Fun fact! Venomous Fang applies a stronger version of the standard poison (called Deadly Poison in the game files). Does double the poison damage for a quarter of the time. Fetid Pots and the Serpentbone Blade do this too. Poison Spraymist has an even stronger version of Deadly Poison thats stronger than Scarlet Rot applied by weapons (but again, for a quarter of the uptime.)
Also the serpent bow with the serpent arrows does deadly poison. I just refer to it as venom in my head

Another weapon worth consideration is the Coiled Shield.
I mention it since Venemous Fangs also deal Deadly Poison, but the Coiled Shield has an advantage over most weapons in the game in that it’s weapon skill doesn’t deflect off walls. As a result, it’s the ultimate ambush weapon since it can quite literally go through walls to hit enemies.
Totally late to the party but I just found it in Volcano Cave and holy shit it slaps! Kinda sad it scales with strength and not dex or arcane, but you don’t really need the damage, as the deadly poison build up is nice. Having said that, grabbed it on my Str build and omg, it’s such a nice extra to have and can do over 1k damage 😎😵

My favorite pair of claws finally got its own video, I am happy today, though I usually try to Quickstep the Blasphemous Bonks, not Endure through them. I'm also typically using the poison itself to help, not utterly deleting people like at 7:52, jesus.
Also, Chase, I saw a few of your old videos. Did you know you used to swear much more often? You don't anymore.

I find it incredibly hilarious that just the simple act of running towards the wizard made them panic roll like 6 times right off the cliff. He started rolling away before you even got close. The second he started rolling I knew he'd kill himself

the weapons that have inherent poison damage when infused with poison deal deadly poison instead, it doesnt last as long but i think does double damage for the status itself. wasnt the point of this build but just a thing for anyone interested in status builds

I use this weapon probably more then another as of late. Its fantastic at any level. Its great for lower lvl invasions to deal with over lvled phantoms. Just infuse with lightning at low lvl for max DMG and keeping your poison in tact without change. You could go cold but poison drops a bit. Not worth the poison infusion at low lvl. Your DMG drops off the map and your poison hardly goes up since its not possible to stack arcane with talismans and such.
The damage on this and the daggers are absurd :O

Need more poison ashes of war in the DLC, and for Serpentbone blade to receive ashes of war/scale off occult.
I really like the idea of poison moth flight hitting hard and removing poison buildup. I think it should be a poison detonation plus the HP damage bonus plus the base damage bonus since it's hard to hit with.
Poison needs love.
Also the poison on this weapon is not standard poison.
"When poison is procced on an enemy using this weapon, the resulting poison effect will deal double the damage per tick but last a third of the amount of time compared to poison procced by other means. This is referenced as "Deadly Poison" in the weapons description. Overall, Deadly Poison will do less damage than regular poison if both are left for their full duration."

The only thing I don't like about these weapons are the way they look. Why put one giant fang on each fist instead of two thinner fangs like the Raptor Talons? That would look so much cooler and make more sense considering that snakes have two fangs.
That phantom with 450 hp is literally every host I coop with
endure fists/claws of all kinds are an invasion hack, this particular setup cranks that up a notch further. That damage is crazy lmao

Hahaha, they were trying to set a trap with one laying down into a corpse and the other keeping the enemies alive as bait. Chase just runs in and nukes the host before the guy can stand up, priceless.
Is also doing thrust damage as well which adds to the damage
You should do some invasions with the Coil Shield, it's AoW does Deadly Poison and a lot of people don't know about it, will def. catch off guard, especially if you used unseen weapon with it lmao.

