I’ve always seen it as Agamemnon instead of Hektor - if you read the Iliad, Hektor doesn’t actually want to fight Achilles in the end, and tries begging to get out of it (of course Achilles is to mad with grief to listen). Holy shit this is my favorite song. I didn’t even know about this cover until it autoplayed in my pocket, and I realized, “hey, the violin is different, is this a cover? WAIT, THATS ANNA!!!”
I super appreciate incorporating the speaking part underneath the music. I think it's really important and really what makes this song work. the Iilliad broke me and the duet part is Patroclus talking to him from beyond just makes me sob
Okay first, *seven minutes* of singing, technically longer since you had to sing both lines for the duet around four and half minutes in. If I could I'd give you standing ovation for that, easily. Second, god dammit how this song brings me to tears. Hearing a singer begging someone not to end their lives while that same person is forced to listen to their cruel inner thoughts berate them simply for existing, two voices fighting against each other until the singer can finally break through. Crazy powerful stuff. Thank you for covering this, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Not to mention the subtle, but powerful monologue which is sprinkled between the verses, which comes directly from the WW2 era french essay "The Myth of Sisyphus". The essay delves into the meaning of life, what drives one to suicide, and much, much more.
I wish i could somehow hold onto the way she says "you'll heal and you'll overcome," keep it saved in a bottle for all the rainy day and serve it to my friends when they're in their dark places.
You could use one of those websites that let you download yt videos as mp3 files, then edit it so that it's just that part and save it to your phone and play it for them.
I like how the song keeps going. There are like 3 spots with builds and climaxes where this song could have had a happy ending. But that's not how depression works and so that's not how this song goes.
Lyrics (I think I got it all-?) Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, come down Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof? You’re scaring us and all of us, some of us love you Achilles, it’s not much but there’s proof You crazy-assed cosmonaut, remember your virtue Redemption lies plainly in truth Just humour us, Achilles, Achilles, come down Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof? -I see that a lot of people die, because they think that life wasn't worth to be lived. I see others that are, paradoxically, killed for ideas, for illusions, that they give them a reason to live (this, that we call reason to live is at the same time an excellent reason to die) Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, come down Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof? The self is not so weightless, nor whole and unbroken Remember the pact of our youth Where you go, I’m going, so jump and I’m jumping Since there is no me without you Soldier on, Achilles, Achilles, come down Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof? Loathe the way they light candles in Rome But love the sweet air of the votives Hurt and grieve but don’t suffer alone Engage with the pain as a motive Today of all days, see How the most dangerous thing is to love How you will heal and you’ll rise above -About a manager that killed himself it was said that he had lost his daughter five years age, that he changed a lot after that and that this story had- Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, jump now You are absent of cause or excuse So self-indulgent and self-referential No audience could ever want you You crave the applause yet hate the attention Then miss it, your act is a ruse It is empty, Achilles, so end it all now It's a pointless resistance for you -What triggered the crisis is almost always uncontrollable. The newspapers often talk about « personal sorrow » or « untreatable disease ». These explanations are valid. But it should be known if the same day a friend of the desperate hasn't spoken to him with an indifferent tone. This one is the - Achilles, Achilles, just put down the bottle Don’t listen to what you’ve consumed It’s chaos, confusion and wholly unworthy Of feeding and it’s wholly untrue You may feel no purpose nor a point for existing It’s all just conjecture and gloom And there may not be meaning, so find one and seize it Do not waste yourself on this roof Hear those bells ring deep in the soul Chiming away for a moment Feel your breath course frankly below And see life as a worthy opponent Today of all days, see How the most dangerous thing is to love How you will heal and you’ll rise above Crowned by an overture bold and beyond Ah, it’s more courageous to overcome -The souvenirs of a lost country, the hope of a promised land. This divorce between the man of his life. You want the acclaim, the mother of mothers (It’s not worth it, Achilles) More poignant than fame or the taste of another (Don’t listen, Achilles) But be real and just jump, you dense motherfucker (You’re worth more, Achilles) You will not be more than a rat in the gutter (So much more than a rat) You want my opinion, my opinion you’ve got (No one asked your opinion) You asked for my counsel, I gave you my thoughts (No one asked for your thoughts) Be done with this now and jump off the roof (Be done with this now and get off the roof) Can you hear me, Achilles? I’m talking to you [Bridge] I’m talking to you I’m talking to you I’m talking to you Achilles, come down Achilles, come down Yes and no. That would be too easy. But we need the part of those that, without finishing, question anything. Here, I am being slightly ironic: It is about the vast majority. I equally want that those who answer no act as if they think yes. In fact- Throw yourself into the unknown With pace and a fury defiant Clothe yourself in beauty untold And see life as a means to a triumph Today of all days, see How the most dangerous thing is to love How you will heal and you’ll rise above Crowned by an overture bold and beyond Ah, it’s more courageous to overcome.
