    He barely takes any dribbles for any of his shots. He is so efficient in moving without the ball, and once he gets it, he only needs 1 or 2 dribbles to create space. There is no wasted dribbling.

      Product of Crew I've also seen Mike travel & that was not a travel lol. He was just so fuckn smooth man! It was a privilege to watch him growing up which makes not seeing him now suck! I definitely think LeBron is a great player but there was just something so effortless about jordans play. Kobe was definitely smooth as well & I'm still so sad about that...smh

    Note that Jordan was already 33 at this point and still plays top level defense.
    Most above 30 year old superstars today virtually stop playing defense at this point for "load management" and conserve energy for the playoffs.

      Mr Q Ceaz this era actually mirrors the same era Mike played in with the addition of more athletic players, the teams and records are all similar. Most ppl but into the hype that it was so much harder but you had guys like Tim hardaway, Stockton, Price, Zeke, Chris Jackson, Joe dumars, Vinnie Johnson, Mark Jackson, Damon stoudemire, all 6'3 or smaller putting up numbers so that tougher stronger myth is just that.

    when he came back for second three peat he had lost a step. I mean he was still the best but compared to first three peat he was at 80 percent of what he use to be. the mj from the 1st three peat is the greatest athlete of all time the things he did was not humanely possible.

    • @johnyb9519
      @johnyb9519 5 лет назад +3

      For me, he did a mistake during the 1995 summer when he put on more muscle than needed. You watch the 1995 playoffs, and MJs' athleticism was mostly there, even though he'd been away from the sport for 2 years almost, did several vintage MJ stuff (including dunks on the whole Orlando team). Come next year he was much bulkier, and heavier, and kind of settled in a post up/midrange type of offense which little by little affected his body too. Its all understandable though, second three peat MJ wasnt as motivated and as angry as first three peat MJ. He had found a way of maintaining his excellence without spending too much of himself mentally.

    • @zpacify
      @zpacify 3 года назад

      @@johnyb9519 He was motivated. he jsut wanted to change his game and stay on the post and be more effective thinking that that was better than playing on the permieter. But yeah he bulked up too much. The 95 MJ was light on his feet. Should've maintained that and just added a few pounds. He was strong anyway. He didn't need that extra muscle IMO.

    Its amazing how polished his footwork is. Kobe is polished as well but he still ends up taking tough shots. Jordan really sells his move so he ends up getting a clean look more times than not. Kobe is a tougher shot maker.

      @cupcakesandmuffins6844 6 лет назад +5

      Dat_BA06_Guy Kobe takes a lot of contested shots in difficult, tight situations and from a further range. Jordan's shot selection was much cleaner. Jordan's big hands higher lift, and hangtime helped him create more space and thus a better look. Kobe didn't quite have that luxury but he still was able to get his shot off even if he couldn't create as much space as Jordan. Kobe also didn't have the same drive to the basket that Jordan did so defenders can play on him a little bit tighter. That's not a knock on Kobe because he drove in great in his prime. His lesser physical abilities played a huge part in him having to take tougher more contested shots than Jordan.

    • @blackadam06
      @blackadam06 6 лет назад +4

      +Cupcakes ANDmuffins
      There's been LOTS of guys throughout NBA history, that had the "ability" to take (and make) these "tough shots" that you guys seem to think only kobe's capable of.
      Bird, Magic, MJ, Gervin, Bernard King, etc., there's PLENTY of 'em.
      But what separates them from kobe, is that they had the discipline and ability to consistently work for (and find) BETTER shots to take. You see this "ability" that you're trying to assign to kobe, and are giving him credit for, is actually just a laziness and a lack of a good/great shot selection on his part.
      The truth of the matter is this: the good/great front-court talent that he consistently played with, is what masked A LOT of his deficiencies in this area. Because throughout the course of his career, he'd launch up about 5 to 6 wild, bad shots a game, and out of 'em, he'd make maybe 1 or 2 of 'em in spectacular fashion.
      This is what's led to this fanboys claiming that he's a "tough shot" maker. But they TOTALLY ignore the 4 or 5 bad ones that he MISSED in that SAME game.

    • @cupcakesandmuffins6844
      @cupcakesandmuffins6844 6 лет назад +2

      Dat_BA06_Guy ehh I think you're getting too worked up here. I'm not a kobe fan boy. No need to write so much when we both agree he has bad shot selection. Still it doesn't take away from the fact he makes tough shots

    MJ was 12-12 at the free through line there at the end when they had a comfortable 7 point lead and the game was over. So instead of stat padding, he attempted to make that last one with his eyes closed. Cause why not? He wasn't there to look good on just paper. This is the only time ive seen him actually miss one of those but thats fine because he respected the game enough not to inflate his numbers... cough lelfop cough. And when people say Kobe was better than MJ at free throws with his .01% lead, they're not taking into account that MJ shot with his eyes closed sometimes🐐

    Damn, of the first 3 Clippers shown on the screen, 2 have died, and the other is paralyzed from the shoulders down. Very sad.
    Jordan got so much separation on his shots and makes everything look effortless.
    Stanley Roberts was on this Clippers team, he played at LSU with Shaq and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. He was very talented but lacked a real passion for the sport. Jordan and Pippen went up to him after a game and told him he could be extremely rich and famous if he worked harder on his game. Sports illustrated had a good article on him in the early 2000s

You’re saying today’s NBA is also watered down? Fkn idiot. There are so many intangibles that go into a season that numbers can’t explain.

    • @KingAmaniImani

      Mark alt no need to be disrespectful, the point in making is how ppl like to discredit teams today without proper research. I'm quite aware of the nuances, intangible and variances that go into a season to determine outcomes but my main point is there's no difference when it all boils down. But for you, control your manners or lack thereof. You don't have to respect but you don't have to be disrespect either.

    • @megadrive6573
      @megadrive6573 6 лет назад +3

      @Richard Riley,
      There is a huge difference. The 90's was the era with more 50+win teams and 60+win teams in any other decade. The compatition and the parity was at his best. You've had 4 or 5 teams on each conference that could compete for a championschip every season.
      Today? Only one or two teams in only one conference can pretend to a championschip. Big difference.

    this was the season when they won 69 games after they won 72 the previous season. its funny how they lost 3 games fewer than the previous season but at the same time 69 games is still a time great season

    Jordan would average 40 in today game where you can’t handcheck bump your opponent and 1995 Jordan was lot more quicker and faster because in 1994 he decided to bulk up and he lost his quicker and then that off season he lost 10 pounds he had his quickness back and his athleticism and the reason why he wanted to bulk up is because he knew once he turned 33 he would lose his speed and a little athleticism and wanted to be efficient in the midrange and the post instead on the perimeter
