Crazy Taxi is an open world racing video game developed by Hitmaker (Sega AM3) and published by Sega. The main objective of the game is to pick up customers and take them to their chosen destination as quickly as possible.
In this run, solarplex aims to reach Rank 1 as well as obtain a Crazy License, and this run surely lives up to the crazy nature of the game.

I love how Crazy the Ride is for some Passengers that they constantly interrupt themselves due to the sheer amount of Craziness from the Rides.

The baseball stadium fare was quite possibly the dumbest yet most amazing thing I think I've ever seen in a driving game.

@@calejuice no, you just have to drift in one specific area. It’s an exploit with the game’s physics and collision with the “drop off” zone

Oh sure when Gina drives through town, she's a 'good driver' and 'knows how to drive' but when I do it, I'm called a murderer and a menace to society.

have such a love hate with this game, i used to fix arcade games and this ones delux set up was a pain in the ass to main tain 100%.

@@Erandros big one was the monitor boars were prone to over heat damage as the dedicated cab had vents but NO fans. This would some times blow fuse on the board, not hard but other times just burn out a color gun. And the gas peddle was NOT planed for the beating it was guna take.
That was a big thing that caused alot of issues with dedicated or custom game cabs, the beating the user parts will take is rare considered or under estimated.

I just want to say thank you. You likely weren't in the city I was in, but Crazy Taxi and House of the Dead were my go-to games of my childhood. Maintenance may not be King, but it's full of kings like you.
@@0x90erator god ya HoD was grate, used to play solo duel weld 🤣. Time Crisis was good one but ugh but the power that be at Namco Arcade wanted them 100% all the time which was a pain as recoil side was powered by a flipper solenoid that wore the hell out of the slider making is seem loose which made it no perfect.🤦♂️. My travels were limited to central pa and 5yrs in Columbus OH them came back home over the job eventually blew out my back and got fired. Work politics were shit but the people and places I saw made it bearable.

it was this tas that made want to play Crazy taxi, my older brother one day was able to get a copy for crazy taxi but for some reason couldn´t work with our pc back then.
Many years later, i saw this tas and made want to get again the game, and at last, finally i was able to play it.
I have been waiting years for a new tas for this game

Esse sem dúvidas é um dos melhores jogos que joguei em minha infância.
So many memories here.
A lot of speedruns completely break games in ways the developer never intended, but I like to think this TAS is what the devs originally envisioned when creating Crazy Taxi.
If I were that second to last guy, I probably would have splurged on a limo and some seats right behind home plate instead of spending a few grand on a taxi ride. But what do I know?

This is what I imagined while playing this game
can you help me to find a song from the original music please? i watched a lot of gameplays but i coudn't find it, even googling the soundtrack for hours... that song has "jesus" in the lyrics. everytime crazy taxi plays it, i just pause the game and listen to it till it finish. even shazam didn't helped me :(

great tas run, i love those perfect to impossible moves...
game itself is very unique, like most of sega arcade games in 90s...i'm myself from 1989 i got beautiful childhood memories from 90s era... psx, n64, dc, gameboy... we had everyhting, daytona, crash, tekken, sonic, gran turismo, mario, zelda, street fighter, mortal kombat... era of best games... coin up arcade shooting games like time crisis and house of the dead... we had best football games, fifa 98, iss pro... racing arcades with wheels, pedals and whole motorbikes... AND MOST IMPORTANT! GAMES WERE FULL! NO DLCS, NO SEASON PASSES... JUST PURE CREATIVNESS! like this example... nowdays nobody makes games like this... even final fantasy and tekken sucks today...