the sheer amount of effort that mustve gone into this cover in particular is insane, with seven whole minutes of the main voice, as well as the translated background, the dual plea to achilles at the end, mixing, and on top of that another amazing artwork for the cover. crazy props to Anna and Caleb here, this is WILD.
Come 18 days is my birthday. I like to think of it as a milestone as I didn't think I would ever make it this far. This song has travelled with me through this journey. In all honesty, it's been a while since I've heard it. So hearing your cover today has made me realize how far I've come. Your voice is so beautiful that not only does your voice and covers bring me to tears but the achievements and things I have done. Thank you Anna! I'm glad I' here today and I'm glad I can hear this cover! I hope you are doing well!
I love the warning at the start. It's really hard to break out of such terrible headspaces. I just wanted to comment that this song actually helps me break out of them if I find a handhold to sit up just a tiny bit enough to sing. The power and emotion is perfect for venting and channeling my suffering to belt out the pain. It at least pulls me up enough to go get help before I fall again. Helps my singing get better too so bonus points.
With a female vocalist I can't help but imagine this song being sung by Briseis, Achilles' captured bride. Who is not only hugely forgotten in a lot of modern discussions about the iliad, but is also the victim of vastly contradictory accounts from achilles in the iliad where he sometimes calls her his wife and other times refers to her like property. I can imagine the two voices in this song being both her, depending on which part of the Iliad is being drawn from.
Well, it's not that strange if we consider how they saw women... He could have both loved her and saw her as his property and got offended by Agamemnon taking her.
7 HOURS OF APPLAUSE WOULDNT BE ENOUGH TO CONVEY THE APPRECIATION I HAVE FOR YOU DOING THIS HOW IS IT SO PERFECT screaming crying throwing up rn it exceeded every expectation
There will never not be a cover Anna does that I will not fangirl over but this cover- this cover takes the cake. There is truly nothing Anna can’t do and this is evidence. Amazing work as always ❤
5:04 I started crying. I’ve loved this song so much, but the harmony you hit here completely transformed it into something transcendent. The original sounds like the singer is begging Achilles but unable to cut through the noise. Your cover, the singer transcends-cuts through all the noise-an angelic invocation that saves Achilles. In that moment, the voice plaguing Achilles disappears, and all he sees is her. The voice comes back, it’ll never leave him, but his childhood friend is an angel at his side, giving him the strength to continue the fight with her council and encouragement. I’ve been struggling really badly lately-trauma, chronic illness, and feelings of hopelessness. It’s hard to find motivation to continue fighting when you’ve done it for so long. It can feel like we’re meant to lose this war of attrition against life. The way you’ve sung the last verse of this returned some fire to my body-gave me the courage to try again. Thank you. So much. I can now say with complete truth that your music has changed my life.
this comment was worth screenshotting for my friend, its always so amazing to hear how people were struggling and have either won or are almost to the win, not because they struggle, but because of how strong they were. makes me feel like a proud mother for some reason...

