If you know how to play this game you can extend the play time for quite a long time! Even minimal boosting and map knowledge can net you like 15 mins on a credit- very good for an arcade!
How can u play without crazy boosting. Also crazy drift and crazy stop. The crazy boost, crazy drift, and crazy stop makes the game fun. That is why they call it crazy taxi.

Let me try to explain! SEGA Naomi hardware is VGA for video and composite stereo (the white & red plugs) for sound. I got y splitters for each, and then into an OSSC (open source scan converter) into a HDMI capture card. So video&audio splits

How do you get the crazy boost so consistently on the arcade cabinet? I’m trying to get it at my local barcarde- and I do get it at times but not as consistently as you. The high score is around 20k$ and the highest I’ve ranked is 23rd place with an S license. I will get that highscore!
Thanks for the update and sorry I didn’t answer sooner. The way I explain boosting is a “one-two punch”. Forward Shift then gas quickly. If you listen closely to this video you can hear the timing. There are also other tricks as well for drifting and stopping faster too. GG on your high scores!!!!!
This variant does have a seat, it’s basically a metal bar that you can rest on which does make it crazy easy to use the pedals and shifter. We have one for ours and 18 Wheeler, and there is also a Jambo Safari version of this that is the same deal.
I play the sega phone version. Played hundreds of times, but highest score I have gotten is about 7,000. Must be a bit of a different set up, cause I don't think it would ever be possible to hit 20,000 on the mobile version.

This was just like Simpsons road rage and there was a copyright infringement lawsuit but it was settled out of court. You’re funny by the way. This is one of the best gameplays I ever watched in my life. You should play Simpsons road rage and hit & run. They should make a spin off called, “crazy Uber or Lyft” if you ask me. This is a fun game. Have a good 1 G and happy hunting. 🫂🫂🫂🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for commenting on my video & the kind words! I heard about the lawsuit with the Simpson's Game. I guess SEGA had the taxi & arrow pointing mechanic copyrighted? Either way-- it was an obvious ripoff...but I remember it sold well and was a fun game!

Prolonged standing isn’t good for the legs and feet. Download crazy taxi on your electronic devices and it’s free. Simpsons road rage and hit & run both were very fondly fun games.
Yeah I definitely need some better routes for the customer. I posted another higher score but I think it’s for sure possible to get $30,000 or more on default settings.

Lol update: I got the highscore and my highest is 58k!! Crazy taxi has become one of my favorite arcade games.

I've played the arcade version before but never without a seat.

You’re probably right. Even on console with controller I feel like the steering is wayyyyy touchier. Some people are great at it though.
