What a wonderful time to be alive when you can open RUclips and watch a man eat budget food products. Quality content ❤️
Idek why but I'm binge watching it at 3 in the morning
davin cowie I’m doing the same thing at the same time
Pascal Yao it gets boring by day 5 lol
You forgot your lunch? That's what happens when you have a Tesco Value memory.
Snorlax 😂😂😂
Snorlax hahahahahaha
Tesco Valley Farms remembers. 👨🌾
i am so addicted to these videos!!
1. How do you manage to be so bloody hungry after four hours
2. What the hell is your job and why is it in an assortment of abandoned warehouses
3. Who the hell is driving you around
Joe Gateaux I think Mike secretly runs a drug cartel. Punching out the teeth of those who betray him must work up an appetite.
he only ate that tiny cereal bar for breakfast.
Tiffany Nutmeg sure, but I'm a greedy bastard and even I can skip a couple of meals without feeling starving (Mike's favourite word)
No one's driving him around. Their cars have the driver on the right side
Urban Kitsune and he's filming from left side.
So, how about ASDA Smartprice after this? Curious how it compares - could even do a few more "Week On " video series!
It's probably mostly the same stuff in a different package. Store brand products are usually either a name brand packaged for a private label, or made by a company that primarily does private label products for various stores. I know this mainly because I work in a grocery store and see product come in from a major brand or get another store's brand by mistake because it got shipped to the wrong warehouse.
call it 'battle of the blands'
@thenarstar that is the best idea I've ever heard in relation to supermarket-brand comparison videos.
Admittedly, I've not heard very many ideas in that category, but it's still pretty awesome.
@fireyf Hmm, maybe - but some of them offer different things that aren't stocked by other chains (ie. a different variant of the pasta packets). So perhaps not an item-to-item comparison, though I'd still be curious for that at least once, but an overall range comparison?
L S Hilarious. This girl hasn't even done anything to you, and to me doesn't seem to be annoying at all.
Not a girl but thanks, Bandamani.
And @L S - I could toss out some random asinine judgment of you you based on your flower-crown profile pic, but I actually realise there's more to things than the miniscule viewpoint I might take from a half-second observation.
In actuality, the name was changed from my username to coincide with YT's new policy whilst I was in Japan, and a Japanese friend happened to change it for me. I found it cute, so I kept it.
And if you think "only Japanese people can use Japanese!" then you've got a huge, huge surprise in store if you happen to go to Japan and see all the English they use over there. ;)
That office complex reminds me of my dreams. Where there is always another room you haven't seen, in a place you have been in for a while.
You could always warm your hands by putting them under your bottom. Putting them under other people's bottoms probably isn't advised.
SpartacusWienham what about IN other people’s bottoms?
Did you know that Tesco do value frozen fruit and vegetables? Might be a good supplement to all the fast food.
Diedert Spijkerboer they also have value fresh meat and vegetables but they rebranded them using fake farms.
And frozen fruit and vegetables generally have equal or greater nutritional value than fresh so it would be just as good for him.
Anthony Jackman Was the fruit and veg also rebranded? I don't live in the UK, so I just did a search online to see if they had any of that in the range.
Yep they're Tesco value products but they're sold under the names of fake farms, stuff like 'Redshire Farms' and 'Nightingale Farms'. Presumably so people aren't instantly turned off by the normal Value branding. In my experience 90% of the Value products I've tried have become staples on my shopping list.
Anthony Jackman yes this is what ive been posting. i remember i fell for the fake farms when it began but realised when everything went off in a day
I've just discovered your channel this evening and I've been watching four about 3 hours straight. I don't know why this is so entertaining, but it is.
Meanwhile, his wife is off camera eating a couple Whoppers and knocking back a forty.
Can you blame her? ;)
Best comment on here. 😂
Fordy ounce fo sho
😂😂
Sherbert World of Schlock brilliant 😂😂😂
LESS COMPLAINING... MORE BASIL!!!
But he complains about Basil
You think you're starving? I haven't eaten in 9 years and you don't see me complaining!
Charles Teague I haven’t eaten in 9 years, 2 months and 17 days
What is the reference?
That was not a cup of tea... that’s a cup of milk
‘’i don’t have snacks but i do have HANDWARMERS’’ 😂😂
All digestives, custard creams, bourbons come from the same line in Mcvities. From M&S to Tesco own
Wonder how good a pizza you could MAKE using only Tesco value stuff. Even if pastry was impossible, taking one of those value margheritas and adding different value stuff (like their ham slices, and extra grated cheese) on top of it.
NALGames my mam does this haha
If you were making it from scratch then you'd have to skip on the yeast, which is a pretty crucial part.
there are a multitude of breads and bases that do not use yeast. Have you ever tried a flatbread pizza?
Value yoghurt and value self raising flour. That's all you need for a pizza base :)
Just finished a wee, before watching this......AMAZING!!!
