Ice spear ash can deal incredible damage. It scales the best to dexterity, so putting it on a keen guardian's swordspear basically gives you a cannon.
Easily buffed with magic damage boosting gear like the spellblade set or magic cracked tear.

Dark Moon Greatsword is now my favorite weapon, I've been playing around with it a lot. It works great with a staff in the offhand, allows for more versatility, while the greatsword allows for ranged magic damage that doesn't cost fp per swing
This dude had the entire menu up like he was ordering fast food @ 18:14 “hmm do I have anything with quickstep?” And he still avoided an incoming attack. Lol I want to learn how to do this!

My PvP game has gotten way better, mainly by watching chase's vids. I love how giddy he gets when other players use his tactics and there's an actual fight to be had

More Moonlight Gretsword would be great. Both of it's running attacks can combo into Carian Slicer at any cast speed!

nice, my battlemage character uses that set, but with the chest swapped for eccentric's armor, mostly cuz i like the look, with darkmoon and glintstone kris xD
i'd also recommend attuning Loretta's Greatbow or Cannon of Haima and a decent staff for this build, both have ludicrous range and very high damage with the right talismans, great for poking campers from long range

The deaths poker line of flame is not easy to land, but when it does it hits like a freight train. I had missed people but they walked into it and were just deleted.
it's even better against bosses, any of the ones that come at you from across the arena walk straight into it. you can lay it down twice for double burn if you time it right, very effective vs Erdtree avatars
@@rigg4146 Yeah for sure, in PVE the weapon is just a bit op imo :). Its not that hard to land. I am not really good at the game, but i can do it even with the fastest dodgers of bosses.
I know the bad reputation Greatshields have, but you should try Two-Handing the Fingerprint Stone Shield! I've been trying it, and it's very fun being up in everyone's face, waiting for them to slip up while I hold up THE WALL!

light roll is brutal with spam-able weapons cause they feel they have to pressure you

fire giant invasion was dirty bro
Ahhh! Really kept teasing the baby rattle flail in this one lmao. it really does do a ton of damage, and if you're doing it as a surprise with a swap or around a corner (it covers a lot of distance, too, and the aoe is huge) it'll usually hit the person with the attack itself and then roll catch them with the nebula explosion*
It can also work as cover for a quick spell from the offhand when they can't see you well
*might depend on how early in the AoW the person is hit, and their propensity towards panic
Pretty amazing, that Elden Ring allows for boss fight invasions. I mean it's such a contrast omg. Obviously there are good reasons for "fog walling an invader" mechanic. But it's refreshing as hell to invade into an actual boss fight.
Phantom simply runs to the left and happens to avoid two attacks most definitely on accident

It's multiplicative, not additive
I stare at a lot of numbers when doing the build prep and i for some reason just said 10% lmao but yes its 8%. Although they technically stack multiplicatively so its a little more realistically.

Ice spear on a cold claymans harpoon is totally OP and benefits also from the spellblade set. Cold is better than a magic infusion because both scales with intelligence and dex then.
When using some buffs it can damage in PVEr more than 4000 a cast. I also oneshot people with it in pvp.

The equipment description doesn't seem very accurate. How exactly is Ghostflame Ignition a glintstone sorcery skill? Hmm, wondering if it's still worth it to go spellblade set if it's only 8%? I'm asking, I really don't know.

Bloodboon ritual ash of war with Mogh's spear also does magic dmg, does it count tho🤔
Now I am curious, does it boost Sword of Night and Flame on both special attacks, or only the beam? Because isn't that supposed to be a good weapon as well?

Hey Chase try out Greathorn Hammer with Cold Affinity, it scales B/C with Strenght/Dex only so no INT needed. Has crazy cold build up Powerstanced and nice fast jump attacks❤

How are you able to swap weapons/armor mid-fight? I plan on getting Elden Ring on PC and I've looked at the PC controls, which as someone who is used to a controller seems intimidating...
I actually just use a standard ps5 controller. I played all the prior souls games on controller so im far to accustom to the controls to use keyboard now lol
