  • If you want to only see the marching, then watch this video:
    • US Navy Hospital Corps...
    On July 28, 2021, USA Navy Hospital Corpsmen Class 135 graduated after 5 months of training.
    Watch their cadence as they march to their graduation in Fort Sam Houston.
    About 20% of the US Navy is female, so you may be wondering why around 80% of Class 135 was female.
    Answer: random luck.
    The Corpsman rate (HM) is mostly men, but this particular class, through some random fluke, was disproportionately female.
    Some of the songs they chant while marching are funny.
    The US Navy Corpsman is the most decorated position in the US military. They not only serve in Navy hospitals (both on land and at sea), but they also provide all the medical needs of the US Marines Corps. Thus, they are embedded in almost every Marine operation.

    As a fleet returnee going back to an A school, I'd let the baby sailors take any n all the leadership roles.

      @@runnin_myles8098 you can try for SARC after you are done with your A-School and their will be other HM instructors who can point you to the right direction on doing so.

    Why do some sailors have 3 stripes while others have no stripes

      I’m sure it’s associated with rank! E2 have two stripes and e3 have three stripes. These are referring to rank. Some enter the navy with different ranks depending on what skills, education they have coming in.

      ROTC and/or college. You can earn rank while training.

    after A school, where do HMs usually get stationed?

    • @ftapon
      @ftapon  Год назад +1

      There's a good chance fresh HM grads will go to a big Navy hospital on shore for two year and then do sea duty for 2 more years after that. However, there are PLENTY of exceptions. Some go overseas (e.g., Cuba, Japan, Europe), some go to the Marines, and some go directly on a ship. As usual, it depends on the needs of the Navy! ;)
