The coolest thing about the Brandy doll was that her hair was actually in tiny, tiny braids. She’s the first doll I’ve ever seen like that. When I saw her as a kid I needed her, she was just so beautiful.
ice and hammer make sense because they were usually dressed very well - and hammer was just HUGE in his era, he truly was EVERYWHERE so it makes sense there's a doll
They made Rupaul dolls, she is a pop star, since the 90's she's been realising music so I think it qualifies.

The Britney quote about the pug dog being stung by a bee was directed at the initial Galoob talking doll release not the whole line. The company went away and redesigned the face and she was much happier with what was eventually produced (your doll is the second generation).
Your videos are costing me money. Quite often you will show a doll that I did not know existed and then I can't live without it. This video is a prime example. I have bids on eBay for three of the dolls you featured here. Fingers crossed 💸Cheers!

I have the Shakira doll and she’s beautiful. I actually love how she resembles more of a Barbie. There was a second version of this doll with a different outfit and she comes with an acoustic guitar. I always wanted a doll of Victoria from the Spice Girls & Selena but I never liked how they sculpted their faces once I saw them in Toys R Us. I’m probably one of the few people who prefer celebrity dolls resembling more Barbies than a realistic facial sculpt.
We totally know who SClub7 is in the states!!!!! They were my favorite show to watch after school.
New Kids on the Block dolls were popular in the 90@. I owned Donnie( Wahlberg), and my sister had Jordan (Knight).

One of my favorite pop stars is Vitamin C, I love the hair color and everything that mattel did on her. Also, idk about the states but S Club 7 was big in Latin America thanks to Nickelodeon. I'll for the Spice Girls collection video!
The Sonny and Cher dolls are from about 1976. The Cher doll was the top selling doll that year. I never had these as a kid but I definitely remember seeing them in the various Christmas catalogs we had. Cher had a lot of glamorous outfits.
I would love to see your whole Spice Girls/Britney Spears collection!! Also I owned the Girls Aloud, Little Mix and Gwen Stefani dolls; my first concert was Girls Aloud & I vividly remember bringing my Nadine doll along with me, same goes for my Little Mix Jade/Leigh Anne dolls at the Little Mix concert I went to! 💖
I actually had one of the Cher dolls from the 70’s, I wish I had kept her. Her costumes were fabulous, they were all designed by Bob Mackie.

I love the Taylor Swift dolls! I actually have the holiday doll of her. I also have one of the Ashley Tisdale doll.... not the prettiest doll, but I love her. She came with so many accessories and a poster! As a kid, I used to have one of the Fashion Fever Hilary Duff doll. I really want to find her again and rebuy it. I remember loving it so much.

Love Britney and Kylie dolls, even if they have weird faces... but the outfits are so iconic! Wish someone will make Madonna dolls in the future, it's a crime not to have her as a doll!
PS. I was surpised by Gwen Stefani dolls, never seen them!!! Love the videos they are based on :D
Most of these were aimed at children.... Madonna wasn’t kid friendly for a million years... so it wasn’t gonna happen....

I'm so glad you have S Club 7 on here. I have all of them. I found several at toys r us and the last couple at a discount shop as they lost popularity. I also have the Beyonce and Kelly Hasbro dolls and agree, they really don't look anything like them, but the costumes are nice!

I remember the spice girls in woollies,yes they were there for ages after no one wanted them,my girls didn't want them when they were popular, but should have picked them up when they where reduced to two pounds.and the kylie too i think that's what put us off the terrible face molds .😀great to look back tho.

I have at least one of the Hasbro Destiny’s Child doll - Hasbro was completely trying to recreate the Spice Girls doll popularity, after getting that line when they bought Galoob. I’ve got two Cher dolls one from 70’s Mego and Mattel. Mattel had Donny and Marie Osmond dolls in 70’s - Mattel created a stage for them and then reused it for Barbie and the Rockers in 1986. Mattel reused it to get a BATR accessory into production immediately after finding out that Hasbro was going to release Jem dolls. The set came with a white keyboard, a white guitar, and a white light for the spotlight. So when BATR got that mold doubled in pink and light blue plastic. I’m really geeking out here 😂 Mattel also used the keyboard and guitar in yellow for an Italian release of the BATR Tour Bus. You missed the Steps dolls, I know because I missed getting them. It was extremely hard to find them from the US, since they were released in the UK. New Kids on the Block dolls were extremely popular in 1990. I don’t know if you would call him an investor or a creator, but the same guy then got the Spice Girls dolls going with Galoob, because of the success of the New Kids.

I had the Brandy doll, Baby Hit Me One More Time Britney Spears doll, Posh Spice, Scary Spice, and Sporty Spice, and I had the Hannah S Club 7 doll. My parents bought me these dolls in the early 2000s. As a kid, I wasn't thinking about the celebrities these dolls were based on. I was just thinking "Oh look, a cool looking doll!" I was like 5-7 years old, so I didn't care about pop stars. I just thought the dolls were interesting looking. The Hannah doll was a Christmas present from my aunt though. I was a little disappointed getting that doll for Christmas cause the S Club 7 dolls were what you'd find at the Dollar Store, but she was okay. I did know of the S Club 7 from their tv show that played on ABC Family at the time. I didn't watch the show, but I loved their theme songs. And the doll played a part of the theme song-

so it wasn't too bad. My favorite was the Brandy one though. She was the best quality one and at the time, the only doll I ever had that had micro braids. Which was interesting to see on a doll. That was rarely done back then. But it was nice to see a doll have braids like I had braids, you know? Brandy would be the only one of these dolls that I'd buy again. She had better articulation too.
Funny enough, I remember the Britney Spears doll clothes better than the dolls. I was putting those clothes on my other Barbies, lol. That's the only reason I remember having the doll cause I use to put those clothes on my other dolls all the time.
When I was little I got a nial doll for Christmas that I still own.my sister was going to get me the Harry doll but it creeped her out and she said it looked like the joker

I remember the S Club 7 dolls being in WH Smith.
I think with Girls Aloud's 20th anniversary, a lot of money could be made by producing sets of comemorative dolls in each tour's iconic costumes. Like the super hero outfits in the opening set of the Tangled Up Tour shows. Followed by the black showgirl outfits of the second set, the glittery gold fringe dresses and so on. They could donate a good chunk of the profits to breast cancer research in Sarah Harding's name.

Wow, how did Vanilla Ice get a doll? I remember most of the American ones, but some I didn't know about like Christina and Mandy Moore and Gwen Stefani. My sister has the 80s Michael Jackson doll and I bought one of the 5th Harmony dolls just for the outfit when they went half price.

I must mention that a (still) very popular singer (Lepa Brena) from the Balkans had her own doll in the eighties. I really don't know that somebody from Eastern Europe or the West has produced his or her own fan doll. Lepa Brena was a huge pop star in Yugoslavia nad some parts of the Eastern block. She was very ahead of her time and wore nice costumes. She is still popular, but her best time was in the eighties.
I had the Michael Jackson red jacket one, and when I lost his glove, I used a Ken sparkle sock and rubber band.

This is when i start to dream in a parallel world where the fashion celeb doll fad started a bit more earlier and The Beatles fashion dolls existed. I mean, they had very unique faces, were (and still) VERY POPULAR, and they had lots, lots of fashion styles practically eash year. David Bowie and Prince too, why not. OVER THE TOP.
