Good review. I purchased this 28L bag as a personal item before my trip to Hawaii and Australia. It worked perfectly for the month-long trip. I would agree that the lack of solid internal organization could use some improving, but it’s a great budget bag that is under 18x14x9, meeting the majority of carryon requirements in the US and internationally (yes, except for EU budget lines, but it does meet Spirit’s)!
I have this and have used it as a personal item on several trips. There is a lot to like about this bag (comfort being my favorite part) and I would definitely recommend it, especially at the price. However, I would love to see some improvements for a V2. A few small improvements will go a long way to making a great bag even better.
Thanks so much! I hope I answered any questions you had about it. If there's anything else you want me to check, or other bags you'd like me to compare it to, definitely let me know.
Thanks for the recommendation! It looks like the T73 is set up for more of an EDC, but I'll see if I can get one to review. There's definitely a BIG difference in price.
It really depends on how much you bring around with you every day. I might find it a bit large for my usual edc, but if you’re bringing a few extra things (maybe a change of clothes for the gym), I think this would be a good bag.
It is NOT the perfect size for personal item. love the review, also like the bag. BUT... it will not go as a personal item ( free luggage ) on any low cost carriers in the eu. Neither ryan, whizz, nextjet and so have the hight limit set at 40cm, rougly 16 inches. Seeing how this little bugger seems pretty non squishable, you are probably gonna get screwed, trying to get it in the sizer.. To bad... i really wanted this bag, for the top-pocket feature, which cabinzero's 28l ( military and regular ) doesn't have. That said... your review was good, LOVE the audio... not sure what it is, but i do appriciate some good quality sound ! =)
Finally! Someone shared a real world experience using the 28L version of this backpack. Thanks!
I’m glad I could help. 😊 Please let me know if you have any questions, or if there’s anything else you’d like me to review or compare to this bag.

I’m glad it worked out for you! How was Hawaii?? I’ve always wanted to get over there, but it’s just so far from Florida. lol

Tomtoc really is good value! I'd like to see a 22-24 Daypack version in X-pac!
Oh, that would be really nice! I’ll keep an eye out for anything like that, so I can review it here. 😊
Can you do a comparison video of this vs tje TechPack-T73 X-Pac?
They are similar in size but different in price tags.

I took it on Allegiant (low budget) no problem! But maybe I just lucked out or didn’t overstuff? It was for a 3 day trip. 🤷🏻♀️
Ah, I see you meant specifically EU.