‘’I’m trying to fill this gaping hole inside of me’’. Mikes cutting deep. Said the same thing when my ex left
The white chocolate and strawberry bars are actually so good 😊
When you forgot the food, i couldn't stop laughing lol.
"I did 8 massive wees" It was worth it for this line alone.
The Tesco value garlic bread is absolutely delicious, I buy it in bulk and keep it in the freezer 😋😋😋
6:26 Digestive biscuits are one of the things most of my fellow Americans really miss out on. I love those things. I don't mind paying out the nose to have them shipped in from Amazon. They're amazing.
I'm seriously shocked by the prices! You can't hardly buy anything for less than $1 in America!
Everyday Value garlic bread is actually really good.
If you want to watch someone talk about wees and say that they’re hungry 400 times then this video is for you
These videos are literally him saying
"I'm absolutely starving"
I'm slightly concerned about you getting scurvy, I'm on the verge of posting a Tesco value lime to your P.O box. How fortified exactly were those cornflakes?
You don't get scurvy after just 7 days of no Vitamin C.
I'm sorry, I just can't muster anything other than a 'no shit, Sherlock'.
SamMiniC looks like someone doesn’t understand what sarcasm is👀😂
😄😄😄
had to comment..i saw a bloke buy about 20 lemons today in the local shop, I noticed and said "that's a lot of lemons mate" "do you have scurvy? ....he didn't laugh, I thought I was the funniest man alive.
I’m actually really entertained watching these videos! Hehehe
When you tried the Dump Dinner recipes, there was an expectation that the food would be terrible - even when you discovered a Dump Dinner recipe that was edible, you were disappointed that it wasn't as bad as you anticipated. Not so here - it's like you aren't really expecting anything too disappointing, there's a only a very mild surprise that it's "alright". Maybe Tesco's is too good and not adventurous enough?
That's what happens when you review things you always a preconception of what it will be, but you're not always right. He's mentioned he expected them to be much worse, as many people find Tesco to be gross, so he honestly is surprised they are even alright, some even good.
Mike what do you do? Why are you in this strange building?
Kieran McDermott it’s his Tesco Value building!
I've been without food for (not quite 9 years, yet) but I'm tube/TPN fed and miss my food hugely, but only those digestive biscuits have appealed to me so far!!!
3:35 made me cry bc I was just so baffled and I don't even know what to think 😭😂😂😂
Ooh, I ate so many of those Tesco value cheese and tomatoes at uni. They're ok cold too so were good for lunches. They were nice topped with tuna (Tesco value tinned tuna was a thing then, no idea if it still is.)
Really like this series mate. I've always felt for the price tesco value is really good and allows everyone to get generic versions of name brand. My gf will enjoy the slimming world vids. Keep up the nice interesting vids
Love these videos Mike! Would love to see you do these more often even though they must be taxing...but it is great entertainment haha! How about a week on only reduced to clear items? i know it would need you to shop everyday but it would be great to see something less predictable for you :)
Love the duvet covers 👌
I used to work in a biscuit factory and don't tell anyone but they don't actually change the formula for biscuits....they just turn the brand stamp off! Never bought branded biscuits ever again :)
wait.. bread to accompany ... pizza
I think they do value bitter. I've tried it and it was carbonated so tasted the same as the value lager. Just a bit more coppery
I enjoy food also Mike but being disabled and on a very limited income I have to buy a lot of cheap foods but I’ve learned to make everything taste better by adding my own spices and in the case of frozen pizza I add extra cheese and if I’m feeling like adding something else I’ll add some sausage. I usually only eat cheese pizzas or cheese and bacon pizzas.
Love your channel
We weigh the same but you eat between 2-4x what I do in a day. I generally only have dinner and a snack.
I used to be addicted to the value spaghetti hoops. They used to do amazing chocolate chip cookies.
I’m pretty sure you can get Tesco value orange juice and tomato tins... among other tinned/ frozen fruit and veg...maybe you could have them in place of fresh fruit and veg
It's funny in Canada my store is now the exclusive supplier of Tesco products marketed as Britains Favourite Snacks
What, those digestive is 44p in England! Those are around 1.60 GBP in Malaysia. Wow 400%for importing low quality stuff. Though I loved it
Looking forward to your book getting funded! I backed for a paperback copy. I don’t do ebooks me.
Tesco used to do a value Gin, did they not? They don’t do it anymore, because it tasted like petrol.
Tesco certainly still do sell value lager (atleast in the store I go to). If you order online, sometimes they don't list it online.
Tesco Value lager - for the lower echelon of alcoholic
1 pound for 4 tins of beer huh? sounds dreadful... (cries in norwegian)
All my friends are dead
My father once told me that there are Norwegian tourists coming down here to Denmark solely to buy beer.
Denmark, Sweden, Finland... there is a reason why Norwegians are usually plastered when on vacation after all.
Crys in norwegian Lmaoooo im dead
I've gone 9 years without food. Don't know what your moaning about.
Dude, eat a sandwich already.
