    I have the D5 variant, still really like this car. I wonder what is your experience with the DPF regeneration. Even though I drive mostly on battery (0.8l/100km on avg) I sometimes use the diesel heater to precondition the car and it seems this triggers the DPF regen every 2-3 weeks. At least that is my assumption since there is no explicit DPF indication, the car just force-starts the engine on ignition (which I can bypass by restarting) OR disables pure mode at high speeds. Would be very interested to know your experience with it

      The diesel heater is a fully seperate system. Should not trigger the dpf cleaning. If its trying to clean every 2-3 weeks, that probably means it does not do a full cycle.

      @@RCtrialTim I was not aware, thank you for the clarification! In cold weeks I nowadays try to make at least one 30min trip full diesel on highway to get the temp up and finish its cycle.

      @@ParisCarboneif it keeps regenerating so much, you need to let a specialist look at it. It might be a bad dpf.

      @ParisCarbone Год назад +1

      @@RCtrialTim It only has 39k km so I hope it is too early to get DPF problems but I will ask a technician to take a look. The low temperatures in sweden definitely contribute to bad dpf regeneration overall

    Hello! Really thanks for this video.
    Do you have info about battery pack cost? Im looking at d5 hybrid and think how much can it cost over the car price if battery go out under me. I like the car aot just cant choose btw 2.0d 5cyl and hybrid

    Hello , great video , can you tell what is the fuel consumption on highway with 140 km/h kind regards

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  Год назад +1

      Its 6l/100km @ 130km/h. So @ 140km/h its probably 6,5l/100km

    I'm looking to get 2nd hand one but I've heard about issue with ISG and AC compressors. Have you experienced any of the problems?

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  Год назад +3

      AC compressor is solved if the compressor and expandor are exchanged while the system has been flushed. Factory refrigerant was the wrong type. ISG needs to be changed when you hear a noise from it. Don't wait until failure (destroy valve's of engine). But its a rare case. There was a few bad examples but they had a recall. If the dealer does not overtension the isg belt, it should not be a problem.

    When you drive in hybrid mode how long battery last from full charge?

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  Год назад +2

      Depends on conditions, driving style and speed. In summer 40-45km normal roads. 35-40km highway @ 100km/h. In winter around 0°C 30-35km. Below freezing it drops even more. 25-30km.

    Hi, I did not know that Volvo had plug in hybrid with diesel engine. Very interesting, can you please advise what is consumption in town, highway and out of town? What is the range on pure mode with full battery? How much time you need to fully charge battery on domestic current (220 volts)? What about reliability?

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  5 лет назад +9

      Volvo has a long time the V60 D6 plug in hybrid. From 2012 or 2011. From 2018 or 2019 you can buy a V60 D5 hybrid also. Same engine as D6. But less power and only 1 turbo instead of 2. And from 2018 or 2019 you can buy the v60 and v90 in T8. Is hybrid with 2l gasoline. Also found in the xc40 xc60 and xc90. For this model, D6, summer electric range is 40-45km. If you baby it. 50km is possible. In winter round freezing it is 25-30km. Below freezing only 20km. Charging time on a wall mount charger is 3 hours. With the sokket version it is 3hours 30minutes. Fuel consumption is 6-6,5l/100km on highway. Out of town is 4,5-5,5l/100km. In town is high if battery is flat. 7l/100km and higher. At steady 50km/h it uses 4,5l/100km. Accelerating is what cost the most.

      @@RCtrialTim Hello, I have a question about Pure mode. Is it cold, e.g. -10 degrees Celsius, the car will still work only on the electric motor, or will the internal combustion engine be turned on? Thank you for your response.

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  5 лет назад +3

      @@Blescik when coolant temperature is 0 or below 0°C, the internal engine is started automatically. If the car is plugged in and preeheated. Then it is possible to drive in freezing weather in full electric mode. Note that the range suffers a lot in winter and if the Webasto dieselburner is not turned on. You have no heater.

    Hi, What is maximum speed in pure? No heater at all in pure? Can you setup automatic preheat daily? Does it pre heat using electric from charger?

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  Год назад +1

      Maximum speed in electric mode is 130km/h. If you want heat in pure mode, then turn on the webasto heater. Then you have heat. Burns diesel. You can let it preheat with the dieselburner or electric while plugged in. You can set 2 pre heating times. But needs to be activated every day.

    How did you put pedal on the limit on 3 min. and not over the limit ?

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  5 лет назад +1

      When in pure you have more pedal travel until max electric power. And above that, there is some pedal travel with no extra aditional power. I think that 50% trottle 100% electric power is and when you go above i guess 65% throttle the diesel engine engages.

    I wanted to know something.. Is this diesel engine noisy? And do yu smell fumes around car when engine is on??

    • @RCtrialTim
      @RCtrialTim  2 года назад +1

      The diesel engine is a little noisy when cold or when driven hard. Otherwise its almost not hearable. I have no idea of smell around the car. It has a dieselparticle filter so the exhaust is fairly clean.
