If I manage to grab one you are MORE than welcome to ride along with me. I’m with you though….. this thing is engineered on HyperCar level attention to detail. And to make 1064 hp on pump gas is madness. And two 76mm turbos!! Each one of them can make 1200 hp… EACH! Crazy And the anti lag is super cool!
David, we both died on cross plane hill Thursday. I am stunned by this car, absolutely killer. Amazed at the attention to the small details as far as the airflow management goes. Love the styling. I'll differ with you on the intake. I really like it. There are complimentary contrasts in color and texture. Too bad I will never be able to afford it 😢😢. Maybe I can get a ride in one someday.
@@Brandonsgarages And GM did it on pump gas man! Freaking crazy!! There’s so much left in this car too….. each of the 76 mm turbos can make 1200 hp and it’s TWINS! Good lord. Can’t wait for some of the trickle down parts to hit the Z06
@@10SecondZ06 100%. Don’t think anyone can argue that anymore. GM made a statement with this car! Thanks for watching former 11secondeclipse turned 10secondZ06! 😊
Hey David. I'm totally blown away by this car. 1064 HP is nuts, plus the 828 TQ is amazing. The intake is keeping the blue theme from previous ZR1's. Keeping the wrinkle finish clean, may be a pain in the a$$. I think i'd be OK with that, though. One local dealership is talking about a bidding system for previous customers saying their expecting 60 to 100k over MSRP. Total BS in my world. I've been on my dealers list for almost 3 years. Hope to be around long enough to upgrade. Thanks for the video.
@@larrynewberry3500 thanks Larry! I don’t agree myself with the dealer mark ups but you know they are going to be there at most places. Criswell Chevrolet has always had a policy of MSRP on orders but we will see how it plays out with this car. I like the idea of keeping the intake blue like on previous Gen ZR1’s but I think it’s that wrinkle finish you mentioned that is turning me off at the moment. You’ll get one I’m sure and it’s going to be AMAZING! Thanks again
9.7sec qt mile time at 150mph was loosely mentioned. They will pull the power/TQ back big time in 1st & 2sec gear, and at shift points which will impact the 0-60 times. I bet a stock Eray will give it a run 0-60. After that this thing is gone. AWD Zora unit will be nuts. My guess is the car we have been seeing with the front Eray radiator is a Grand Sport with total HP in between the z06 & zR1… maybe supercharger. They are setting up to have 3 AWD versions to go along with 3 RWD versions… IMO.
They said they’re pulling Torque on then 1st 3 gears. They also said they already do this on on the e-Ray, z06, & even the stingray. Kind of makes me think if any of the future over the air updates might limit even more torque in order to differentiate the models more.🤔
I think the Z06 sounds better than the ZR1 personally. If they come out with a GS w/ the naturally aspirated LT6 FPC, w/ the front electric motors to take advantage of the AWD & instant torque benefits that would be my ideal set up! I wish I could just do an engine swap in my ERay now throwing in the Z06 motor in the back 😂. #ZRay
David, will you get a coupe or convertible? Track package or no? I agree with you on the split window and new wheels too. I think the base MSRP will be $179,950 though. You are spot on about a nicely appointed ZR1 with a sticker price at or just over $200,000. I hope you get exactly the car you want!
@@GordonCruse the coupe 100%….. I want that split window! One of the most iconic Vette features that has really stood the test of time and it looks so good on the C8 platform. I would also spec the ZTK tack pack option. What a feat of engineering GM managed to pull off with both the Z06 and now the ZR1! Thanks Gordon!

Great informative video. The Z06/Z07 is a supercar and the ZR1 is definitely a hypercar imo.

It's hard to believe another 400HP on the ZO6 l have, let alone almost the same in TQ.
Take care.
