    Omg, yes! Please pack these out! I’m in the market for a travel backpack and I’m genuinely curious to see these types of packs packed out to help me decide what pack to invest in.
    Thank you for making content like this - it is so informational, useful, and overall very well done!

    Thank you for comparing these! It's great seeing them side by side. I sent back the Tomtoc because I thought it was too big for me, and I almost bought the Mini MLC too. I know now it will also be too big. I'll probably get the 28L Tomtoc.

      I'll have to try out the smaller one, seems like a good option

    Would love the tomtoc if the water bottle holders were better. Total dealbreaker. This is an excellent comparison, thank you.

      True, great pack but waterbottle is lacking

    Great review, the MLC ability to tuck away the shoulder and waist straps helps out if you put it under the seat especially in an aisle seat.You don’t want a strap sticking out as long as you don’t over pack it.this is a nice feature when boarding last and the top storage is full.The four rings are great with elastic Velcro straps for a jacket,small duffel,or sling bag while walking through the airport.

    Hard choices. Love Patagonia's environmental and labor ethics and practices. While Tomtoc is a good value. I will get one in near future for my upcoming domestic and international trips.

    Haven't seen one of your reviews in my feed for a while.This one makes me remember how good you are. And the two products are spot-on for me, I have them both but have only used my Paty MLC once - I hate it's wasteful laptop slot where a normal sized laptop just spends the trip sliding from one end of the bag to the other. I can pack as much in the Tomtoc as in the Paty, and the laptop stays in place plus, yes, that kangaroo pouch tablet slot helps too. THANKS

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  Месяц назад +1

      The algorithm is failing me! 😆 Thanks for watching though. I can see that about the MLC, the laptop sleeve is a little large and can't be used for much else so it's kind of a waste if you're not carrying a laptop.

    Thanks for the great work, as always! BTW while I considered the ULA Dragonfly for personal item under the seat bag, I went with the GoRuck Bullet Double Compartment instead and am so pleased with it. It's much cheaper than the other Go Ruck bags. Perhaps you can review it one day?

    i would love to see a review for the gregory border traveler 30! haven't seen it talked about much and I'm debating between that bag and the thule aion bag so hoping to make a decision between the two. thank you for your videos, i ran through them all and they are extremely helpful!

    Great comparison, both great bags! I got the Navigator from Tomtoc way before any of western made reviews where made on youtube. I found it by accident. I was looking for a backpack like this in form and packing style, that was especially lightweight so I do not lose packing capacity in terms of weight. Reason is I need it for travelling by airplane, so weight definitely is an issue.
    Though I typically do not really like the patagonia bags because of their big and big, sometimes flashy branding, this bag really stands out. I love how this one has more organisation while still keeping it simple enough. Also the box-like shape is very nice. And the colour of this particular one looks amazing. The price is definitely ok for it.
    I think both are great and no matter which one you take you will be happy. :)
    PS: Tomtoc has some reaaally great slingbags. I think they are maybe a little more thought-out than the navigator. Definitely worth a look.

      Interesting, even though they started in the US (at least their headquarters is here now), they became popular overseas first before catching on here? I'll check out the sling bags, thanks!

    Great review, as always. What do you think of the new self scan airport security proposed?

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  3 месяца назад +5

      If it's faster and easier than the current system I'd like it. I'm sitting in SFO right now and security wasn't bad, but some airports need it more than others. I'm curious to see how the trials go.

      @@OneBagTravels An idea for your channel could be also talking about the 'travel' aspect, as you've already covered the 'one bag' part pretty comprehensively. I, for one, would be interested in hearing your tips and stories.

    looking at it from a volume versus weight ratio, there's alot more volume in the tomtoc for only a few extra grams... wouldn't have thunk it.

      Chec out this table, you can sort by laptop compartment style, size, etc. Should help you narrow it down.

    what MLC means?

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  3 месяца назад +2

      MLC stands for "Maximum Leagal Carry" or "Maximum Legal Carryon." That used to be what they called it in the original MLC bag years ago, now it's a mini-maximum, which doesn't really make sense, so I think they just call it the "MLC" and don't explain what it stands for.
