Yes, yes yes 😊, this practice is also fabulous, so grounding, and so energising for the higher chakras too, I just cant wait to get out of this lockdown and express this through myself in a more worldly way. Your videos here are phenomenal Andrew, you're gifted with a beautiful talent🙏 Thank you
I have been trying to find an authentic Muladhara yoga practice for a while now, and this is a blessing! it was so beautifully and respectfully explained, thank you! I also did your guided Savasana after and had one of the most euphoric experiences. Hi, thank you. I loved this. I almost couldn't believe my ears when you were talking about yin and yang: I am studying to become yin yoga teacher now so I' ve been thinking alot about yin and yang postures and talking it in class!! And congratulations to your moving to Canada!💫💖🙌💫
Beautiful Erika! Yes, understanding the Yin and Yang aspects is one of the keys to learning how to go deeper with your practice. The simplest physical example of Yin and Yang is working with the opposing nervous systems. Balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic, or the heating and cooling systems in the body brings us to a great state of relaxation and awakened awareness. From here this translates into balance across all the different levels. But this is the beauty of Asana! To balance the physical and bring the entire being into harmony💖 And thank you! It was a hectic journey to get here but we've been enjoying the transition. And today we are finally free from our quarantine! 😍🙏💕🤗
Thank you alot for a class!!!! in Virasana i felt alot of energy, crazy. at one moment i start to feel angry, was wanted stand up and jump.... or do some action, all energy i feel its was just in muladhara chakra.
Awesome! I also find Virasana to be a super powerful pose! And this experience you describe sounds like a great example of an energetic purification taking place. I'm very happy that you enjoyed and had such an experience 😍
Just finished doing this beautiful practice and saw you guys just reached 30k! Hope you get 300k more! I have been doing a video every day since i discovered your channel. Have experienced a big shift in feeling more connected to myself and the world 😍 so thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤

please! explain the move you did at 40:02, I've been meditating hard for hours now and nothing is happening. All your moves are cool, but this hovercraft move is the best yet. Thank you for any help with this.
😂 I am assuming you're referring to a video transition between clips? Quite often in Thailand I would have to make cuts because of background noise or other factors. This sort of transition would be the result of me cutting out the error. No Yogi magic here 😉
Amazing! I'm so glad you took up my suggestion to do this practice 💞 As for what to do next, I do have a full series of Chakra Initiations, it's a very powerful and transformative journey that's available to our Refeel Yogi+ Membership, here and on Patreon - www.patreon.com/refeelyoga I do highly recommend it to everyone who's looking to create greater balance and harmony through their whole being. However, if you want to experience some more great classes before signing up to our membership I would also recommend these classes to you: For grounding and body connection: Pawanamuktasana Series: ruclips.net/video/sAoeAPRW9sU/видео.html For emotional release: How to Feel Happy: ruclips.net/video/EMaYQ31Elr8/видео.html For another taste of working with Chakras: The Path to Awakening: ruclips.net/video/5QPafiLNlkY/видео.html They're all quite different so let me know which one you resonate most with 🙏💖
@@RefeelYoga Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to send me all of this. I will try these and let you know what resonates, for sure 🤍✨ I will also consider your class once I do. I truly feel your balanced energy and a calm strength. Recognizing and feeling this just helps me affirm I am on the right path and meant to find your channel and this practice. I look forward to my vibe matching yours and I feel I’m on my way. Much L🤍VE!! ✨
I enjoy this practice a lot, especially that seated "pyramid" posture, so powerful and grounding. Andrew, sorry to ask here and that it's unrelated to this above class: I am trying to retrieve one of your past Kundalini yoga classes which was exclusively focusing on all the joints in the body 1 by 1, from feet to head. I remember you mentioned it was a lesser-known sequence from Yogi Bajhan, unfortunately, I can't retrieve it despite trying several combinations of keywords. I have practiced it several month ago and it was incredibly beneficial to me, I'd like to practice it again. I hope my description is clear enough and you might help me find it! Thank you as usual for the amazing content.
