They had to do more practices then the 3 stars. Kobe worked way harder. Lebron does too. That being said mj was an athletic freak and basketball savant. He was one of the first to include athletic conditioning, weight lifting and was the first athletic guy that bothered to learn fundamentals. All these things are common place now. MJ could not work harder than most top guys due to overtraining and the increased risk of injury. I take it you’ve never trained in athletics. He did not work harder than boxers, college wrestlers, swimmers in his day. Boxing, mma, wrestling, swimming, gymnastics are the most grueling sports in terms of training.

He did intense training including basketball training, weight training, and athletic training not to mention the studying that he did to learn how to beat teams as well as to develop his game. Iverson was right about practice. If you carry your team to a championship over and over who cares about practice 😂

These 3 rules open the lane and allow small guards shoot 3s and penetrate. Lololol. You are just way too simple and naive. In 99 when the rules started to change, ppl already predicted it will be the quick small guards world. Do u know Derek Harper? He was called strongest hands in nba. He hand checked small guards like a puppy dog in the old days. HAND CHECK. Look at today’s game. Only 3s and dunks. Google 200 hottest spots on court in last decade. No single mid range spot. @tony tonyt Jordan would do fine in today's game, especially with the amount of spacing there is on the floor. Getting to the hoop would be a breeze, as would be finding spots on the floor for his jumper. He would have to work on his 3 point shot though, but given Jordan's work ethic I wouldn't doubt for a second he would improve.
      That being said, people often forget the 80's had HUGE scoring averages and that they actually WENT DOWN in the 90's largely due to expansion.

      No I'm not.
      The problem is that the frame of reference of fanboys like yourself, only seems to extend back to the 2nd 3-peat (if that).
      So y'all think that those are his prime years.
      But anybody who actually saw his career in its entirety, knows that there's a CLEAR DISTINCTION (and big difference) between late 80s/early 90s MJ, vs 2nd 3-peat MJ.
      He physically was not same player during those 3-peat latter seasons, that he was during the former. Why do you think the fade-a-way became the staple of his game during the 2nd 3-peat?
      It's because he physically could no longer do what he used to be able to do in his prime.
      I'm sorry to burst ya bubble, but y'all simply missed the best version of him...

      @The Duke As both teams complete yeah but not before Jordan alone would still drop plenty of points on them in a loss cause. Not to mention his STILL playoff record of 63 points.

    • @marioduque4032
      @marioduque4032 4 года назад

      The Celtics really never did anything to get in the way they only met once in the playoffs the rest of the time it was the pistons. But they only stopped them from advancing they never stopped Jordan. Hes always pouring an onslot of points. They werent done with anything. Lebron had to deal with both celtics and pistons and in the end and now only with 3 titles.

    It’s scary how comfortable MJ looked in this game. He had 30+ and a game winner and he was so casual about it like it’s just another day at the office. Also the raptors had a very nice team. I know they were at different points in their career but if you put tmac christie billups and camby together in their prime that’s a nice team. And I assume Carter was on the team as well.

  • @vincespell
    @vincespell 2 года назад +1

    Now imagine giving that Raptor team more time to mature! You had speed and drive with McGrady. A soon to be NBA Champion with Chauncy Billups, Slam Dunk Champion in Dee Brown. A quality shooter and defensive guard in Doug Christie, 4x Block Leader and Defensive Player of the year Marcus Camby, along with John Wallace. Wow, what a basketball team. It was just a matter of having the right coach and that team would be one of the top teams to challenge after the Jordan Era!

This year was bringing in a whole new group of young hofrs and stars yet again Mike was cooking up. Doug Christie was one of the better defenders coming in this Era and Mike was torching that young man lol

    I’m glad both defense and missed shots were displayed in these clips. You have to remember these guys are professionals… taking 100s of shots, maybe 1000s a day. You leave them open they will shoot it in.
    It takes focus and hard work to make these guys make a mistake or miss.
