    Finally!!! A tomtoc 28L review!! The 40L is extremely popular but I was always fascinated about the smaller one! Thank you for your video! It was great and informative.

      Exactly, I was looking for a review of the 28L everywhere and only got some insight on Reddit. Glad I could find this video. Just ordered one of these!

    Hey dude I actually took a 2 month trip to Europe a lot of planes trains etc. I have the 40 version one plus a carry on luggage and it worked like a charm they didn’t charge me anything it’s a great backpack I had it for a year now I love it. I’m also a film photographer as well.

      That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear it’s holding up. We’ll be taking it to Amsterdam in a couple days, so I’m really excited to see how it does. 😊

    The Tomtoc Navigator 40L was one of my options before but I thought it was too bulky. So I decided to get the Aer City Pack pro 24L which worked almost perfectly. But after using it for a couple of trips, I think a little more room for other items would be perfect. Now that there is a 28L version of of this tomtoc bag, I think I'll get one. Do you think 4L makes a huge difference? Thanks man!

      @TheSpareTechRoom  3 месяца назад +1

      I haven’t tried the Aer city pack, but I can definitely tell you that the 28L Tomtoc is plenty big enough for me. I was able to pack everything I need for a long weekend away. I’ll do a full follow-up review video, not that I’ve been able to put it through its paces. But, spoilers for that upcoming video, I love it. 😂

    Hi :)
    Thanks for the video...
    I'm considering buying this bag or the Osprey Daylite 26+6, to replace my peak design 45l travel backpack.
    Have you already made your trip to Amsterdam with this bag?
    What are your thoughts after traveling with it?
    Looking forward watching your after-trip review video.

      Hi! Thanks for your comment. So far, the bag has gone on a weekend trip to Amsterdam, and a two week trip to Ireland and The UK. I'll provide more details in my follow-up review, but I can confidently say it is absolutely worth the money, in my opinion.

    Can the water bottle slots fit a pair of shoes or slippers?

      Hi there! So, I just tested this out, and you can fit a pair of slippers (depending on how large), but I couldn't get a pair of shoes in there. :)

    Hi, how does this 28l compare to the 40l?

    • @TheSpareTechRoom
      @TheSpareTechRoom  2 месяца назад

      The 40L is noticeably bigger, maybe too big for everyday use. It would definitely be too big for using as a personal item on a flight, but should fit the dimensions for carry-on luggage. I prefer a rolling carry-on with a 28L backpack as my personal item though.

    Should take a look at the Aer Travel Pack 3 small, different end of the price spectrum as Aer’s features some very premium materials, but they share a similar design, size and footprint and would love to see what your opinion on the $150 price gap is

    • @TheSpareTechRoom
      @TheSpareTechRoom  3 месяца назад +1

      The Aer pack definitely looks nice, but yeah. There’s a pretty big gap in price. Maybe if this channel gets big enough, we can get them to send me one to test out. 😂

      @@TheSpareTechRoomHi Tony, thank you for reviewing the 28L version of this bag. Unfortunately the 28L is not available here in Malaysia, it shows Sold Out on Tomtoc Malaysia website. it's available through Amazon.
      2 weekends ago, I one bag travel with the Evergoods CTB26, which is also on the different end of the price spectrum for 2 days in Indonesia. The bag was packed to the brim, I need to bring over some clothes and other stuff for my girl. I flew in a budget airline AirAsia and to my surprise the bag fits under the seat, it was a bit snug. The overhead compartments were full so it was all good. On my return back home, the bag was 70% full, so it was even easier to fit under the seat.
      The laptop compartment of the CTB26 can fit up to a 16 inch laptop.
      Technically the CTB26 packs like a 28L bag with the 2 water bottle holders and it is very fun to travel with this bag. Just like anything in life, your mileage may vary.
      Sidenote: I bought the CTB26 in a well used condition at a very good price which I'm willing to spend from the secondary market.
      For personal item, the volume capacity depending on the bag model is between 20-28L and more importantly is the bag dimensions. Some airlines are more strict than the others and its also depending whose working on the day of your departure.

    I (sort of) wish that it had a waist/hip support belt

    • @TheSpareTechRoom
      @TheSpareTechRoom  3 месяца назад

      After wearing it around with a full load, I didn’t find myself wanting for a waist strap. I think the 40L version would definitely need one though. This is about as big as I’d go without one, but I know thats just a matter of preference. 😊
