual . Is there any reason u don't use the frame time stat as can be helpful
I have a Pixel phone and I finally decided to check out the impressive Google Gemini assistant, and all I've done with it AI-wise is have it generate shitposts.
AI is the future boys 😎👍
why it priced similarly to mac mini?
16:69 i was shocked when i saw that style🤣

For that much money, you can get a laptop, and not a bad one.
Any that you recommend?
well you can go with hp victus 15 which comes with a RTX 3050 Z@GatoCoder
where you running doom using vulkan?
I was. It automatically ran under Vulkan.
Pricey, but I'd give it a go for a giveaway or a holiday sale. Love my GEEKOM A5 so far and this looks better
AI as in artificial intelligence, fits in about as well as that artificial turf they use at stadiums.

I have the ax8 pro here at home and had to delete my windows due to an error and can't find any drivers
Hi, it seems the one you got is black, but the color on the website is purpleish. Do you have any insight as towards what color I'd actually be getting? Thanks
It's a light blue. I don't think they have any other colors for it.
@@SMOOREZ Thanks! After watching your video again, it's blue on the top but black on the sides. Their website shows it as all one color. Weird.
So it's blue on top and the sides are a bit of a gray with a blue tone to it. The lighting in the video probably doesn't help but overall it's grey/blue.

How is video editing on it?
well done, specially at the begining as less interest in games, thank you
Finally good thermal paste xD
Naw, gonna wait for the The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 miniPCs that will come out later this year.
it’ll probably be next year to be optimistic. These hx370 chips will go to the high-margin laptop market before mini pc oems eventually get them
Tech having AI: STOP!
Smoorez video idea: revoew rhe motorola g22
I'd rather get something with an actual graphics card for 899
Mini PC and TechImma1st
Don't take my comments seriously. It's only a meme
i don't even care about AI, if i got a galaxy z fold or flip 6 it wouldn't be cuz of AI. Im just saying, in 6 years AI will be obsolete
comment for the algorithm
I’m bored with everything new having ai
Doesn't seem too bad of a PC. I'm not a fan of Doom by the way, so I usually just skip the music section.