Everytime I listen to this song, I always imagine Patroclus singing the positive parts and Hector singing the negative parts of the song, as for the French translation parts, I imagine it being Achilles stating facts of the world around him. I also love that in the end, they have different meanings of “come down from the roof” because Patroclus means “get off the roof safely” where Hector means “jump off of it”

i guess i never realized what the song was really about, but your voice, along with the french translation, made me really listen to the lyrics and realize what this song was about. i literally cried as i listened to this. i deal with thoughts of s-cide and i go through phases where i'm fine, but then i'm not. this literally came out just as i was exiting a phase of wanting to die, but being strong enough to overcome it. this song met me where i was, where i was both achilles and the singer. thank you for covering this song! it's definitely a favorite of mine, and even more so now! love your work as always!

The original is one of my favorite songs ever. So getting to hear you sing it brings me so much joy. It's like getting to rehear something for the first time.
I always loved this song since I discovered it, I never realized it was so dark. This is beautiful. It's like the person's guardian angel is pleading with them to not hurt themselves as it will destroy them as well.
I'm in an Existentialism class and in reading the material, I realized I'd heard it before: in the spoken words of this song. I hadn't known until taking this philosophy course that the spoken parts of Achilles Come Down come from Albert Camus' "on 'The Myth of Sisyphus'." Anna, thank you for translating the spoken lines into English, or I never would have realized. Gang of Youths did a great job and were very clever, but there's now something far more profound I've encountered thanks to this cover. Thank you, Anna. Your work continues to bring inspiration into my daily life. I wish you well.

When I saw you were posting this song, I CRIED! I cried even more while listening to it. I love this song SO much because it's so, so, SO hard ignoring that negative voice with depression just beating you down... My favorite lines were probably "no asked your opinion" and "noone asked for your thoughts". Idk why, I just thought it was cool how her voice sounded so certain and determined to block out the bad thoughts.
I just want to say that the timing of this cover was immaculate for my situation, I thank you greatly Anna. I listened to this four days after you uploaded this. Four days previously I was hit with a resurgence of suic*dal thoughts/prepping, something I thought I beat 7 almost 8 years ago… I know some of you guys don’t believe in God, but the timing of this cover’s release made me feel like he worked through you. I thank you again for that. I am better now, and I was reluctant to even leave a comment… but here we are. Without my faith I wouldn’t be here seven years later, without my faith I wouldn’t be hear anymore for almost a week. You have done Gang of Youth’s song a great justice as well, beautifully sung as you always do. I have been listening for about two and a half years now. And again, I thank you Anna from the entirety of my soul.
Remember that every day that you live through is a testament to your strength and endurance in the face of adversity. You are stronger than you think, and you deserve all the best in the world, my friend
This is a great cover. This cover is my spirit animal. I love that this personally got me. I'm in tears. This song saved me from the unthinkable. So the fact that there is a cover by you, Anna, makes my heart sing and dance melancholloly. I love this song/cover. In my mind, this is a conversation that Achillies and Patroclus have a few times in their lives. It's Patroclus begging Achillies to come down from the roof in his moments of desperation, instead of running off after Agamemnon takes Briseis he begs him to join the fight “see life as a worthy opponent”. I think the “remember the pact of our youth line makes it clear who is talking. This song saved me from committing a fourth suicide attempt. Saved my life. 🖤
The way this song talks about wanting to end it all and finding the strength to go on reminds me not just of some characters I’ve created, but also of myself who’s gone through severe depressive episodes and has had dark thoughts. You feel you can’t go on, like there’s no future, but something will come and do whatever they will to keep you from falling. And this song really captures how that feels.
Anna- I've had a HORRIBLE past few days, and Achilles come down has always been my go to comfort song. I just saw this pop up, and I can't tell you how amazing it felt to hear your take on a song this important to me. You made everything so much better, even if only for 7 minutes. Thank you SO MUCH
This is amazing and I really appreciate the translations of the French radio voices! You just brought a new element to the song that I hadn't realized was there.

