Yep I knew this, I used it when it snowed in 2021 in Houston, super cool feature, I have an sr5 and didn’t think I had that feature but tried the defrost one day and the mirrors started clearing up!

So what ever happened to the video about roof top tents? My 02 needs one for me and the wife. Also, nice miata in the back ground... miatas and 4runners go together quite well if you ask me

@@PartimeOverland I think I might sell my 04 mazdaspeed miata to build the 4runner. Low miles, clean, and already built so I should be able to sell it for enough to do a decent build on the 4runner. It is a sellers market for miatas currently
I had a 2000 SR5 for 5 years. Unfortunately it didn’t have heated mirrors. It would have been nice here in Wisconsin. I thought it was 1999/2000 Limited models and all 2001/2002’s had it? Toyota was hit and miss with some features it seems on 3rd gens- super odd.
Right! They did switch some features up throughout the generation. I personally think 1999/2000 is my favorite. It had all the features you needed, but also the last years to have the e-locker. The best years for an off-roader in my opinion.
@@PartimeOverland I really need to get another one. I regret selling it but the price was right and it was getting rusty. It’s hard finding the right 1999/2000 with the features I want at a decent price.

I have a 99 limited. Is this on all the time. I've had mine for 10, never noticed it. I live in CA so we don't get a lot of freezing temps.
Ha! Yeah you guys have it easy in Cali;) If you ever need to test it out, the mirror heat turns on when you engage the rear window defrost. Cheers!
