not all of us co-op phantoms hate invaders. I mainly do co-op because I'd rather help than harm people, but I like the challenge invaders provide
I love watching chase be good at pvp and think to myself "I could do that!" and then when I play pvp I immediately die in a 3-v-1 with all three teabagging me
Just level out of the 139 bracket, I primarily co-op on a 137 Int build and 175 Arc/Faith and honestly people are super bad in the 150+ range. The min range on 175 is basically 150 and the number of times I get summoned for Fire Giant and the host gets 1-shot at like 1000-1100 health almost makes me want to stop playing so I hop back to my 137

the elden ring pvp experience at the moment is certainly something... DLC will make pvp better for sure
you just got to practice, 3v1's are hard to handle when you got a mage spam casting, another moonveil spammer and a guy rushing you the whole time.

Hey Chase. I just wanted to say I only started watching you about 3 months ago after have just finished 400 hours and 3 journeys in Elden Ring - my first souls game. Not only have I been impressed with your playing, but what impressed me most was your humbleness and etiquette during play. You keep a higher standard on how online multiplayer should be. Even though there is no voice chat in Elden Ring, your clean, good-sportsmanlike conduct is refreshing and encouraging. Your parents should be proud of you.

13:52 I have to say, there's at least one good bow kill every video, and it always makes me happy every time it happens.
Recently had to stop using this bow in invasions, those arrows are impossible to get if you don't use third party tools so it feels unfair to the hosts since they're balanced around being incredibly rare. They do more damage than any other arrow + have a huge AOE that does the same amount of damage as a direct hit.
you get them at like 2% drop chance from the golems...

also the drop rate is not 2%. it's 5%, and you get 5 of them at a time. so in fact the rate is 12.5 times more common than you seem to think. it takes about 30 seconds per run from the first site of grace in altus plateau, and on average it takes 20 runs for a drop, so that's 10 minutes for a drop on average, but you get 5 at a time, so it's more like 2 minutes per arrow. which means on average it takes an hour to get 30 arrows. and those are the base rates - before factoring in discovery. you'll obviously be doing this with whatever discovery boosting items you have available, so that makes it even faster.

In fact, I think you proved my point, one hour of grinding for a stack of arrows that you can easily run out of in a single invasion is absolutely ridiculous.

The phantom was likely jumping down to make sure that incase Chase decides to jump down, they can help the host. Remember protecting your host is your number one priority.

@@ghostering8I know what you mean but I do want to say how DS2 doesn't have a kick. It has a upward backhanded slap instead. Of which was actually a better guard break than the kick. Though with less range I'm pretty sure.
As a Millicent cosplay invader, I love the shamshir. At first I was a claymore only fan, but I've since branched out into this singular curved sword and have been enjoying it a lot.

Yeah this honestly happens more then it should in elden ring. If someone hits you while you land a crit, if you begin to dodge and get pulled back into the crit (like here 12:22) it results in no damage. Its pretty unfortunate because it didnt happen often in ds3

Hey Chase, you always ask for suggestions and I've got one for you: I'm fairly new to Elden Ring and I really love the Scythe and Grave Scythe. Could you do a video really maximizing those two weapons, really show off their strengths? I think it'd be a lot of fun to see how maxed out you can make them.
For the normal scythe you'd want to do a dexterity build and if you keen infuse the scythe it'll have an A scaling for dexterity and the grave scythe is more quality so strength and dexterity equal amounts it'll get a b scaling for both if you quality infuse it.
I can't be the only one who is so excited to see invasions play out in the new DLC area... It's gonna be so fun.