I know im late but. I was suffering through depression and suicidal thoughts, yet this song brings me to tears and helps me everytime. I absolutely love this cover, thank you Anna! ❤
Magnificent, just magnificent. In the original song, the verse where Achillies' inner voice is goading him to jump never fails to give me chills. Anna did the impossible and managed to top just how chilling it sounds.

@@victoria_boba6157 In the version of Gang of youth ( check it out it's awesome!) there is a background in the french audiobook version fom one of Camus' books, in the author's own voice even. It's in french and I really love its inclusion.
God blessed me with ears to hear Anna sing.
I lost my brother to suicide a few years ago and when going through RUclips just trying to find a way to cope I found this song and it brought me to tears… this is really beautiful cover of a really beautiful song. Thank you Anna
So sorry for your loss. 🥺 It will get better.
god thats horrible. may he rest in peace.
“Come round men, women, children and folks of all ages…come all ye to hear the ballads sung by our muse and goddess of music, the mighty Anna!!!” 😭
Holy shit this is my favorite song. I didn’t even know about this cover until it autoplayed in my pocket, and I realized, “hey, the violin is different, is this a cover?
WAIT, THATS ANNA!!!”
I super appreciate incorporating the speaking part underneath the music. I think it's really important and really what makes this song work. the Iilliad broke me and the duet part is Patroclus talking to him from beyond just makes me sob
also if this isnt on spotify i will riot...
I’m a simple person… I see Anna and Achilles, I click
Truly your Achilles Heel ain't it.
Ditto
_Good gravy, seven minutes? This is like two songs in one._
WONDERFUL JOB ON THIS ANNA! YA NAILED IT!
Lyrics (I think I got it all-?)
Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, come down
Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof?
You’re scaring us and all of us, some of us love you
Achilles, it’s not much but there’s proof
You crazy-assed cosmonaut, remember your virtue
Redemption lies plainly in truth
Just humour us, Achilles, Achilles, come down
Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof?
-I see that a lot of people die, because they think that life wasn't worth to be lived. I see others that are, paradoxically, killed for ideas, for illusions, that they give them a reason to live (this, that we call reason to live is at the same time an excellent reason to die)
Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, come down
Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof?
The self is not so weightless, nor whole and unbroken
Remember the pact of our youth
Where you go, I’m going, so jump and I’m jumping
Since there is no me without you
Soldier on, Achilles, Achilles, come down
Won’t you get up off, get up off the roof?
Loathe the way they light candles in Rome
But love the sweet air of the votives
Hurt and grieve but don’t suffer alone
Engage with the pain as a motive
Today of all days, see
How the most dangerous thing is to love
How you will heal and you’ll rise above
-About a manager that killed himself it was said that he had lost his daughter five years age, that he changed a lot after that and that this story had-
Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, jump now
You are absent of cause or excuse
So self-indulgent and self-referential
No audience could ever want you
You crave the applause yet hate the attention
Then miss it, your act is a ruse
It is empty, Achilles, so end it all now
It's a pointless resistance for you
-What triggered the crisis is almost always uncontrollable. The newspapers often talk about « personal sorrow » or « untreatable disease ». These explanations are valid. But it should be known if the same day a friend of the desperate hasn't spoken to him with an indifferent tone. This one is the -
Achilles, Achilles, just put down the bottle
Don’t listen to what you’ve consumed
It’s chaos, confusion and wholly unworthy
Of feeding and it’s wholly untrue
You may feel no purpose nor a point for existing
It’s all just conjecture and gloom
And there may not be meaning, so find one and seize it
Do not waste yourself on this roof
Hear those bells ring deep in the soul
Chiming away for a moment
Feel your breath course frankly below
And see life as a worthy opponent
Today of all days, see
How the most dangerous thing is to love
How you will heal and you’ll rise above
Crowned by an overture bold and beyond
Ah, it’s more courageous to overcome
-The souvenirs of a lost country, the hope of a promised land. This divorce between the man of his life.
