I'm having trouble copying all my music files from the hard drive from my old computer (Windows 10) to the Windows Media Player of my newer computer (Windows 11).. Is there a chance I may have to rip all of my CD's to Windows Media Player on my newer computer (Windows 11)? Please let me know either way ASAP. Thank you!😀
Hello, thank you for your help! I am having problems disabling folders that were automatically shared from my desktop to my new laptop, how may disable folders on my laptop and not see them on the desktop of the laptop, please? Thank you
I think you are seeing folders from other computer because you set the network profile as Private or the network discovery option is turned on. Try this: At the bottom right corner click the Wi-Fi icon, then right-click on the connection name you are connected to and select Properties. This will open up the Settings window. Here, under the Network Profile, make sure you select the Public option. Doing that will hide you PC from other computer on the same network. -OR- Try this: Simple turn off the Network Discovery option, see the video at 2:05. In the video it's showing how to turn on, you just turn it off. When the network discovery option is off other computer can't access the shared files/folders.
Yes, it’s a permanent sharing until you turn of the sharing option as told in the video. The other computer needs to enter the password to access the shared folder.
it didn't work at first. than later I found that sharing will not work if the PC account is an Microsoft account method! so I changed the account to local account then worked! Windows sucks! thanks for the video
@@HelpingClipsOfficial What!? You didn't say anything about this in your video. I'm using my Microsoft account credentials to log into my PC, so are you saying I need a second local account also to share files? Is there a way around this? Why would Microsoft not allow file sharing between computers using Microsoft accounts since that is what they're pushing you to sign in with these days?
The purpose of local account is only sharing and putting username n password security on the shared folder. If you are using Microsoft account then create a separate local account just for sharing purposes. Select that user from the list while setting up permission for the folder. If you still have any questions please reply, Thanks.
It's 2022 and file sharing is still a torture! Great job modern tech!
Good to hear that it’s working for you, Thanks
I needed this tutorial with the shared specifik user to make it more safe. Thanks !
You're welcome!

Yes, but this file sharing method required both computers should be on same network either using same WiFi or wired network connection.

Can this be a permanent shared folder? If one puts something in it, the other computer can always see it? Like a shared drive?

This worked beatifully! Cheers!!
Good to hear from you, Thanks.
For some reason mine says I don’t have permission to the file
Make sure you added and gave correct permissions from where you shared the files.

Yes, you must have a local account to share files between windows PCs on the same network.

Can't watch with that sound beating in the background. Why do you think you need it? You lose a lot of viewers doing that. It's an annoying trend.
Sorry for that bg sound, I will make the voice more clear in the next videos.
