A while back we took a look at the original Family Guy video game so I thought it was now time to take a look at the second Family Guy video game that came out in 2012, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse. Let's see if this game was an improvement on the last or isn't worth your time.

I preordered the game and even to this day I love to play through it. It may be short at times, but it's a guilty pleasure to play this game and have fun with it.

I played this for the first time exactly one year ago, bought the steam key and had a blast

The multiverse episode was the highest rated in the series until the vault episode, so it could have worked.
But there's too few levels and it was too much of an action game instead of something like a Telltale adventure game.

I absolutely adored this game I even 100%'d it with ALL unlockables even the multiplayer ones. I do think it was short but made up for it with the awesome multiplayer modes. And think it was a great Family Guy Experience. Do I think it harkened back to the show a lot? 100% But I think (IMO) it was more about making references to what people loved then to expand it. I actually loved that aspect. It felt like I was playing between episodes.

I cleared this game last year just opting to play it on a whim and honestly written similar to the show and pretty decent game not out of this world great but enjoyable nonetheless.

This one was actually good i played it for the PS3. I loved it and didn't play the other games you mentioned. I hope it gets ported to the switch.

Quite frankly, it looks fun. I would imagine they thought that multiplayer could carry the game, but that's nearly always a bad bet. It'd be great to see a multi-genre Family Guy game. Have RPG elements and FPS mixed together and as long as the story takes at least as long as a Halo game, that'd be enough.

Tbh this game it's kinda alright they really wanna recreate like simpsons the game art style but with third person shooter i mean it's the same publisher make cod so it's kinda make sense i guess but hey at least this game better than previous game right

Yeah neither of the Family Guy console games are all that good. If I had to choose one, I'd definitely pick this one over the first game, but that's only because the first one was just not a good game overall. This one is at least good enough to control and there's no crappy stealth levels. Plus the multiplayer is at least fun for a little bit with friends as just a small break from the games we usually play. But it's just an ok game overall and I would never pay full price for it. Thankfully it's a whole lot cheaper these days and I paid like around $20 for it.
