- Some may say the Transfagarasan is the most beautiful road in the WORLD, and we think we agree! Even though we haven't been on EVERY single road in the world, this one had our jaws dropped and our hearts full. Romania has been one of our favorite countries we have ever visited, and we truly hope one day you experience this wonderful place with your own eyes.

I have a bad experience with those bears. I was hiking with my sister and in one night the bear entered in our tent. I still have a scar on my left palm from a wood i tried to break in the middle of the night to have some fire. Although i experienced a bear in my tent, i was still hiking with my wife (this time) and sleeping in a tent for years. But not anymore since we have children. Now we go to our cabin in the mountains next to Curtea de Argeș, 50 km from Transfăgărășan.
That sounds terrifying 😅

You should see the Valea Rea waterfall or Cascada Cailor (The Horses Waterfall). Both of them very spectacular. Especially Valea Rea

Welcome! I hope u come back and see a whole lot more than the road that the Top Gear guys liked 🙂. As others mentioned you should take your time to visit the Danube Delta, go on Transalpina and other epic roads, go on a tour of monasteries in the region of Moldavia with many places to camp and amazing food to try, or go in winter in regions like Bucovina or Maramures to enjoy local Christian traditions that very few other places preserve.👍🍻

I hope u enjoy all of Eastern Europe because is kind like of a hidden gem and u kind of have to do a little bit of research to know where to go and what to explore, but after that initial 'so where do I go first' u kind of want to spend a whole year or more just wondering and trying new stuff as u go along.😉😘

@@yemsrachteshome110 Yes, there is, but the main religion is Orthodox and the second is Catholic. There are also muslims (Turks, Tatars etc.) and other religions to a mush lesser extent...

No we would never!! We went to cluj and the hoia forest but not Salina turda 🥲

i waz on Transfagarasan on the 4 june and the road waz closed /// 4 meters of snow on the last few serpentiens to the top@!

Trans-Alpina is way more beautiful than Trans-Fagarashan. :) Maybe you could give it a try. They are not that far from each other.