Hey Audrey! I'm glad you liked it! Muladhara is one of my favorite Chakras to work with - especially to balance the dynamic practices of kriya like in Yogi Bhajan's style ;) I believe you are referring to the Pawanamuktasana Series. It's actually one of the sequences from Shivananda, so this may be why you have been struggling to find it. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/sAoeAPRW9sU/видео.html If this was not the video you are looking for, let me know. And no worries! You're always free to ask any questions you like! I'm very happy to hear from you and to help however I can.
@@RefeelYoga excellent!! YES!! This is the one I was so badly looking for! this was a fantastic practice for me. I slept like never before after I did it the first time.
Yes, we have a full initiation class for each Chakra, available to all of our members. If you would like to access them, you can join here: ruclips.net/channel/UCke6U7fZkPX5eAP5P8tb_AAjoin
Thanks for this Andrew- your explanation is always a learning experience for me and this same knowledge, I also share with my students. By the way, I noticed that you started the asana on the left side (Tha) - I wonder why? Well, traditionally, we start from the right side esp when doing Hatha -- except for some asana like the moon salutation sequence. I'm really interested. Hope also I can work with you more in this kind of practice as my brand of yoga is really more focused on the energy work. Thanks and hope to hear from you! Congratulations again. Hari Aum
I'm glad you enjoyed this class! And I look forward to hearing about your experiences with the rest of the Chakra Initiations! As for starting left or right, in my experience, the tradition teaches to always start with the left/yin/receptive side to calm and introvert the mind and bring in the energy of the Chakra/Element before moving to the right/yang/emissive side and moving the energy throughout the body. I find more modern Vinyasa style classes usually do the opposite, and I can only assume it's because the practice is more dynamic, or the students are more active or physically oriented, so it can be more difficult to introvert the mind. In the end I wouldn't say either is more or less correct, just a matter of preference, experience or habit 🙏💕
Thank you Jennifer. Glad you're enjoying so many of the practices. Similar to your last question, for me there is no difference between Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. They are the same. Just the understanding has been lost along the way. It's a Kundalini class in that we're working with the energy and tapping into a specific state of consciousness. But it is not specifically intended to awaken Kundalini. So you could call it Hatha. But these are both umbrella terms that encompass eachother. To go further to the source we could call this a Tantra class because the teachings are coming from Tantra and this term embodies Hatha, Kundalini and much much more
I know what you mean 😔 unfortunately these days many 'hatha yoga' classes are essentially just gymnastic exercises focused on the physical body. It's the turning of the senses inward, developing awareness of the subtle bodies and the sustained concentration/meditation throughout the practice that can truly lead one to a state of Yoga
Thank for the videos and the exercises which you are showing us! I am new to Kundalini and recently started to do some of the exercises, some of them are quite challenging if I am honest but I feel that it has some effect to my state of mind overall ! Thank you! NAMASTE!
Hi! Great class! Just doing some of your classes the last few days and love them. Is it OK to do this class and the raise your vibration class before sleeping? I want to keep doing them but mornings are sometimes tricky. Is it advised/good to do the classes before sleeping? Thanks for the class. Just subscribed:)
Hey Debbie, thanks for your questions. I'm glad you're enjoying the classes. And combining this Muladhara class with the raise your vibration is a great combination! Super powerful and grounding at the same time. Good job! As for doing them before bed, it shouldn't be an issue. But of course it will depend on you and your personal experiences. Some people may find Uddiyana Bandha too stimulating before bed, whereas some may find that it releives the pressures of the day and makes sleep come easier and deeper. Only way to know for sure is to practice for yourself. However you may find that by doing these two practices together, you require less sleep. So don't be worried if you start waking up earlier. So long as you feel rested and vital you can start your day. If you do have trouble sleeping or wake up early and feel like, 'what should I do?', I recommend you to do some gentle meditation. Observing the breath or doing the So Ham 'Relaxing Mantra Meditation' are great options 👌 Hope this helps! Thanks again for sharing. Please keep me updated on how it goes for you 🙏🏼💕
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed :) The picture at the very top is of Shiva and Parvati. There are many symbols within this photo, far too many for me to grasp them all haha! - Hinduism is rich with beautiful symbology! For me this photo depicts polarity and union of the masculine and feminine. The divine couple. The play of opposing energies which create and destroy all of manifestation.
