I think many of us really appreciate the updated guides for certain heroes, because I was browsing for certain hero guides but they were made 1 or 2 years ago. Hope that you can consider doing hero guides for the current patch/meta, even if you have already done them before.
1-2 years = like 3-4 patches most of the time sadly so they are still relevant in terms of playstyle most of the time
If he has let´s say 15 hero guides total, that would mean BSJ would have to repeat the same heroes over and over again always because patches and the meta always changes. His guides thankfully address the weakness and strenghts of each hero and talks about what meta makes them strong and weaks, so I prefer much more to have guides to different heroes that to repeat himself.

Ty BSJ, all the different carry videos with specific hero guides, like this one, really nicely build on top of one another and complement each other. As a new DotA player (coming from LoL), learning about items and macro/farming patterns are easily the most important areas to cover. Now to just apply it in game and, where needed, adapt to the newest patch. :)

New player here. Going through your fundamentals series learning the game with Jugg. The last hitting is the first test you give and I'm having a hard time, although I haven't put much time yet. Looking forward to learning this great game!!! My next two heroes I'll learn after Jugg are PA and WK.
This is more for advance players. You should look for a beginner guide to learn basic fundamental gameplan/item build.

Funfact about healing ward. Besides the mana cost decreasing and the healing amount increasing per level nothing else changes. At level 3 it will heal enough to fully heal any hero. The fourth level is essentially only for healing faster or healing heroes who are taking more than their maximum HP in damage over the duration. If you don't feel like you need this you can leave healing ward at lvl 3 and max crit or even stats before you put in the final point.
But in general maxing healing ward second is still the way to go simply because healing faster is often better.
Depends. If u end up with ur lane max that Crit son. Casual morbid mask if ur having trouble sustaining and just spin waves n hit creeps

maxed healing ward will heal u more in mid-fight where u have to put it and the opponent will kill it anyway in a second or two.
Also great for tanking camps, tower, getting ur team-mates healed FASTER so they can kite the enemies more efficiently and pressure more.
I can see u are not above 3k mmr by ur way of judging things.
DotA is pure math in time as time is efficiency. thats why u spam the bottle at ur fountain u need to get in a comfortable hp as fast as possible so u can proceed with ur plans.
Level 1 ward will force u to back out so u gonna miss an opportunity to get into a GOOD POSITIONING. LvL 4 ward will heal u very fast so u can peacefully do ur role and get into the position ur role is asking u to be. With 20% hp u gonna be in once spot, with 50% in another and with 80%+ u gonna be in another.
I dont know how to explain to u the importance of things happening fast in dota. The faster the execution is the more efficient u are.
yes lvl 3 or 4 ward is not a big difference, im just criticizing ur way of thinking in dota not the ''huge'' difference between lvl 3 ward or lvl 4 ward

I think playing as a pos 2 when your mid is a farming mid is kinda necessary for any carry that does not scale too well at the late game. I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking like this. I play carry but sometimes I act as a semi mid when there's a Medusa Mid on my team.

People in my games underestimate how much dmg you can do in the spin. You can still right click when spinning to proc mjolnir and basher, while being completely spell immune. And the shard does your right click damage already. I have games where my mjolnir does 40k dmg alone. It's pretty crazy.

@BSJ how do you identify what part of the map a given hero should play? is the ancients/offlane pattern something you try and use for all pos 1's in accordance with your dead lane theory, where your own jungle is often not the safest place to farm after the laning phase, or is it dependent on individual hero skill kits? The obvious exception I can think of would be radiance carries wanting to be in their own jungle more because there are more closely placed camps there, but I'd still like to know how you think about it.
I think as a rule of thumb you should play ancients offlane on pos 1 (most farm and often safest on the map) but there are occasions when you are playing a hard to kill carry like (lifestealer, morph even Jugg) where you farm dangerous space (stay safe lane or go mid) to constrict their map

Hey guys I have a secret jugg strat for you! In some game you can rush the diffusal blade. It makes omni slash drain mana, allows you to slow them while spinning, adds to your shard, amps your farm, gives good stats and is extremely cheap
It is a really good item on jugg indeed.
Maybe a second item or third item depends on the match up( up against Medusa). But Maelstrom is the one you should build first
Hello Bsj. I saw few times that rank 100 (approximately) players bought early phase boots and basilius. After that they didn't buy any clarity or mango is it a good idea?
I used to, before and during it's meta, rush blades of attack into phase boots, when sups started feeding salves to the carry. Since I noticed when I bought lots of regen to win the lane, I didn't have enough networth, watched some pro players buy elvskin first item as well on agi tread heroes. Now with the salve nerf I would only rush phase/basi in duo queue. Your sup spams tangos and you only buy 1 salve, basi over stick for farming, phase is usually an aggresive kill item but what else can you go on jug, guessing it's main purpose is to speed between camps/wave and the survivability

for me, jugg is hard press lane , with a stunner or slower. out sustain opponent and take objectives.
I am lower mmr but some how when I play jugg type dota I win the game most of the times.
dominate the offlaner > max spin and at least 2 lvl heal > rotate mid to take tower or just take my own lane tower. > by now i get my farming item > farm top lane and enemy jungle ( jug can farm aggressive ) get manta > rosh with team > take mid tower or top tower >get skadi and shard for movement > go high ground.
I know its kinda suny day scenario but actually jugg is the most capable of above play. He just kills and pushes. always work in lower mmr games.

