- WORLD RECOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD! FINALLY WORLD RECOOOOOOOOOOOOORD!!!
Welcome to the gameplay that at the time I'm writing is the absolute WORLD RECORD of CRAZY TAXI!!!
You have no idea how excited I am to share this with you. I finally reached the World Record!!!
This run was very hard to do, I had to practice a lot with the combos, search new strategies, apply the existing ones, and searching more customer patterns for a run optimization.
Here I didn't want to reach higher gametimes to spend it all at the end of the run with the green customers of the downtown area. Instead, I wanted to distribute them throughout the run. The new strategy there was picking the old grandma at the first of the game and doing combos with her so you could actually make a lot of points, also with one of the customers of the downtown with the extra time of the first minutes to having time to do much more points from it.
In this video you will see a gameplay at max speed, an optimized customer-picking-up and big combos with strategic customers to reach a much higher score.
You don't know how hard was this to me, I don't know if it's the redream, my pc or the fact of playing with keyboard a version designed to play with joystick, but doing combos is extremely hard, specially when you can play only two days a week and sometimes you feel so untrained while playing. The car is too sensitive and it's very very easy to break a combo, and I won't talk about the delays, reason I paused the game sometimes because the taxi literally starts to respond 200ms later and it makes the game unplayable and frustrating if you need to dodge cars. It ruined me a lot of runs.
But all of this pain WAS WORTH! SO WELCOME TO THE ACTUAL WORLD RECORD OF CRAZY TAXI! ENJOY IT AS NEVER! AND SHARE THIS VIDEO WITH ANY PEOPLE WHO EVER PLAYED CRAZY TAXI!!! LET'S GO!!!
Sadly, I can't send it to Twin Galaxies since I'm playing on an emulator. I can't allow me to play the original game on an original console, but I understand why they don't want emulator runs.
By the way, you can prove in this video how I'm not doing any kind of cheat, this is just practice and passion for this game that I love so much.
Like and suscribe if you want more runs like this!

