Quando lutei com o Mica, logo no início minha missão foi sobreviver…consegui…25 x 0! Nível absolutamente muito difícil de alcançar, parabéns pela competência, somente talento não adianta!
It probably doesn't have a name. It's a huge flaw of BJJ, and it comes from brazilian culture. If you train Judo, Karate, wrestling, everything has a name, since it comes from cultures that know and value the systematization of curriculums. Brazilian just improvise everything. You can see it in soccer, you can see it in BJJ. Since nothing receives a proper name, it's very hard to pass tje knowledge from one team to another, and so, from one generation to another. Everything is in a constant flux of forgotten to rediscovered.

What is the name for a "colar choke using the lapel"? And exactly about which variation are we talking about? The lapel comes from under the armpit? From the chest? Palm up or palm down? You simply can't see in your head which technique I'm talking about unless I describe it with "a lot more words". That's the point, BJJ needs a standardized curriculum, or we'll keep "rediscovering the DelaRiva guard" every few decades.

When watching bjj videos, whenever I see one purposely sit to pull guard instead of gaining the position from a takedown attempt the practical way it’s meant to be, I instantly want them to loose lol
