Surreal Struggle 2 ::: video art

This video art project uses Jiu-Jitsu as a lens to examine our primal drives for self-preservation and dominance, and the potentially fraught relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence (AI). The AI's surreal distortion of the combatants is a metaphor for how future artificial general intelligence (AGI) might misinterpret human values - or worse, the possibility that AGI could become misaligned and adversarial toward us. The convoluted misrepresentations of the human form are meant to provoke reflection on the evolving relationship between people and machines, as well as question ideas about strength, dominance, and conflict in our digital age.
