The view from your living room is absolutely breathtaking and your tulips are beautiful. I Love all your videos
Shaye, I loved seeing all the homeschooling paraphernalia on your table! Oh, how I miss the days of paint pots, crayons, glitter glue and construction paper! You brought that memory all back! Cherish these times with your kids! Mine went soooo very fast! My own kids are grown and gone now, my grandchildren are in college and I hardly ever see my loved ones! But I am thankful for the times I had with all of them and these memories I hold on too!
I love the idea of ambling around the property and taking note of things to be thankful for. I tend to be very task oriented, especially this time of year, so this is great encouragement. Thanks!
Ahh ❤ rhubarb curd would be so delicious right now, just on its own or topping a cheesecake
Looks like you got some new furniture….can’t wait for another one of your spring cleaning episodes. Love it!
Rhubarb yogurt has been my fave lately, so maybe I will make this curd to add it to some vanilla or plain Greek yogurt! 😁
"Things are happening just as they should. In the time just as they should." ❤
Spring is here in central Texas. Zone 8b and we harvested all our onions and garlic.
I absolutely love listening to your podcast and enjoy all your recipes! Vanilla cupcakes with a little pocket of rhubarb curd in the middle is delicious!
Greetings from Ireland. I am a new subscriber. I have becoming so discouraged by our cold and wet weather here and Spring is slow to arrive. This video has given me the motivation to go outside my own property and do the same. We have so many things to be thankful for. Thank you.
I love your videos; they are so calming!! My favorite activity at the end of the day, right as the sun is setting, is to walk around my garden. The bees have gone to sleep for the night, the snake is in his hiding hole waiting for the sun to come back out, and the plants are drinking in the cooler air. It's such a magical time to assess, dream, and relax the day away.
You are a great motivator. I am from India,, this year the summer has been scorching,, but I was grateful for the heat ,, surprised ,, that’s how I am ,, I enjoy each season as it comes,, in this heat ,, it’s amazing to see how the flowers bloom,, Bougainville,, jasmines ,, hibiscus with many colours,, and I find you the same ,, I love watching you,,
Oh my word ... where has this recipe been all my life! This is SO GOOD! I stopped the video and made it immediately, now I need to go pick more rhubarb so I can make more. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤩
Loved seeing the homeschooling, brings back memories.
Thanks for the video. I was just talking to a friend today about trying to be more thankful and less grumbling about all the work we have here around our little homestead. I'm trying to be thankful for the ability and space ro grow our food.
Bring them back never stop trying for honey❤
Thank you Shaye ❤
Dear Shaye… you are a Culinary Queen… 👑 and we ALL cherish these magical visits to your Castle ✨
I write my journal in my sitting area in my garden during the growing season.
Oh that was lovely. So enjoy a stroll to be thankful. That’s is so important to do.
Yummy yummy rhubarb. I am from Canada but live in Spain now and if there is two things I miss from my home land it is the snow and rhubarb. You made my day!!! Life so different here but genuinely beautiful also. Keep those lovely videos coming. So much enjoy them !! Hugs from the Mediterranean!!
That chaise that Georgia is sitting on is so perfect right there!
My first visit with you. So pleasant. I was excited to see that you were doing something with Rhubarb for one, and that you are in Washington for two. We are in the Puget Sound area. Ruby Red Rhubarb is my favorite. I have never tried rhubarb curd before. Honestly, I went straight for the vanilla ice cream when you gave suggestions. What a wonderful time of peacefulness your videos offer. I will enjoy getting to know your website as well. Thank you!
Rhubarb has always been one of the very first joys of spring. My mother's secret ingredient that seems to enhance everything she ever made with rhubarb is nutmeg. Maybe you would like to add that to your next batch and see if you agree.
Thank you taking us on a tour of your property the trees are beautiful. Here in Minnesota the trees are halfway opening. Our rhubarb is just starting to come up. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe I can't wait to try it. I am also excited to try it with the honey that was gifted from nearby town. As always, you always make things so delicious and such a master at your skill of culinary.
I scones, sourdough toast, slice strawberries and whipped cream
Thank you for this recipe and tutorial. I will make this as-is and then try it on some lemon cardamom ice cream from a local shop here in Wisconsin. I can't wait!
I loved this video! Thank you for reminding us to take it easy and be thankful for the things that we already have! A good reminder ❤
I love to make pavlova and top with unsweetened whipped cream, rhubarb curd, and pistachios.
I am glad God has blessed you so much. I too thank Him everyday for everything He is doing for my family and for this world. Continued Blessings from the Lord.