You want the acclaim, the mother of mothers
(It’s not worth it, Achilles)
More poignant than fame or the taste of another
(Don’t listen, Achilles)
But be real and just jump, you dense motherfucker
(You’re worth more, Achilles)
You will not be more than a rat in the gutter
(So much more than a rat)
You want my opinion, my opinion you’ve got
(No one asked your opinion)
You asked for my counsel, I gave you my thoughts
(No one asked for your thoughts)
Be done with this now and jump off the roof
(Be done with this now and get off the roof)
Can you hear me, Achilles? I’m talking to you
[Bridge]
I’m talking to you
I’m talking to you
I’m talking to you
Achilles, come down
Achilles, come down
Yes and no. That would be too easy. But we need the part of those that, without finishing, question anything. Here, I am being slightly ironic: It is about the vast majority. I equally want that those who answer no act as if they think yes. In fact-
Throw yourself into the unknown
With pace and a fury defiant
Clothe yourself in beauty untold
And see life as a means to a triumph
Today of all days, see
How the most dangerous thing is to love
How you will heal and you’ll rise above
Crowned by an overture bold and beyond
Ah, it’s more courageous to overcome.
This is my absolute favourite song, so glad you’re covering it!!
Perfect timing: I’m about to pick up my best friend and she loves this song so imma start playing it as soon as she comes in the car
Anna covering this song is a dream come true
the sheer amount of effort that mustve gone into this cover in particular is insane,
with seven whole minutes of the main voice, as well as the translated background, the dual plea to achilles at the end, mixing, and on top of that another amazing artwork for the cover.
crazy props to Anna and Caleb here, this is WILD.
As someone who has struggled with mental illness, this song has helped me through so much. Thank you for covering it Anna, much appreciated 💕
Anna has an inhuman ability to know everybody's music taste
Come 18 days is my birthday. I like to think of it as a milestone as I didn't think I would ever make it this far. This song has travelled with me through this journey. In all honesty, it's been a while since I've heard it. So hearing your cover today has made me realize how far I've come. Your voice is so beautiful that not only does your voice and covers bring me to tears but the achievements and things I have done.
Thank you Anna! I'm glad I' here today and I'm glad I can hear this cover!
I hope you are doing well!
I’m so happy for u that’s really amazing!!!
@@boing3053 thanks!
i’m proud of you and i’m glad you’re here!!! to many more years 🥂
@@skyeaurelliah9883 thanks! glad to be here! ^^
well done, you should be so, so proud of yourself. There are amazing things waiting for you out there!! :D
He could have both loved her and saw her as his property and got offended by Agamemnon taking her.
this is such an interesting take, thank you for broadening my horizon ^-^
Thank you. So much. I can now say with complete truth that your music has changed my life.
this comment was worth screenshotting for my friend, its always so amazing to hear how people were struggling and have either won or are almost to the win, not because they struggle, but because of how strong they were. makes me feel like a proud mother for some reason...
don't tell them it's Patroclus singing lol
@@sureindubitably3771 i've heard the original and know that achilles is gay. i'm talking about this cover specifically. bold of you to assume tho

One minute in and I got chills already. Anna is too good at singing, it’s simply not fair
"I'm talking to you" is my favorite part of the song and Anna did that part such justice. Such a fantastic cover 💜
Dudette, I love this song and it fits her voice so well!

OMG THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG!!! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE COVERING IT!
This song makes me wanna run into a forest and climb a tall as tree and sing this song with the birds 🥹, fantastic cover anna ur voice is quite an enchanting one
🎉🎉🎉Here's the 7 minutes of cheering as payment for your masterpiece Miss Anna 💗💗💗
Excellent work 👍
Everytime I listen to this song, I always imagine Patroclus singing the positive parts and Hector singing the negative parts of the song, as for the French translation parts, I imagine it being Achilles stating facts of the world around him.