I remember seeing the old record years ago and it pushed me to actually play the game for myself so the fact that there's a new record for such a long standing one is insanely impressive.
Congrats! A WR is truly a giant achievement!
Thank you! It is!!!
I've been curious to see how far Crazy Taxi players have taken this game since the last time I played it.
for Crazy Frank this is just regular taxi
Folks paying $4,122 to go 8/10 of a mile... Just start walking already 😅
That's crazy
It really blows my mind watching this where you have more time at the end of the current run than you had at the end of the previous one. Even more impressive is where you go across town WITHOUT a passenger & STILL are able to increase your time over the next few runs. Amazing skills!
By runs do you mean laps around the map? Yeah it was difficult to learn all the skills needed, thank you for your words :)
@@crazyfrank3325 Sorry, I meant a customer run (a pick up & drop off is what I mean by a run) where you drop off the first customer, pick up a second, then somehow have more time after you drop off the second customer than you did when you dropped off the previous one. I am seeing the pattern you use but it's just so fast, it's hard to keep the map straight in my head.
Also, I think Twin Galaxies doesn't allow emulation high score due to possible cheating, pausing, & controls which are different in an emulator than controls on a physical machine. Like for Crazy Taxi, I'm not sure how easy it would be to go between Drive & Reverse with the actual machine as you do it with a keyboard. That's likely offset by not using a steering wheel, but how to judge... Regardless, it's so much fun to watch this game played at such a high level!
got into this game a few days ago, didn't know you could get this crazy!
This is a gift that keeps on giving.
Congratulations, my friend! 👏🤓
Muchas gracias!!!
You just earned your insane license!!!😮❤
AWESOME !! Well done and congratulations :)
Thank you Robert!
Congratulations! A great achievement!
Thank you Alex!!!
Congradulations!! This game is also a passion of mine. I hit a PR for me yesterday with 112 customers, and $59k! I will adopt your strategies and see how they affect my play, thank you so much for sharing your work :)
I prefer using the gamecube version, is there a particular reason you use the dreamcast version? Gamecube emulation is very clean and i do not feel the delays you talk about in the description
Thank you Skylor! I love this game too. I use dreamcast emulation because I downloaded it first to play CT2, then I used it to play CT1 too. It's easy to download a gamecube emulator? I had problems trying emulators beyond the dreamcast one.
Congratulations too!
@@crazyfrank3325 dolphin is pretty easy to set up and very accurate, but if this already works for you I wouldn't sweat it.
@@NickGoblin Oh, I'll try it then! Playing without the delays would be a high setup improvement 🙂
very crazy, nice job man could u give me some tips in general im trying to get better by knowing were customers go so i can keep looping the town, is that good or i should learn to drift to i can combo more ?
Dude wasn't aiming for efficiency, he was aiming for money
GG :)
¡Muchas gracias, Tanneshi!
Very impressive! I just started playing this game. I haven't made it paste $2.5k. haha. You're tutorial was very informative.
I'm glad that I helped you =)
Increible gameplay!! Enhorabuena!!
OMG, congrats!
Thank you Juan!!!
Impressive run! Congrats! My pb is 108k with a normal strategy.
Thank you! Congratulations!
@@crazyfrank3325 I hope to see u on twitch streaming crazy taxi :D, btw im working in your combos strategy:) (using dolphin emulator)
Holy damn I didn't know you could go underwater🤯
Yea I used to always love picking up the people snorkeling.
craziest taxi. That's for damn sure
Pero qué craaaaaaaack🔥
Crazy Taxi: Can't sue us if you didn't get hurt
Congratulations 🥳🥳.....Bro you play this game in which resolution ??? Because its running very Smoothly on your device..
Thank you!
I play it at 1440x1080p, 60 fps on Redream emulator
@@crazyfrank3325 Ohhh Cool, Can you plz tell your PC specs
Nice.
prettty gud dude
How hard is it to get 20k with the default settings? The best I've done is 13k :( i ALWAYS get sent backwards at the lookout tower and the bus terminal... how do you know who to pick up? Is it entirely memorization? For someone who just wants 20k is it possible to just go for specific customers or colors at specific locations every time?
can you help me to find a song from the original music please? i watched a lot of gameplays but i coudn't find it, even googling the soundtrack for hours... that song has the word "jesus" in the lyrics. everytime crazy taxi plays it, i just pause the game and listen to it till it finish. even shazam didn't helped me :(
it's in your steam files in the crazy taxi folder somewhere
@@carlosfrancisco9645 thank you! i'll check it. does this folder will be also if i downloaded not from steam?
edit: i found it! :))) after years!
For the passenger at 3:37, how do you prolong your drift combo like that? I can’t seem to get higher than 5 cause the car slows down too fast
It's hard to explain... have you tried doing the drift with the brake button instead of the accelerate? Look at the keyboard at the bottom of my video and try to replicate it!
I do brake but I can’t seem to skid nearly as far, is this a drift you have to do immediately after a crazy dash/ limiter cut? Actually does it matter depending on the driver you pick? Cause I was trying with axel lol
That's a "CRAZY!!!" World Record!!
🔥🔥🔥
Lol and here I thought getting 10k was good 😂
I thought I seen a new strategy and then read the description. Guess rooftop Grandma is good to pick up early because she never gives me more than around 79 seconds. You got 90? or so.. I’ve been playing on PSP and still trying to beat my own $85K record 😂.
I didn’t know they don’t allow records with emulation. Many other games do but those are much older. Probably because save states can be loaded and edited together cutting out the mishap’s in between. I’d like to see you do some console game play someday. Dreamcast, GameCube and PS2 in that order from best to worst visuals. GameCube has the better controller of the 3. PS2 would be the cheapest to set up including cost of the game though.
The grandma gives up to 100 seconds! It's the only customer that gives you 3 digits of time in Crazy Taxi 1.
Yeah, cheating on emulators is pretty easy :( Anyway I'm not sure if it's possible to hide the using of save states on Redream bc there's a number that shows on the screen when you load the save state so it's kinda obvious. Maybe I'll do some tests.
I'd like to play in console! Hope one day can do it but sadly I don't see it as a near future :(
man makes $170k in 2 hours by driving a taxi
With inflation, that doesn't even seem unreasonable lol
Why did a random car hit him when he was getting that much combo?
2:03:49
i actually hit it by getting nervous, and I almost had a heart attack when I crashed it xD@@vietnamtom7326
I'm choosing GUS and try to replicate first three passengers. How come you have already have 100 sec.? And second question - why my passengers (the same you chose) want to go somewhere else?
maybe you are playing on a different difficulty! My time difficulty is set at the easiest one :)
The customers' destinations depends of the time passed, if you reach that customers in a different amount of time than me, the "customer pattern" will be different so they will want to go to another side.
@@crazyfrank3325 Ok, I didn't know that the 'customer pattern' may differ because of the time I have left - now everything is clear - thanks :)
@@KrelianPL it actually differs because of the total time played! it's like a cycle that changes every x amount of time (20 sec after start the customers can have a different destination from 10 sec)
@@crazyfrank3325 I see, btw another question - can I replicate your 'customer pattern' by choosing another taxi driver (Axel)? Or it doesn't make any difference and only time matters?
Final video?
I had gotten to #6 in the world but sadly Twin Galaxies doesn't accept records recorded on an emulator so I'm trying to work for the world record on actual hardware. It really stinks these emulated records don't count because I play Crazy taxi so much better when I can run it in Widescreen and play with an Xbox Controller
After studying this video, I Will beat the record at my local barcade. Stack up time and the beginning and stack up money. Dude got 10k early af!
Update: I beat the record. My highest is 60k!! :)
New record in the Arcade map:
196 customers and over 192000 dollars with Gus (MY WORLD RECORD!!!)
License Class: CRAZY!!!
Ranking: 1st
Lmao but that's with infinite drift 😂😂 the world record in that category is much higher!
I only used infinite drift with one customer at the fire station. The rest is only pure skill.
@@juanluis8043 one customer is a lot hahaha
Anyway your skills seems to be good!
AR GEN TINA, AR GEN TINA, AR GEN TINA ⭐⭐⭐
Insane score!! Superb skills, but these strats simply couldn't be translated to an original Arcade cab, hence emulator runs not being in the same category. The precision that is required to do this, nobody could do on that jank wheel especially for this long ;)
Obviously they couldn't. But I would replace the world "emulator" with "other versions beside the original Arcade cab" because they are built different! A world record on a machine would be in totally different category from these record since the dreamcast version (and other consoles) is much easier :P
Thank you for the compliments!
@@crazyfrank3325 There's still no denying you are a CT god! Arcade is even harder for us on the UK as the gear stick is on the 'wrong' side. I'm much better using my right hand for control.
@@mr2nut123 lol that sucks :( i will play someday on an original cabinet
Bro, is that traffic turned down?
It's on difficulty 3/8! One less than default settings :)
0:09 See if it's ready now!
Whut 😮
Okay the actual arcade version only goes like half this fast😅

Why do you always get $11.000 with TOP PROOF Grandma?

IDK man, this doesn't look much impressive, money-wise.
You won 178k but then you gotta pay 1-5M in property damages + spending the rest of your life in prison for multiple hit and run...
Just joking, amazing run!
😂😂😂 thank you!