Love your videos and farm. So relaxing
I have a recipe from Cafe Beaujolais 'Morning Food' cookbook called Rhubarb Glop. It has a bit of fresh ginger in it which pairs so well with rhubarb. My favorite way to eat is spooned liberally over plain Greek yogurt and sprinkled with homemade granola. My grandmother grew it and always made a cobbler for my birthday, knowing it's my favorite. Thanks for another beautiful video. Cheers!
It sounds like you had lovely weather since all the trees are doing so well,
Time to pick my rhubarb and try making rhubarb curd! Thank you for sharing!
I think serving it over fresh cut strawberries and biscuits or a shortcake then a dollop of whipped cream would be great! Have a blessed day.
I grew rhubarb this year and its growing very nice. Yesterday I was thinking what should i do with this and I just see your video. Thanks. I am going to try it.
I really miss Wenatchee...best time in my life..some day might return ❤
nice message...we all need to give ourselves grace and be thankful! There will ALWAYS be tasks to be done! Enjoy life!! 🌻
Just gorgeous! You and your landscape look amazing! Thanks for sharing your love for your family and lifestyle with us…
I really loved seeing some of your garden. That curd looks amazing, my rhubarb isn’t big enough for harvesting this year, but next year I need to remember to try this recipe. I think it would be delicious as a filling in a layer cake, topped with strawberries and whipped cream.
Your property is georgous !! Being a southerner rubarb is not something I grew up eating. But I did get to taste and enjoy a rubarb crumble when I met a lady from Illinois ! It was sooo good !!
I loved this video..especially the hug. I don't grow rhubarb..honestly haven't eaten much of it other than strawberry rhubarb pie. However this has me intrigued.
Beautiful video.
If you do not establish another bee hive, consider a bee box (also known as a bug hotel). It’s a nice structure in the garden and invites little pollinators to stay. 🙏🐝❤️
You are looking exta gorgeous in this video, Shay!
I cant get past the scenery out your living room window..what a view.
She really does.
Just this morning when I was feeling chaotic and restless I thought of making a gratitude list after having breakfast. And I was sipping tea and saw ur gratitude video I instantly felt gud ❤❤
Thank you for sharing your recipe. This will be my first year growing rhubarb. I’ve seen it many times before on youtube UK gardeners
thanksgiving so important as can help us be resilient and buoyant in even the most challenging times, so thank you for sharing your garden gratitudes. Oh my what blossom on those cherry trees! Love this recipe, we've just planted 100 rhubarb in our market garden and after this recipe for sure some of it in years to come will be taken for this purpose, Rhubarb Curb. Yummmmmmmyyyyy! I would eat it on its own I feel sure. or with raspberries from the freezer.
Hello from North Carolina! I see a 2-3 tiered strawberry short cake with rhubarb curd and whipped cream layers. yum!
Really appreciate the raw video!
That looks so amazing. We’d probably eat it with milk. I have never made curd but I make a slightly thickened rhubarb without the butter annd egg and we love it with milk and cream and sometimes chocolate cake. I make all things rhubarb because it’s the first thing from my garden. Now we are just starting with strawberries so bye bye rhubarb. But I do want to try the curd. Thanks. I was taught to cut the leaves off in the garden and leave them by the plant. I have never had any animal sick or poisoned.
No apologies needed about the video! I loved the grateful vibe of it- thank you! Now I want to make some rhubarb curd. 😋
I loved this style of blog so much!! Take us around with you.
My family has made a rhubarb pudding. Ours has tapioca in it. My grandmother made the best. It was sweet but tart at the same time. We poured Half and Half over it. Down the bowl and want more. Thanks Joyce
I processed rhubarb today too, here in zone 5b! I chopped and bagged it for the freezer, and made 6 loaves of cinnamon rhubarb bread! Thanks for this recipe- I've always made citrus curds, but this is a new one for me!
I've been looking for rhubarb, and none of the stores near me carries it yet. I need to find a source. I just planted some, but it will be a year or two before it grows large enough. Thank you for the inspiration.
The rhubarb curd sounds and looks delicious. I've never made it before but I may very well have to try it.
Perfect timing with the Rhubarb recipe! I wish my strawberries were going at the same time since those are my fav together! I’ll have to try this out - I bet my family would love it over vanilla ice cream
Love this! Always a good idea to count our blessings! Thanks for the reminder Shaye :) ...and now I want rhubarb curd!!