I also love that in the end, they have different meanings of “come down from the roof” because Patroclus means “get off the roof safely” where Hector means “jump off of it”
I've actually been in a bad headspace, but this song always helps me out, and hearing one of my favorite singers sing this, is actually really helping me
Thank You Anna, this is truly a gift
I can't believe you're covering this song but so very glad that you did! I swear the moment I accidently discovered this song it's like I had a religious experience, best mistake of my life. I'm so excited to give this a listen later in the day.
Yeeesss! This song's been at the top of my Spotify Rewind for the last three years. And you even translated the French parts!
i guess i never realized what the song was really about, but your voice, along with the french translation, made me really listen to the lyrics and realize what this song was about. i literally cried as i listened to this. i deal with thoughts of s-cide and i go through phases where i'm fine, but then i'm not. this literally came out just as i was exiting a phase of wanting to die, but being strong enough to overcome it. this song met me where i was, where i was both achilles and the singer. thank you for covering this song! it's definitely a favorite of mine, and even more so now! love your work as always!
WAIT WOAH WHAT i love this song with my whole heart and anna made A COVER???!!! welp here goes my entire life, devoting it to this masterpiece 😭💕
This keeps playing on my Spotify while I'm trying to listen to the Saga albums of Epic: the musical, idk what it makes me feel but it's something 😅. Your voice is beautiful and the song tugs at my heartstrings.
This song truly gives me the courage to carry on, and this version just warms the heart even more... Love it!
It's taken me way too long to completely listen to this song. I hadn't listened to this song before, but I always listen to your covers. It took many attempts to just get through this cover without crying. I don't know if it had been days or less before this cover was released that I tried to end it all. Having this cover release just a few days later while I was still in a depressive state of mind feels like it's speaking directly to me and I think it's genuinely helped me get through this rut. I can finally appreciate your singing in this cover and can get through it, and I'm grateful I'm here to be able to listen to it and all of your covers and future covers! Thank you for being an artist I can always look forward to listening to
HECK YEAH I LOVE THIS SONG
WHEN I TELL YOU MY JAW DROPPED AT THIS NOTIFICATION
YOUVE MADE MY WEEK, ANNA ❤❤❤
I love how Anna puts her own twists on the songs she covers, she literally slays so hard. Also shes so considerste of mental health ❤️
I WAS IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG TSYM THANK YOU I LOVE YOU!
oh my lord, I love this song! Also, can we appreciate not only the singing, but also the warning at the beginning as well as, what I assume to be, the English translation of the originally french spoken lines. Thank you Anna!
I love how gentle your voice gets at times in the song, really invoking that aspect of reaching out to someone with grace and kindness.
This song made me find Achilles' story and I fell in love with it. This songs brings me such comfort through terrible times. I appreciate you covering it. ^^
Man, when I added the request to the community post for Anna to cover “Achilles, Come Down” I didn’t think anything would actually come of it, but I’m so happy to see that it saw the light of day ! 😆 Awesome cover🔥🔥🇬🇷
OH MY GOD YOU EVEN TRANSLATED THE FRENCH PARTS, THIS IS AWESOME
This cover shook me to my core in a way the original didn’t. There's such raw power and imagery in this and your voice. I cant stop listening to it and it's deeply affirming
I’m just gonna listen to this on repeat for a while, don’t mind me.
When I first came across this, I was *amazed.* I’m literally shaking right now. You don’t understand how much I needed this
Can we all just appreciate the beautiful art that we get to look at as we listen to Anna's angelic voice!
