@@ChaseTheBro The most cursed spawns you can imagine. Some of them are genuinely hilarious. You'll just casually show up in places that are both physically impossible to reach and leave.

Been working all summer haven’t had time to start a new playthrough of ER, ur videos are truly making me so hyped to play through this DLC in August or September
Just started watching your videos and I appreciate that you are generally cheery and understand that you're supposed to be at a disadvantage as the invader instead of being salty about it. Now if we can only get more hosts who don't mind invasions we can realize world peace.
For me, the Black Steel Greathammer, Fire Knights Greatsword and Queelign’s Greatsword were the best things to come out of the DLC. Infusible elemental weapons just slap, I wish there were more overall in the game than there are
Also, the little PvP clips added when talking about the weapons are a cool addition, they made me think about a cool concept that you'd definitely be good at : imagine an AoW showcase focused on the current "meta" ones but instead of being entirely focused on their usage, you talk about their best counters. Let's take Swift Slash for exemple (since it's the current poison we have to endure), i'd be super interested to see how you'd deal with it in different situations (against ganks, 1v1s, using shields or not, etc).
Black steel great hammer true combos with the guard counter into r1 if you are able to hit the initial attack along with the aoe. Only works if the enemy’s poise is low enough, however, the damage is so high that the guard counter r1 combo one shots for 2100hp To get the most out of the weapons AR without losing out on the damage of the guard counter aoe affect. You can run 54 strength and 50 faith, combo’d with the order blade incantation using the godslayer seal, black steel hammer infused with heavy. The AR you get will be 1126, with golden vow 1384. The damage in PvP of the aoe effect of the guard counter is 500dmg, the full guard counter hit and aoe is 1300-1500dmg. Regular r1s hit anywhere from 720 damage, to 960dmg. Jump attacks hit for 1200dmg. This is with just the curved sword talisman and the two handed sword talisman. To finish the build out, deflecting hard tear and holy magic shrouding tear is essential. I also pair the ash of war with endure, that way you can effectively trade against the quicker weapons without any poise, and guard counter against the slower weapons. TL;DR: it’s a super fun melee weapon with a unique play style. Damage is absurdly high, outclassing every other weapon in its class, at the cost of range on the weapon (it’s short.) Also does insane poise damage to bosses, 3 guard counters can poise break radagon potentially. So a solid pve and PvP build/weapon all around.
@@Man_of_Tears i dont get the hate for backhand blades tbh, pvp wise yeah i get it but ppl even talk trash about it pve wise, why? i love those things, always wanted a reverse dagger/sword style to play with

I've noticed that the Bubble Tear isn't popping when it should. It may be bugged. I had, literally, 15/1900 HP and the Tear was still active. So, I've changed it to the Opaline and Thorny.
i definitely plan to revive the arena/invasions weapon showcase series. Just experimenting with all the new stuff. Once i have it all down i plan to make a build for each weapon for sure!
I did some invasions with the Greatsword of Damnation using the Holy Scorpion, Shard of Alexander and Crit Talisman and was able to one shot a player with 60 vig. That weapon is nuts. My stats were 36 str and 50 fth "It's a split between melee and casting".
You should try out the Death Knight’s Longhaft Axe, it’s not as good for chasedowns as the twin axes but it has the same beautiful R2 as the Crescent Moon axe, and its unique ash is super cool and does great lightning damage
"It has the running heavy attack of a Heavy Thrusting Sword." Um Chase, mate, that's probably cause it is a Heavy Thrusting Sword. (And before anyone gets all over me for correcting anyone I'm just trying to be humorous okay).
Giants Hunt on the Fire Knight GS is a must i highly reccomend ppl try that if they havent...its a game changer for most encounters. I use to use it on the Zweihander but I like the Fire Knight GS animation moveset more(with still having the lunging R2 Zwei has)
I've been running Dagger, shard, scared scorpion, exalted flesh and holy boosting physic with GSoD. The AoW with that setup allows for oneshotting phantoms and hosts if you get the grab.
Str/fth was the build i ran in the dlc. As soon as I encountered the fire knight i *had* to farm the armour and sword. Crazy that out of all the new weapons my go-to was a pve drop!
Something to note: The death twin axes scale best as a quality weapon, 2nd best as a dex weapon, a strength weapon 3rd , lastly as a faith weapon but all having great scaling which makes it a great tool for most build types. The Dex scaling looks poor except dexterity is a natural lighting scaler, giving it a slight boost upon both str and faith. But overall I actually do love this setup. I can run a proper dex/fth build with a 20/45/45 split and have more than 2 optimal weapons and it runs great with some catalyst builds due to dex effecting casting speed. It's actually great when every point matters than having casting weapons with a high dex requirement w/ low dex scaling. Same reason why I love the spear of the impaler.
Thank you for another epic vid Chase! Could you showcase the Deathknight Longhaft Axe next? It's an amazing Str-Faith weapon that I prefer over the standard lightning axes because of its range