Hi Andrew. It's Georgiann. Can you tell me the metronome app you use? Also, what is the tempo/beat per minute you're using for this sama vritti pranayama? Thanks so much. Love this practice!
Hey Georgiann! I'm glad you're enjoying this practice. Since you guys are members, you have access to the extended version in the "Members Only" playlist, or in the "Chakra Initiations" playlist too! It's mostly the same but includes some very powerful music mediation at the end to really help go into the Muladhara consciousness. I recommend you to give it a try! As for the app, it's actually quite difficult to find a metronome and time combined! (great idea for any app creators out there!) On my old phone I have a great one simply called "metronome timer" but can no longer find it on the play store (fyi, I use Android). On my current phone I use a app called "metronome beats", a green square logo with a silver metronome arm inside. It's not as easy to set the time but you can set a timer within by clicking on the little hourglass icon. For Sama Vritti I usually use 40BPM, to go more deep/grounded/meditative, but for all other pranayama I use 60 BPM
@@RefeelYoga thanks for your response, Andrew. Very helpful. We actually did do the members class, but I went back to ask the question and wound up on the wrong class. 🙃 Yes, the music meditation was very powerful. I'll look for the metronome you mention. I have a free one from imusic that I found, not even an app, but the beats get uneven as the time goes on. A little annoying. Thanks again. Looking forward to the New Year 10 Day Challenge!
The path is unique for everyone, so many karmic factors play in to how long each of us takes to reach different levels. However, I can tell you with confidence, your Muladhara is already active. You may just not be aware of it. It might need some purification, cleansing or balancing. But it is definitely active already. Doing this practice regularly will help you to realize what the energy, emotions and consciousness of Muladhara actually is. It will balance and energize along the way and one day you may look back and realize you have completely removed all fears, worries and anxieties from your life. Maybe you realize you have so much vitality and you actually use your energy to create and manifest in this life. Maybe you have the highest realization of true abundance. That this life is a gift which flows effortlessly and there is no longer any effort to survive. These are some of the qualities that manifest as Muladhara Chakra purifies. But it is active all along the path.
I did this workout in the evening nd thanks to it..I had a hard problem sleeping in night...after completing this workout my whole body was vibrating ...those sensations were lil bit uncomfortable...So Andrew what is the point of doin this muladhar initiation workout ?? What kind of benefits can I gain by doing this?
First of all, this class is definitely not a workout. It is a very specific combination of practices for stimulating Muladhara Chakra. Muladhara is our center of vitality, grounding, inner strength and emotional stability. The benefits of working with this center are many, including increased energy, increased stamina, energetic balance, mental stability, improved connection with the physical body, a sense of belonging in life, feelings of safety and security, reduced fear and anxiety, regulated sleep and wake cycle, and increased sexual potency. It is not uncommon while working to develop this energy that any of these aspects may be affected. I am not surprised that you were vibrating and had trouble sleeping. This is a wonderful sign that you went very deep into the energy. And even though it may not be the most comfortable experience, it is powerful evidence of expanding your inner battery and increasing your vital energy 💞
Yes! Working with the Chakras in this way is foundational to Traditional Kundalini Yoga practices. This is not the same as "Kundalini Yoga" as taught by Yogi Bhajan. They are different systems. Both great, but slightly different intentions and methods. In my opinion, this type of deep work with the Chakras is the most transformational and beneficial way to practice Yoga that I have encountered.
