Team Malizia is the most endearing team on the Ocean Race at the moment, for such a variety of reasons and I could list every member we have seen on camera so far. The scene that explains why we fans like the Malizians so much for me, was when the team was clapping and cheering as Holzim pulls up to the dock. To cheer on your strongest competitor reentering the race, that is just the spirit of this race. Malizians ❤
We are all friends on land and try to support each other whenever we can. thank you for the support!!
Was für ein tolles Team, jeder einzelne ist ein Zahnrad vom großen Getriebe. Das Schauen hinter die Kulissen ist einmalig. Man bekommt eine tolle Einsicht in die Funktionsweise eines einmaligen Team. Alle Mitglieder stellen sich der Kamera, einfach super. Das Video ist so gefühlvoll von Carsten zusammengefügt, ganz großes Kino. Auch der Sportsgeist beim Jubeln vom Wiedereinstieg des Team Holcim ist einfach fair und lobenswert. Egal wie das Rennen letztendlich ausgeht, Malizia bleibt unvergessen. Und der 24 Stundensieg bleibt für die Ewigkeit. Als Fan vom Sofa aus fühlt man sich immer mitgenommen und ausführlich informiert. Weiterhin viel Erfolg und liebe Grüße aus Uelzen 🤗🤗👏👏🍀⛵️

I think Malizian have the best vibe in the Ocean Race. That was the main reason why i fell in love with them. :)
I am still rooting for 11th Hour to win but I still think that Malizia is the most personable of the teams. When I spoke to some of the other people in newport they said that Antoine was the only media member that they knew by name.

This edition answers so many questions I had... about the spirit bond within the team, the balance between hangin´ loose and commitment. This team really has a special aura, an incremental human bond that I really like! I mean, you guys live in a world I don´t have an approach to (although I did sail in my youth a bit, even teaching kids sailing Optis) but you really kept a kind of "normal" team spirit.
You Malizians really are - at least - the winners of hearts for me, no matter the outcome on the scoreboard but... you have all my belief and support for making the big thing possible! FLY MALIZIA!! 👍❤💯 And... keep on having fun!!! Greetz from Berlin/Germany. Great editing btw...

Best team and still a 100 % an, hope to see them in The Hague. My impression before the leg (all based on what they have said in video's befroe the start) however was that Boris had problems to get in the rhytm again, Will is tired, Rosie did not expect this leg to be that challenging and Yann felt the burden of matching "Brains" performance. Also the content of this episode feeds the impression that the mental preparation for this crucial leg was not what it could have been. Could this have made the difference in the end :) ? Loved the sportsmen attitude of the entire crew time after arrival. Congrats, I wish them all the focus and power and wind (and waves) they need for the next leg and will cheer them in The Haque, first, second or whatever, but in any event in good health and the boat in one .....

Wishing you success, in the first place finishing the race safe and sound, unscathed and the yacht in good condition, and of course it would be the crown should you manage to overtake your competitors and finish the race on first rank 🤞🤞🥇

Once again, a very nice glance behind the curtains. And for the media team: As someone, who has had to deal with the 50hz / 60hz difference and the effect it has on cameras: I feel you. I really do :P
Thank you Ove, the 60 Hz flickering drove me crazy. I was happy that it was only noticeable in the beginning when Boris arrived and during the Yacht Club dinner. I found a great plugin for editing: „Flicker Free“ from Digital Anarchy. But in the end I decided not to buy it to fix the few annoying scenes.
@@carstenbehrendt8005 Yeah, I ran into similar issues when capturing standardized footage for technical training purposes. I was overjoyed when the new lighting arrived, which resolved the issue - and kept me from having to edit a couple dozen hours of content. :D

Bought myself and my sisters from VEE COLLECTIVE a Tote Back each - so we have 3 out of 120 ! I also have the MALIZIAN CAPE-HOORN PULOVER😉
I first sailed in the Baltic in 1972 - Olympic Games, in Kiel Schilksee - when Boris was still in the baby pond 🤭🤭. Did I hear that correctly, 11 th hours has changed the foils? What has that to do with it? For me clearly in Leg 5 : they were uncatchable fast on the road!

You mentioned technical issues during leg 5 that you wanted to discuss, but never did in this video. What happened to the boat at the beginning of the race?
Is there disappoint in the team for the third place? I mean, they did the very best und have the WR.
No we are really proud of the team, they did their best, they fought hard, they won a world record and they did all that with inspiring content!

Perhaps I'm too competitive but it seems to me that Holcim should, at least, take a cut in points or a disqualification for taking a ride on a cargo ship! They will have not sailed around the world