Everything you make looks beautiful! I can almost taste it. I haven't had rhubarb in years being I live in florida. I love a good rhubarb crumble or bars. Your lovely custard would be heaven over a scoop of lemon sorbet.
Full fat Greek vanilla yogurt ❤️
Cherry blossom tea is phenomenal. Brew a pot if you get a chance. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks!! Can’t wait to make this!
I’d marble that into a coffee cake! Yum!
Another beautiful video! Thanks for the inspiration to take some time to just wonder through my garden really seeing the beauty, and all I have to be grateful for…including some rhubarb that I will gather to make this cud!
Thank you , Shaye 🥰 This was so peaceful and beautiful to watch . I have rhubarb coming in for the first time this year and am going to make this. It was a joy to see your family and farm animals. My hope is to have my place leaning to look similar , just not the animals . I will continue to get those products from my local farms. I feel 65 is not the best for starting that part of farming. But chickens , yes :) . I was thinking if you layered the rhubarb with lemon curd and maybe baked it with a meringue topping ☺❤Love to you all , Kathryn
Thank you for sharing your thankful Spring as well as the wonderful Rhubarb recipe, which I'm going to make this week, as our rhubarb is almost ready. Lots to do in Spring, bu also so much to enjoy, we just have to take the time to not let it slip away. Blessings from Montana
🤎 LOVE 🤎🤎🤎 THE ELLIOT HOMESTEAD 🤎LOVE FROM MONICA ( NORWAY )🇳🇴
Your videos are so lovely Shaye. Did you know you can use rhubarb leaves to brew homemade pestdecide
I love rhubarb and that recipe sounds delicious!!!
I needed this video ❤
Yes, there is so much to be thankful for. The rhubarb is just starting to be ready, maybe another week. I picked a few small pieces to make bread with tonight.
I will be making curd next week, super excited to try. Thank you for the recipe, have a good week😊
I love your view, we do have a lot to be thankful for. Do you eat purslane?
Thankyou ❤
Cheers. I love your channel. Loved the view from your living room and also your plates in your diswasher. Reminds me of my childhood.
Gonna have to go out back and harvest my rhubarb now :)
Cheers from eastern Washington!
Thank you for that recipe, I was just thinking what to do with my rhubarb this year. Do you ever store that curd the way you do with jams, is that even possible?
Always a good video! Thanks.
Lovely video!
Oh yummy, we are going into winter here in South Africa but when spring comes round and I can pick my Rhubarb i am definitely going to make this for the family. I would pair it with some plain Yoghurt. Thank you and so good to see you.
Hi! Greetimgs from Spain.
Can you eat ther uibsrbd when the stemd are still green?
Lovely video. (Also: totally digging the glasses.)
I loved it. Thank you.
I really need to know what song this is in the video! It's giving me all kinds of early 2000s/garden state soundtrack vibes.
Pretty sure that would be amazing as a yogurt topping for breakfast.
Looks wonderful! I don't grow rhubarb but I did just make your miso salad dressing and it is delicious! Thanks for sharing.😊
You look so pretty in that green. Love your videos!
We live in South Ga. and I don't think we even have rhubarb. I have never seen.
Beautiful! I like to use rhubarb sauces in Eton Mess, and your curd would be perfect!
Looks amazing. I just picked a batch of Rhubarb today as well. Made two Rhubarb pies. It has always been my favorite!
I'd probably eat it straight. Maybe on top of vanilla ice cream?
😍😍😍😍😍wow nice video 😍😍😍😍
AMEN!
Loved your cherry blossom trees, did not know you were blessed with them, did you guys plant all of them or were they on the property when you purchased it? Very relaxing video..
It’s the neighboring farm next to their property.
We have no idea what rhubarb even tastes like here in Florida, but I’m imagining a sweet tart with that recipe. We make lemon curd though because Florida 😊☀️🍋
It's like a very sour celery. It's really good.
Hey, I am a Seahawks fan too1
I love the texture of the way you make it but I'm too lazy, I run my rhubard through the juicer, simmer the juice down a little to concentrate the flavor, then make a curd.
I have never had Rhubarb in my whole 43 years! Being from Oklahoma and living in Texas, it just doesn't grow down here :( I'm really curious as to what it's like though!
Please get new bees, give them another go! I have bees for 3 years and I can say that I cannot see my garden without them anymore. Love your videos
I’m so happy to see the milk cow pregnant!!
Maybe serve it with Crepes
How do you homeschooling😮😮😮???, please show us, I want to learn more about resources and tools for it ❤
Rhubarb and strawberries in a pie.
