    I'm surprised you didn't mention Procar's V10 swapped E46 M3. The engine is converted to dry-sump oiling system and it has the E92 M3's DCT gearbox. Autotopnl drove it on the autobahn upto +300kmh and Misha Charoudin drove it around the Nurburgring.

    There is also a v10 swapped E39 M5 here on youtube, that one should have been on this list. Also, the most powerful BMW v12 is the S70/2 that is used in the McLaren F1. Thanks for the video!

    I pray that one day the V10 returns, but i guess till the turn of the decade we must first pray that IC engines dont really get outlawed and the alternative fuels get mileage.
    With the death of the 5.2 FSI, theres no V10 car currently being produced, albeit theres 2 hypercar projects to be properly produced using the platform (Pambuffetti PJ01 and the bertone GB110) and theres a supposedly Russian project from the former Marussia that said they would make a judd derived car, but theres not much concrete on it yet.
    Its a shame the RB17 ended up being a track only car, its an amazing machine but not being road legal is not the same.

      Yeah man, the V10 is really something special. It’s a shame the VW Group ditched that engine, but I guess that’s just the reality we’re living in. All we can do now is dream.

      @@AkhiDrive yeah, they basically ditched all the unique engines they had and the only one with something equivalent unique was buggatti bringing the V16 back from its grave, bentley didnt even get V12s, its all V8s now, even if the new lambo V8 is a cool one, that would had fit better on an Audi supercar or something while lambo kept the V10 just going hybrid.

      yet it can still be serviceable and tunable compared to original v12 that has some parts kits & OEM electric and software things discontinued..

      I mesn you can count all the diferent types of road car V10s produced in the world on both of your hands (if you consider the 5 or so viper generations of V10s as one) and the LFA and Carrera GT are the top 2 on their sound.

Im just saying the v10 in the bmw m5/m6 didnt sound very musical and didnt have a great tone. there are literally exuast shops with videos discussing how to imrove the shit sound and why it doesnt sound like the 5ltr lambo v10

    • @AkhiDrive
      @AkhiDrive  Месяц назад +3

      Nah man you tripping 😂. There is no way you said that. Most enthusiasts I know absolutely love the S85 V10. Just watch any video about the E60 M5, and you’ll hear people praise how it sounds. If you personally don’t like it, that’s fair, but saying enthusiasts hate it is just not true.

      @@huyahai mostly heard its remarkably unreliable even for a sportscar engine because BMWs do that, but never heard anyone say it sounds bad. Its not LFA or Carrera GT because those are literally the top 2, but its nowhere near bad, its still a V10 that BMW based on their actually (albeit shortlived) F1 racing program on the mid 2000s. With how rare V10s are in the first place and only really shines during this period thanks mostly to their presence in F1 from the 90s to mid 2000s, the S85 being one of the only 3 sportscar desicated V10s that saw larger production its worth all the praise a V10 should get.

      @@unkindled6410 really I’ve heard heaps of owners complaining that the sound is sub optimal and to raspy. And many exhaust solutions have been tried with no real improvement until recently with FMU Exhuast shop nailing it. There gallardo v10 exhaust is also the best sounding. Go to watch there vid on the BMW v10
