Reasons to back the manager:
- ETH had a great first season.
- 3 finals in his first 2 years at the club.
- Winning 2 cups, league cup and FA cup - no other manager has done that. Instilling a winning mentality.
- Dealt with the chaos at the club.
- Tried to change style of play and personnel - sure enough injuries and new goalie errors dumped Utd out of champions league. But with the changes it's to be expected.
- Brought youngsters through in to first team.
- Got 8th which in the scheme of things wasn't too bad.
I know this is Manchester United but all in all he's not done too bad. Reasons to be cheerful 😉.

Here is the actual view, Simon - MU already sacked 5 managers before EtH and have nothing to show for it. So why sack another coach who is popular with fans, and reset the clock yet again? EtH won two trophies and he is nurturing next generation of players at MU. Let him continue and make sure he is not distracted by off-pitch issues and not hampered by preventable injuries to the squad.

He's clearly been aware of what was happening the whole time. While it's not ideal, you can see why they've done reviews and spoken to other managers. I was annoyed while it was happening, but from his interviews, it doesn't seem behind his back tbh

The ship has sailed, ETH is confirmed as Man Utd’s manager, Ineos is negotiating a contract extension and Sir Jim Ratcliffe is very realistic in managing expectations. And whether you’re convinced that Ineos had all the right to handle the situation as they did or if you believe the process leaves room for improvement is irrelevant now. ETH should have been sacked in December, we knew then that since winning the league cup form was continuing to dip and get worse, people say ETH had a fantastic first season, which was soooooooooo far from the truth, the up dip for Rashford for a few months, and that is all it was for, made a very poor season look half decent, in that first season everyone was saying his loyalty to Antony was not helping, as he would not drop him, last season he would not drop Rashford, he is an awful manager and INEOS saw that and tried to bring in someone else, so they spoke to a number of managers, having found none that were interested they told ETH he was the best out there, so they cant be good at their jobs if they were blind to that until they interviewed a load of other managers. So yes INEOS were indeed out of order, for not sacking ETH in December