This gave me a great idea for a serpent build. Could use the serpent katana, the fists, the shield (which apparently does really good poison build up), the serpent bow and arrows too. It sounds like a really sick build even though it's a simple poison build lol

Here's another fun burst setup: Blood infuse those claws and equip barbaric roar, KoR, LoB, Roar Medallion, and any multi-hit damage boosting talisman. Add on mushroom crown or white mask and you have a trade punish build for the ages.
Fun fact, infusing these with poison both adds more buildup, but increases the length pf the dradly poison, which is already all the poison damage in about half the time

Man, i love these things. Did a whole playthrough using them on my Beefy Rya build. Super solid and versatile for both pvp and pve
I've seen some videos on giantsflame pots. You should try a faith build centered around oil and giantsflame pots. Jar head, companion jar talisman, and flame cracked tear, plus the usual pure faith stuff
I was making a new arcane character and i had them become this build after i watched the video. Its been super fun, im really happy a poison build is actually strong like this
Since you're enjoying the claw weapons, it'd be cool to see a Wolverine build-get the hookclaws and some regeneration buffs/spells (Bestial Vitality), and maybe even Malenia's Great Rune.
one shot venomous fang with claw talisman was easily my favorite PVE build. Glad to see you taking off with it.

Bro, he doesn't lose hardly ever. Did you see the hundreds of thousands of runes he was carrying around? He generally goes entire streams without dying. If you want to see a death you have to watch for a couple of weeks

Arcane builds are my favourite, maybe you should also do bleed hoslow whips build that would be interesting to see considering their range and if you put poison with innate bleed on them that would be insane

@@maxwells2546 yeah the first thing i would think of when trying to learn to fight outnumbered is make sure you dont tunnel vision one opponent, that lets the teammates just get free hits. its definitely hard to fully finish opponents off in groups to so having a long range ash of war and an ash of war that does good damage to groups definitely helps a lot as well.

i have a theory: maybe these phantoms with extremely low hp are just cosplaying average irl humans, who will most likely bleed out and die after taking a couple direct sword swings!

@@maxidiaz7955 your character lunges into a swing which applies 250 deadly poison. If it hits an already poisoned player it procs a bleed like burst of %dmg (usually hits for ~500).
It's not bad to slap it on a Poison Broadsword or Grossmesser at low level since they keep decent strength scaling/AR despite the poison infusion.
@@timballisto Do you know what's the damage of the bleed-like explosion based on? Like, your Arcane? Reduced by poison resistance? Does it remove the poison from your enemy? There might be a way to make it usable.. and if there is, Chase's the one to figure it out lol

The proc is 5%hp+250.
The deadly poison is .14%hp + 14/s over 30s.
Swing deals 250 poison buildup (and procs deadly poison if it fills the bar instead of proc hemorrhage-lite)
This wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem if it didn't also cleanse the poison.
Difficult to weave in (roughly similar timing to bloody slash), very low range in no small part because it doesn't fit on anything with reach unless it's the nagakiba.
There's a reason most people don't rely on it. It's more cumbersome than bleed is, and its best performance frankly starts delivering less than dealing with bleed resistance bumping upward unless you're proccing it side-by-side with bleed.
I find it funny when these vigorless dorks don’t pop your bubble before unleashing their damage.

If you wanna do something similar, a bleed version of this with 2H warped axe would be cool, but not as cool as a cross-naginata with an offhand CGS, be it the omen cleaver, dismounter or whatever.

Chase it would be cool to see you test strength faith build with powerstanced malekith swords.. with the scorpion holy charm, holy cracked tear, golden vow and flame grant me strength I am seeing 1800+ damage from a running L1 and I’m not even max level faith. I am sure you’ll find a way to hit a 2k L1. I also had to use erdtree favor and great jar arsenal to be able to roll

this build can now be buffed even further with the Poisoned Hand offhanded, and the Lacerating Cross Tree Talisman equipped. 😅
I have this weapon in a strength build, and stacked buffed with poison grease or poison incantation, and the damage is simply brutal, out of this world. I think it could be probably the most broken weapon in the game.

What stats were you running on this? I'm running something similar but it feels like I'm losing some damage potential.
Dual high speed weapons seem to be the most powerful builds in invasions except against halfway decent players. People aren't doing enough spacing and dodging.

I dont play pvp unless invaded but did a NG+ run with these on blood infusion with the black bow and had a blast.
If you Poison infuse the Fang, it does Deadly Poison damage with the normal Poison duration