From forgetting to set up or even check his physick most videos to unconsciously drinking it on spawn-in and not even realizing he's done it, our boy Chase sure has come a long way 🥹
With you on the still missing kicks as a core ability instead of an AoW. I can get that it effectively just meant that using a shield in high-level PvP was mostly unviable and that it punished PvE coop players who used shields and got invaded by a sweatlord. But it was such a great tool FOR PvE players to use against humanoid enemies that idk if removing it really helped more than it hurt. Maybe it does, given how much more diverse enemies are in ER and how few of them are humanoid enemies with shields. It certainly could be annoying to f up an input and kick instead of what you wanted to do, too, but the kick is just so iconic. Kicking enemies and AFK players off ledges was so great, and it was a nice tool to have even if it wasn't always necessary.
Plus, what, did the tarnished just forget entirely that your legs can kick even if you're not holding a magical weapon imbued with the power of LEG?

You've really improved your technique. I'm hoping you revisit weapons you've done before. Like Lucerne, the basic Twinblade, and the Lordsworn Greatsword. I've been enjoying the Twinblade with Blood tax I use the poison affinity,, Shard of Alexander, Lord of Rots Exultation, rotten wing sword insignia and Millicent prosthesis. I'm level 530 but I know you could do it better.

Prying Wedge on the Followers curved sword & Find Weakness on the Corvian Great Dagger were my 2 favorite weapon skills in ds3 I hope we get great daggers again 😂

In DS3, the Sword Dance Weapon Art was good at breaking guard because it had a guard break effect in that game.
Put the Lightning Ram AoW on it and call it the *Ramshir* build.

Elden ring has a lot of weapons that can have a lot of pressure and mixups. However, one of the best ways to generate pressure are status effects due to the nature of pvp. Because of this, a weapon like st trina's torch can generate a lot of pressure with sleep
it's kind of funny that the shamshir is better on heavy infusion than keen (though, lighting is the best for the weapon, imo)
How long does it typically take you to invade? My near and far invasions can take up to 15 minutes :/ Also hi Chase!

You're at the wrong level
You can only invade down to 90% of your level and can invade up to 1.1x+20, I believe this truncates as 139 still hits 125. Co-op on my 137 is incredibly fast compared to my 175 for example, not to mention I die inside just a little more every time my 175 gets summoned for Fire Giant and the host has less than 1500 HP when at minimum they're level 150
Also can try toggling between recusant and bloody.
Chase could you do a bleed invasion that utilizes Mogh's great rune?

Are you a mind reader? Last night (Europe time, so around 12hrs ago) I was deciding if I go Dismounter with sword dance or spinning slash for my invasions. Could not decide so got two to softswap around mid fight lol

For a fun build try 2 misaricord daggers with hoarfrost stomp with cold status. You will get frost proc on 2nd hit most times. back stabs will be one shots.

How do you use so many builds? Like saved data that you go to and re-scale the character?
Pretty much. I haven't done it myself, but it basically goes like this. You grab at least 1 larval tear, put it in your chest, and save that file to the cloud. Put the larval tear in your inventory again, download the cloud file, and the game glitches into saying you have 2 larval tears. Repeat this process whenever you want more larval tears. I believe you can repeat this with any item in the game.
Low-Key surprised you didn't use the Charged Attack => Backstep Cancel move. If you're good at spacing (which, you're Chase.) then it can catch people off guard when they're trying to aggress into what they think is a poorly timed Charged Attack. Curved Swords really did get a lot of cool moves baked in.
Oh, and St Trina's Torch or Chase is scared to learn of his new favorite weapon, lol!

Blue is good practice, but you’re often late to the party.
It’s difficult to get a fair fight when you outnumber your enemy too.
I’d suggest the arena as a starting point.
That said, I do like to have blue on while levelling up a new character. Just for fun.
Good plan. I am almost done with my first playthrough at LV80, having got past the fire giant. I might level this character to 120 and keep it dex arcane and then start a new playthrough with strength int for the DLC. @@kiltysalter2966

Not sure where the 88 poise number is from, when i check the calculator it says your need 73 armor poise to tank the 2 hit of a 2h curved sword if you're using the Bull Goat Talisman, if not well then you need to wear the entire Bull Goat set.

How do you keep stocked on golem greatarrows? Do you get them duped, or do you have someone locked in a dungeon farming the grand lift for 15 arrows a day?
