- Growing up I played so much Crazy Taxi, funny enough it was the version that was released on the GameCube that I had the most fun with putting a crazy amount of time into. Today let's talk about Crazy Taxi and why this series is so much fun.

I did manage to play one of the arcade cabinets that Disney had in one of their hotels, which was a lot of fun.

I think Crazy Taxi 2 for Dreamcast was the first game I buckled down and decided to 100 percent complete.

The Simpsons Road Rage was a standout of my childhood and I only learned years later it was literally just Crazy Taxi with the Simpsons
One of my favorites to play on the Dreamcast. The soundtrack still holds up today. 😊

I had the GBA port of Crazy Taxi growing up. It was my introduction to the series. I remember just driving town aimlessly while ignoring passengers as a kid.
Every time I went into a Dave & Busters, the first game that I played was Crazy Taxi. It was fun listening to the music while feeling like I could drive however I want to take the passenger to their destination. These were very good times.
The way I continually played Crazy Taxi and SSX3 (the snowboarding game by EA) on the original GameCube was peak childhood gaming for me. I'm actually REALLY excited to see this new iteration of Crazy Taxi since I currently only have it through Steam. It's hard to find a good copy for my GameCube now but 'll still be on the hunt.
I had the distinct pleasure of my parents taking me to Dave and Buster's as a kid, and getting to play the Crazy Taxi arcade cabinet when it was brand new. Well, calling it a cabinet is a bit of an understatement, as I seem to recall it being a seat with a peddle and steering wheel and a shifter to do reverse. My parents loved the cabinet so much that we actually got the PS2 port when that eventually came out
finding out that games like Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio is such a fever dream i cannot wait to take BD Joe on another ride
Crazy Taxi is so so good. The arcade version is god tier. The second one on dreamcast was really good too, maybe not as iconic
To the Joker, this game was just Taxi.
anytime you ever enter the Arcade ..first thing you hear is "HEY HEY! COME ON OVER! HAVE SOME FUN WITH CRAAZY TAXI"
I recently played this again because of the new announcment, and it is still just as fun and hectic as ever! The soundtrack is an all time classic!

I remember watching my older brother play this when I was a kid & I it was 1 of my favorites to watch him play!
I loved playing the arcade version so much as a kid I played it a lot at home on the dreamcast
Nothing ever beat just firing up Cazy Taxi on the PS2 and getting slapped in the face by The Offsprings "All I Want" before just zoning out for one or two hours, like no matter how bad of a day you had, its physically impossible to have a wide smile while playing this gem of a game, even have the game stil floating around somewhere
I fell in love with the Arcade version of this game!!! I love it. It is a ton of fun even now.

I remember playing the arcade version back in ‘06 and it was a blast to play. Also, I’m pretty sure the Taxi franchise from France might be the closest thing to a Crazy Taxi adap as we can get or the Jimmy Fallon/Queen Latifah remake of those movies 😅😂

Just seeing this video in my notifications got _All I Want_ by The Offspring stuck in my head. Crazy Taxi is how I formed my obsession with The Offspring that I still have to this day; whenever they release a new song or album, I go straight to Amazon's MP3 download store and purchase the new release. My favorite Offspring album is a tie between _Smash_ and _Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace._
I loved playing this on Dreamcast.
When Xbox got it in their library I was so hyped. I still suck at it but it's so fun.

Did you ever play The Simpsons knockoff version, Road Rage? The driving is actually much smoother in that game compared to the OG Crazy Taxi.

I loved the Dreamcast and it's still one of my favorite consoles. Crazy Taxi was one of my favorite games on the Dreamcast. Got it on Xbox 360 and it's fun, but something about the original and the Dreamcast controller made me like it better. I also prefer the sponsored stores to over the generic stores.
I'm not sure how I feel about a reboot of the series. I feel the game came out in an era where the arcades ideas where creative and the graphics were still better than consoles. That era has died a long time ago. I'm not sure what they can do to make it appealing. I'd rather just play the original.
I'm excited for the new one.

It's another case where the phone version is better than modern console ports. Crazy Taxi Classic on iPhone/Android has the licensed music.

Played it first in an arcade on my birthday as a kid, got the ps2 port next year, loved that game but there was a lot that didn't make it into the ps2 version unfortunately