BSJ ,for pos 1 agi , when do i need wraith band or no problem skipping it,whats the lane condition for that??? Also ,when and when not 2 wraith bands is ok and not ok ??
For me, 1 wraith band is better for rushing battle fury.
For 2 WBands if youre going for maelstrom.
You need wraith band when you think you have to trade (right clicks) a lot before the 3, 4 or 5 minutes clock during laning phase. Otherwise, you won't really need it (especially on Jugg). You can go 2 wraith band in the same case and most of the time if your Hero does not have any clearwave potential and is farming only with right clicks. (Jugg have his spin - Terrorblade have only right clicks to farm)
@@andyrandrianirina7036 but since Jug really has mana problems, you often need a wand and cant afford to buy 2 wraiths. There are games I greedily skipped wand and felt impotent. Also, at some point you need to focus beyond the laning stage and 2nd wraith somewhat delays maelstrom.
I think wind lace is a hidden gem on some carry heroes and is often overlooked, even by myself. It increases farm speed if you spend a lot of times between camps and is also good for fights with many heroes.

is Jugg just always phase boots now? No more treads?
As mentioned, Jugg already has high attack speed so treads are not as good as on other heroes. The MS from phase increases farm speed due to most damage coming from spin and it also is just too good in fights. Another part is that during spin you dont take magic damage, so armor protects from the only damage source possible.

@@cozos You are right, I guess the point is more about diminishing returns and what's best at which point in the game. In mid game he has enough right click damage as is and mobility from phase is just more valuable because you can move between camps faster and get more hits off on enemies.
If my team is losing ground early on the game, i like going for a fast shard.

Correct, that is a hard one to play against. He can just face tank spin in lane while bashing and it really comes down to which support is stronger. In fights it's similar, if he had a decent lane he can tank spells and kill jugg after omnislash. I can't say I figured out how to play that matchup but I feel that not feeding in lane is a huge part of the solution. Good items are manta to purge off -armor and dodge stun. Also butterfly if you can get it. Like BSJ mentioned, Jug should not start a fight if it can be avoided. If you come in later and Slardar is not full HP, it should be much easier to burst him down.
With a decent support with like stuns , or some way to basically stop him from hitting you , slardar dies to spin in lane , and well the hero is quite useless if he gets wrecked early , other than his ult , which is ofc easily countered by Lotus etc.
IMO jug was pretty strong for a while already... I don't understand why some pros considered jug was weak in last patch. His shard and aghs upgrade is one of the best IMO. He also counters alot of meta heroes
Because his ult is countered by ghost scepter which is only 1.4k gold
Which also builds into etheralblade which is a very strong item rn, and also just going invis
So it wouldn't be too out there for both supports to have ghost scepter, mid to have e-blade, and a carry to have a SB

you can potentially get is right after mealstrom if you're gonna join fights and think you can spin on a support or something
the latest you should get it is when you have the level 20 talent, other than that it's a just judgement call.

if u want to beat PA late u need the +40 blade dance lifesteal do a 1v1 bot to see. i have only faced her a few times as my jug but she isnt that strong late vs jugs higher attack speed+armor gain

Hmm, I tend to find that lvl 20 Lifesteal talent is actually better than the bladefury DPS talent, especially if I have to buy an MKB to deal with Evasion which delays a potential Satanic purchase. The lifesteal talent just makes me come out of Omnislash with full HP pretty much, and allows me to trade 1v1 against other carries much better.
I think often times you want to murder supports. The 150 spin talent combined with shard means you are dumping out damage on a support who cant hex or stun you to disable. You just shit on them.
Sure, its worse for manfighting a morphling, TB, or lifestealer. But if you are manfighting an enemy carry you are probably playing dota incorrectly from the jump.
I just ran it in sim, no items at all, level 20, both talents and a shard is over 2k damage. Normal items ups it to over 2500.
I'll have to agree with the previous response. You rarely want to go into a teamfight trying to manfight their carry. My opinion is that if you can get away with killing the backlines and turning to their cores with a numbers advantage, it's a much better plan.
The spin damage talent is so much better than the lifesteal it's not even close
The bladedance lifesteal only triggers when you crit meaning it's effectively only 14% (40*0.35) lifesteal, this is less than a morbid mask
You would literally get more out of buying a 900 gold item, it's garbage
The spin damage talent on the other hand is one of the best talents in the game (combined with shard and the spin duration talent)
It completely changes the way you can play the game on jugg even cores die to a spin with shard lategame also having not just physical damage makes a big difference in many matchups (wyvern, omni, PA, TB)
Being able to play around spin lategame makes ur hero so much stronger ur spin is basically an extra omnislash
I think this talent tilts the PA + jugg matchup in juggs favor, a hero like PA you can't really omni and you can't manfight but you kite the bkb, spin on her and she dies this means you don't need to buy and MKB and can buy buy some tanky items to survive her super high damage and effectively kite the bkb
edit: lifesteal isn't really very good on jugg because healing ward you pretty much never buy satanic on jugg
Really depends on the kind of game you’re playing but I would say in any kind of hard game spin dmg is better. The lifesteal is cool if you want to man fight or duel people or survive after getting jumped but jugg isn’t really about all that stuff.
The spin talent + shard does so much damage, that no support hero can survive it. Taking the other talent leaves you susceptible to ghost scepters and shit. Then you still have the omni slash to kill any core hero that's left stranding, and you already have healing ward for sustain

Use ethereal on yourself and spin. Ghost scepter doesnt works but ethereal does. If you have a linken you can like chill in a chrono or slark's shadow dance. No physical no magical dmg. You are almost invulnerable. Idk but I havent seen much people doing it.