Have a Snickers you are not yourself.
I've been fasting for 3 days. 'Starving' after 4 hours is hilarious.
Yeah sure you have
The Fool fasting is so good for you, i'm going to do it like the Mocha Family on CherishMyDaughter does theirs
Dunno why but I find this so entertaining ☺️
Wasn’t there a Tesco nearby that you could jump into and grab something for lunch? Also, you could chop up some ham and add it the pizza halfway through cooking to bolster it. I like the value pizzas as I don’t like an overly cheesy pizza. The cereal bars are handy to keep in your desk drawer for an emergency breakfast but you really need two.
The pizza is so nice I just add more cheese, sweetcorn, mushrooms and peppers
i always buy the tesco value garlic bread its so nice :D
That cheese pizza looks like my ideal cheese/sauce ratio. I’d trade a bessie’s revenge for that any day
Tesco Value Garlic bread is nice. I have tried it
They do still do Tesco Everyday Bitter, and Tesco Lager
I would definitely buy those cereal bars for that price. They cost 4.99 for the cheap ones or 6.99 for the brand name ones.
That Tesco garlic bread got me through the worst of times.
Tesco Value is harder to find now it’s all Plimsbury Farm and Brookwells Dairy, etc (I made those up, just like Tesco does!j. They’ve just released about 5 different kinds of bread for 50p a loaf...I was going to say 50p-ish but that spelled pish! Lol
"I've been trying to fill this gaping hole inside me!" *Moans*
That pizza cutter is the best
Lidls chocolate digestives are so much better than tescos :)
The asda chocolate and nut musli bars have loads of chocolate on them for the same price as the tesco ones
Your book does sound interesting. A bit broke at the moment, so I'll have to wait a little before I buy it.
Oh look! Mike's suffering again! :D
My boyfriends mum always buys the Tesco value pizza and i love them lol
@mike Jeavons , Tesco still sell Tesco Everyday Value Lager. Maybe it's just your store.
Hello Mike :) nice vids man 👍👏 subbed and thumbs up
If I can afford to back your book after I finish moving to my new house that I’m renting the top floor of from a friend I definitely will. I’m hoping I will be able to as long as I don’t have to hire a U-haul I will.
Those kinds of pizzas are excellent...
IF you want to make your own pizza. Anchovies, tuna, green olives and jah-lapa-noes, for me! And extra cheese, because... well...
So far I've only followed your experiment as far as day 4 so forgive me if I'm jumping the gun. What I wanted to ask/suggest is why not try the bread toasted, as from what you say it already sounds very dry? Also I can remember (and it doesn't seem all that long ago) when Tesco value chocolate digestives were 19p and their value bread was 17p.
It’s 102% pledged now!
All that garlic you'll be keeping away vampires for days!
When he cut that pizza, I genuinely thought he was trying to do a 6 slicer.
Top 10 Anime plot twists
Don't feel bad, yesterday all i had was a rice and bean tortilla taco, actually I'm pretty dang hungry right now /:
Finally some classic Jeavons starvation
*oh my god, I've been like 9 years without food*
The Purchase Price Parity and exchange rates between the US dollar and the UK pound must be incredibly wide.
I’m going to Tesco and buying that pizza, it looked nice to me because I hate cheesy pizzas. I always over cook my pizzas so the cheese it burnt.
That garlic bread is great actually, vegan too.
We get that garlic bread such a bargain and tastes great 😊
Beer flavoured piss fizz ... lmaooo
At my Tesco’s there’s no other garlic bread than the Tesco quality but tbh it’s really good
I felt so bad because I watched this while eating lunch...
Lol slightly beer flavoured piss-fizz sounds like they just follow around a bunch of heavy beer drinkers and get them to wee in a bucket and then bottle it .
At the end of the week can you say how much you spent in total for your weeks worth of groceries
they do still do Tesco value bitter for £1
should have got some tesco value wine!
I actually imported mcvitties because I can't find them where I live. They are delicious.
Tesco Value > no food at all, clearly.
Digestive biscuits: I always imagine that if you put one next to other food, that food would be digested...
Digestive biscuits - eat a whole pack and you don't shit for days
unDigestives
I hope that hand warmer was a Tesco Value/Everyday Value hand warmer! I’m sure it’s against the rules if you don’t haha
Hiya, I found you over your shameful sequels cross-over with the Nostalgia Critic. I thoroughly enjoy your shameful sequels series. Anyway, just meant to say I enjoy your content and keep at it :)
The whinging about the lack of lunch could easily have been solved by driving 5 minutes to the Tesco Express which is undoubtedly nearby and picking up some Tesco Value slop.
Mike is staaaaaaarrrrrrrvvvvvviiiinnnnggggg
"On the road again", I predict a lot of Americans are screaming "You're on the wrong side of the road!!!" when the headlights kick in.
i am 43 lost alot of weight was 18 stones now 13 stones all i did was half my food portions it has been 18 months
