Gl addressing the dissociation etc. without beginning to live as your true/authentic/passionate self. Tough stuff to do. And if you do that, at least hypothetically then you'll address a lot of other zoid issues as well at the same time. Will love to hear how you go about it whichever method you use. Will look at rest of channel if already posted as this vid is old. I bet you had a hard time with the mcdonalds social script also because you were depressed but didn't want to just go there. And yeah, there is an outright biological and unconscious need for connection that screws zoids over if we don't go get some even though we lack the natural drive to go get it. Appreciate your updates, need to get my channel up n runnin
Im just here for the ants. ;) I think if you took the ant footage and put your schizoid updates (or any life updates) as a voice over the top of them it would be top tier interesting!! :D These type of videos are really good to put on in the background and just listen to while folding the laundry or something so putting the ant footage on top of them would make it really relaxing and cool imo! Anyway loved the update! :)
There actually was one ant video a while back where halfway through I start talking vlog-style. Sometimes it's fun to hide things inside videos that most people wouldn't think to watch XD
I think a big part of why people are interested in the schizoid related videos is because it's a fairly niche topic that isn't covered very often by the people diagnosed with it. The few that do make these kind of videos disappear after a while meaning that inside perspective isn't regularly available. Regardless of whether or not people actually have the disorder, there are probably a decent amount of people who suspect that they might. But the nature of the disorder means that they'd likely never want to seek out therapy anyway, so videos like this are the only insight they can get. Obviously, make the content that you want to make, no use going on about a topic that doesn't interest you much. Probably one of the reasons why other schizoid RUclipsrs don't stick around very long. After a while, there's not much else to say. At any rate, found what you said about social scripts and your throat not being able to make sense of words after a while of isolation fairly relatable.
Hey thanks, this is actually really good feedback. And yeah I've definitely noticed that about the disappearing schizoid RUclipsrs. Kinda makes me feel more pressure tbh 😅 but either way, I'm still making videos on the topic since I vlog about my life and schizoid is naturally a part of that, and I can't pretend otherwise. What I meant is I'm just gonna stop with the x months later, x years later sorta thing. I'll just make the videos when I have something to say, noticed something new, etc. Not always going to label it in my video titles though, I guess I still haven't really adjusted to the unexpected attention so I tend to flop between being a Good RUclipsr™ and intentional self-sabotage lol, and some vlogs mix too many topics to say "this is a specifically schizoid video" like that anyway. Staying true to my chaos I guess! XD
@@DestroyerMariko I don't think I'd like to experience the same level of attention you're getting from these videos, so you seem to be adjusting pretty well to me. Cheers.
I think it helps that I experience it a bit like playing a video game lol. Eg. I made a vlog a while back about responding to comments feeling like completing quests (ruclips.net/video/Xohj4k8decY/видео.html). I think actually the part that bothers me more than the attention is when people I know IRL tell me they watch. Harder to think of it as a video game when it mixes with offline social things.
Often times, it will be the covert varieties that will be breaking new content. It would be nice to have more of the overt varieties with a more of a presence, but it's probably a bit much to ask (at least in any kind of direct way).
Schizophrenic delusions are really bizarre. One of mine was believing that someone I knew online comited suicide in high school and was now living in hell (which is in a black hole) with other demons there trapped in the internet. I thought at times that people online were communicating from hell.
True. I also have schizophrenia, and i used to believe that people online were communicating with me (the people in the videos) and that they were reading my mind and stuff.
@@wobina Wow 😅 I was not expecting this club at all haha! Gotta admit though, yours reminds me of when I was a kid, being mildly paranoid that people might be able to read my mind. I was so damn relieved when I discovered that it's not a real thing! Obviously it wasn't really a delusion, but lol I can kinda relate?
@@DestroyerMariko What I`m saying is, there is a bigger World out there and it does`nt revolve around you or your feelings. (Or any of us for that matter) Try changing your focus instead. You will be happier.
Being diagnosed is awesome because it allows you to never take responsibility! How awesome is that? Also it confirms that I'm special and everyone else is boring. Currently I have every trending diagnosis there is 😁
I mean I know you're trolling, but I actually did make the point that finally getting diagnosed may have given me too much excuse to be less social and probably did set back some of my progress in terms of engaging with the world etc. I've also suggested in the past that not knowing my condition may be partly why I'm good at masking, because I never had anyone tell me I'm stuck how I am, and so I kept trying to get better because I thought my problem was just depression and most people do get over that. Had I been diagnosed young, maybe I _would_ have just been how you suggest. I've certainly had comments from people who sound like they've given up. As for people being boring... that _is_ kinda what this disorder makes you think, so I was already there a couple decades before I ever got diagnosed lol. I disagree that a diagnosis should make anyone feel special though. The thing about diagnostic labels is that enough people have already had that disorder that the psych world has gone "ooh, a pattern" and then created the diagnostic criteria as a result. If you fit a diagnosis, it means you're able to be put in that box with a bunch of other people, which means you are not as unique as you thought you were. The large-ego part of me is actually a little bit disappointed to have been diagnosed lol, was kinda hoping to get my own one named after me 😉 I sure don't understand the kids these days putting all their diagnoses in their bios, I guess they think it makes them part of some weird club but I grew up back when the trend was "YOU CAN'T LABEL ME!!" lol. As a side note... _is_ schizoid trending? That'd absolutely blow me away if it was. It's honestly such a boring disorder as far as things go. I thought Tourette's was the one in vogue, or have they finally moved on from that? Closest I've ever heard to something like schizoid getting attention is the whole hikikomori thing in Japan. Anyway so I think you probably wrote your comment criticising me without realising I actually agree with most of what you think about current Western youth culture. You likely didn't watch the video, and also don't know I'm juuuust old enough to be their mother! And while I get your general position, I think the way you're commenting is idiotic. If you blanket criticise everyone who mentions mental health diagnoses etc, you're going to catch legit people alongside the trenders and make yourself look silly indeed. Diagnoses don't exist for fun, the point of them is to help understand what someone's going through and hopefully find the right treatment for them. It also gives researchers some consistent criteria to work with and compare results across different studies. To dismiss diagnoses the way you apparently have is to be the opposite extreme of the kids treating them like Pokémon gym badges. You're both being dumb about this, just in different ways. tl;dr - Basically I agree with you, but you picked the wrong target this time, mate. Realizing what you're dealing with is a big step. It would be nice to solve the issue, but, of course, I know of no cure at this time.
Yeah I dunno about a cure, but I can think of things that would improve my life at least... like winning the lotto and being able to move out 😭
@@DestroyerMariko Moving out can be a big step. You always want to try and minimize any stress in your living conditions, if you are able to.
Exactly yeah. Unfortunately with the current money I have and in this economy, moving out would probably mean living on the streets x_x
