I am absolutely _convinced_ this this game was made by the same people who made the _Metal Slug_ series. The music and sound design are _so_ very similar, even though the games could not be much different. And that makes this golf game absolutely _amazing._ (And this TAS makes the game seem even _more_ amazing. Nicely done, mamuuuut!)

SNK must have some predilection for Brazil, as it is a country with no golf tradition, but there is a Brazilian player available to choose from. It's more or less like having the Vanuatu team in a football game where there are few teams to select.

Topspin, I think it was after you choose your power level you hold the arrow up the entire time you make your shot (I used to hold it even after the swing animation, you definitely have to hold it when choosing where on the ball do you hit, the nice meter), same with backspin but you use arrow down then. Topspin will make your shots travel further, backspin will make them travel less. There's also the height at which you send the ball which will affect the roll after landing, and shooting higher makes it more affected by the wind