@@RefeelYoga awesome thank you so much, I am going to sign up tonight. Do u have a beginners program I can follow? I was thinking of starting with root chakra initiation
@@999Indra so somehow these Chakra Initiations are very advanced yoga classes, but they are also completely accessible to the beginner. We don't believe that advanced yoga means complex contortion or difficult postures like handstands and arm balances. But rather that advanced yoga means bringing greater presence to the practice and shifting the awareness from gross to more subtle sensations. So even as a beginner these classes will be completely accessible. The challenge, or how you will notice your improvement, will be first becoming aware of the physical posture of the body, then noticing how it is effecting your energy, you emotions, your mind and so on until you truly understand how each moment of the class is altering your state of consciousness. This is advanced! So take it where you are! Anyway through each initiation I will guide you subtly into each layer of your being. I really hope you enjoy the process and I look forward to hearing about your journey
Andrew I’m a 76 year old woman who used to be active in tantric kriya yoga. Right now my knees need care. I wont do some of the postures because of the pressure they would put on my knees. Right now I’m actively doing the muladhara, spinal, and would like to include the three lower chakra series as well. I cant make out the name of your website. Please address these concerns and give me the name of your website because I’d like to join there as well. Thanks.
Hello Gayle, thank you for writing to us. I feel for you. There was a moment when I first started with yoga, I pushed myself too hard, injured my knees and couldn't walk for two months. So it's definitely important to take care! I do appologize for any misunderstanding but I am uncertain what, specifically, you are requesting. If you can please calrify I will be happy to help however I can 😊 As for our personal website, it's a bit outdated at the moment. However, I have a feeling you are wishing to join us on Patreon, where you can offer support and gain access to exclusive and advanced practices. The address for our Patreon page is www.patreon.com/refeelyoga If this is your desire, thank you so much! If you do wish to visit our personal website the address is www.refeelyoga.com Please follow up to let me know if there is any other help we can offer 🙏🏼💕
@@RefeelYoga I'd like for you to modify the lower three chakra postures that sit on the shins. I assume I can be in the mountain pose but maybe sitting in a chair or standing up would be better. Yes. I was looking for the www.patreon.com/refeelyoga address. It's not clear to me when you talk about it or when I see it in the various series. Maybe put it somewhere else so people can make it out more. I find you and your work very special and just what I need right now. I'll check the patreon website out today. Take care and thank you very much for responding so quickly. Is there a way a can support you and your organization? You have a youtube on the lower three chakras, that's the one I'm requesting modifications on.
Dear Gayle, Thank you, I understand better now! In place of the kneeling positions you can take any other posture that is stimulating the required Chakra and it will still provide you similar results. For example for Muladhara you can do Paschimottanasana (the seated forward fold), for Svadhistana you can do Sukasana (the easy pose) and for Manipura you can sit in Svastikasana. Also thank you for your advice, I will try to make it more clear when I discuss our Patreon account :) In terms of ways you can support us, we currently have two options available. Patreon is a crowdfunding website where people can contribute monthly donations to us. We currently have options to donate $3, $5, $10 and $50 per month. Each options comes with a different set of rewards, such as accessing exclusive content, advanced practices and even receiving personal guidance from one of us. The other option, for those prefer not to commit to a monthly contribution, is we are accepting donations via PayPal (sent to refeelyoga@gmail.com). This way you are free to send whatever you feel comfortable with, with no commitment or expectations. There is also a bit of a benefit for us through PayPal because we have less fees to pay ;) I am very happy you are enjoying the practices so much that you wish to support us. Thank you so much. We take it as a huge compliment and feel very motivated and inspired 💝
@@RefeelYoga Okay I'll go thru paypal. I understand I did crowdfunding too. I'm wondering if it is still up. I can't recall the name but if I remember I'll post you because I think you and yours will enjoy it.
Yes, please do! Thank you so much Gayle 🙏💕 If you want to keep in contact more easily, or would like any further guidence, feel free to e-mail us at Refeelyoga@gmail.com
Different lineages use different names. If you read various translations of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika you will find all sorts of confusion within the nomenclature. It's not so important. But yes, you are correct, if you follow Krishnamacharya and Iyengar's names, you will find this pose, combined with the arms clasped behind the back, as Gomukasana. And Virasana will be a kneeling pose, sitting between the heels.