When I saw you were posting this song, I CRIED! I cried even more while listening to it. I love this song SO much because it's so, so, SO hard ignoring that negative voice with depression just beating you down... Your voice is amazing, and hearing you sing this song in particular just fills my heart all over again. I know it's a weighty song, but, thank you! Genuinely. Thank you for singing this. ❤🩹
7 minutes of Anna=Seven minutes in heaven.
I love this song thank you so much ❤️✨
Don’t even find the words to say how stunningly beautiful this is
Feels like my soul was cleansed a bit with this song. Cathartic in a way I wasn't expecting.
This is one of my favorite songs! Thank you so much for singing it!!
kept playing this on loop when the youtube topic version came out yesterday--will happily clap for 7 minutes straight in return for anna delivering these magnifique vocals!! just *_chef's kiss_* 🥹👌
WOOOOO WE GOT A FULL COVER!!!!! This is one of my favorite songs! Ty ty ty for doing a cover of it
My favorite lines were probably "no asked your opinion" and "noone asked for your thoughts". Idk why, I just thought it was cool how her voice sounded so certain and determined to block out the bad thoughts.
EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I think I find a cool niche song, then Anna does a cover of it and makes it 100x better
Did I sob the entire time...? Yes. Yes I did. 😭😭😭 I needed this so bad, love you Anna!
This has been my favourite song for years! I'm so glad you've decided to cover it :-)
why is your voice so soothing
This song gives me to strength to save my life, I'm a broken warrior and I didnt want to do it all alone anymore, but now I'm crying with gratitude.
Tiempo fuera, tengo que ir a cambiarme el outfit por uno estilo dark academia y escuchar a esta diosa cantar.
Tu voz está hermosa 💖 💖💖💖💖💖💖
I don't normally like covers of this particular song, but I can definitely let this one slide. Anna, you just never miss!
i'm french and i really love how you translate the french parts, your covers are all incredible ! thanks for all
The way this song talks about wanting to end it all and finding the strength to go on reminds me not just of some characters I’ve created, but also of myself who’s gone through severe depressive episodes and has had dark thoughts. You feel you can’t go on, like there’s no future, but something will come and do whatever they will to keep you from falling. And this song really captures how that feels.
I will never in my life get over how amazingly gorgeous your voice is. You've done an absolutely wonderful job, you deserve eons of applause.
Anna- I've had a HORRIBLE past few days, and Achilles come down has always been my go to comfort song. I just saw this pop up, and I can't tell you how amazing it felt to hear your take on a song this important to me. You made everything so much better, even if only for 7 minutes. Thank you SO MUCH
This is one of my favorite Sonny’s and you did it justice 👏👏👏 but let’s be real, the sneak peek short killed us all
CRYING SCREAMING CLAPPING AND SOBBING FOR 7 HOURS BECAUSE OF THIS SONG
THANK YOU ANNAAAAA
This is amazing and I really appreciate the translations of the French radio voices! You just brought a new element to the song that I hadn't realized was there.
I'm glad you kept the fragments from Camus' Myth of Sisyphus, they are about 50% of why I love this song
1:52 that note. GORGEOUS.
I am greek and the only thing i can say is-
THAT YOUR VOICE IS A LITERAL BLESSING TO MY EARS
I'm currently grieving for someone.
This song brought out all my emotions with brute force, your singing touched my soul and heart and your work is impeccable
This song’s background music alone just scratches my brain so perfectly, Anna your beautiful voice makes it so much more magical 😖🫶
To be frank, I would also be proud as hell at myself if I would conjure up a video like this with this length.
Like, any other singer or videomaker would sound cocky if they would want to have a 7 minutes of applause.
But we're talking about you. So yeah, you deserve it. 👏👏👏
Holy SHIT, this is GORGEOUS. I don’t think seven minutes of applause is nearly enough!
Anna this has literally always been one of the most beautiful songs ever, and you did justice. This is so heartfelt and I couldn't ask for anything better from you!!!
You have one of the most beautiful and powerful voices ive ever heard thank you for posting the videos you do and sharing your voice with the world