Yes. There may be a situation where you experience some energetic purification which can lead to restlessness or lethargy. But this will likely be only in the beginning. So if one time it happens that you find it difficult to sleep after, do not expect that to be every time. This class should be very balancing, grounding and recharging. Maybe you will need to sleep less after it. But yes, you can do this class whenever 💖
Oh no! That's terrible! There should never be any ads in our videos during the practices. And now you're the second person to tell me that there was an ad during their practice 😔 Can you please tell me at which point you were interrupted? I need to write to RUclips administration to tell them something is going wrong 🙏
@@RefeelYoga Sorry to hear, if that is not meant from your side. Maybe you can change the settings. I will look into your practice a bit further on as I thought your start of it was interesting and good and would really like to do the class but I just can't when getting so annoyed with the interruptions.
@@annasternfeldt6031Yeah it's really too bad! I never want to interrupt anyone with ads during the practice. We only ever put a maximum of 1 ad, after the class intro and before the practice begins. But someone else commented yesterday that they were interrupted in a practice, so i wonder if there is some glitch in the system right now. I'm so sorry to hear that you were disturbed! I hope it will get fixed very soon.
No, I am very well. Thank you for your concern! I had to play with the sound a bit to reduce the high pitch of the Cicada. Sorry for the lower quality sound in this one. Maybe in the future I will redo it. But for now I feel it's an important practice to get out there.

Muladhara is one of my favorite Chakras to work with - especially to balance the dynamic practices of kriya like in Yogi Bhajan's style ;)
I believe you are referring to the Pawanamuktasana Series. It's actually one of the sequences from Shivananda, so this may be why you have been struggling to find it. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/sAoeAPRW9sU/видео.html
If this was not the video you are looking for, let me know.
And no worries! You're always free to ask any questions you like! I'm very happy to hear from you and to help however I can.

Fab Andrew. Loved it! Was this based on Hatha teachings or Kundalini?
Thank you Jennifer. Glad you're enjoying so many of the practices.
Similar to your last question, for me there is no difference between Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. They are the same. Just the understanding has been lost along the way. It's a Kundalini class in that we're working with the energy and tapping into a specific state of consciousness. But it is not specifically intended to awaken Kundalini. So you could call it Hatha. But these are both umbrella terms that encompass eachother.
To go further to the source we could call this a Tantra class because the teachings are coming from Tantra and this term embodies Hatha, Kundalini and much much more
Refeel Yoga thanks Andrew.
For me when I have done hatha I haven’t felt or
Experienced the magic as I do with kundalini.
Observing the breath or doing the So Ham 'Relaxing Mantra Meditation' are great options 👌
Hope this helps!
Thanks again for sharing. Please keep me updated on how it goes for you 🙏🏼💕

hello, thank you for the class
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed :)
The picture at the very top is of Shiva and Parvati. There are many symbols within this photo, far too many for me to grasp them all haha! - Hinduism is rich with beautiful symbology!
For me this photo depicts polarity and union of the masculine and feminine. The divine couple. The play of opposing energies which create and destroy all of manifestation.
@@RefeelYoga thank you for explanation :), i get the picture from energetic union and polarity. With unconditional love 💖,namaste 🌈🙏
(great idea for any app creators out there!)
On my old phone I have a great one simply called "metronome timer" but can no longer find it on the play store (fyi, I use Android).
How long time period to activate root chakra by practice this?
Bro will this activate my muladhara chakra
Yes! This is, by far, one of the best sequences I've even done for activating Muladhara.
Is this considered kundalini yoga?? I am very interested to join this

Thanks.

@@RefeelYoga I'd like for you to modify the lower three chakra postures that sit on the shins. I assume I can be in the mountain pose but maybe sitting in a chair or standing up would be better. Yes.
Also thank you for your advice, I will try to make it more clear when I discuss our Patreon account :)
In terms of ways you can support us, we currently have two options available. There is also a bit of a benefit for us through PayPal because we have less fees to pay ;)
I am very happy you are enjoying the practices so much that you wish to support us. Thank you so much. We take it as a huge compliment and feel very motivated and inspired 💝

Virasana isn't that like the knees are bent isn't this gomukhasana or My bad if it's spelled wrong
Can I practice it at night?
Pity I couldn't follow, the practice was interapted by ads.
Oh no! That's terrible! There should never be any ads in our videos during the practices. And now you're the second person to tell me that there was an ad during their practice 😔
Can you please tell me at which point you were interrupted?
